< Mapisarema 14 >
1 Kumutungamiri wokuimba. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Benzi rinoti mumwoyo maro, “Hakuna Mwari.” Vakaora, mabasa avo akashata; hakuna anoita zvakanaka.
To the Chief Musician. David’s. The impious hath said in his heart—There is no God! They have acted corruptly, they have done an abominable deed, there is none that doeth good.
2 Jehovha ari kudenga anotarira pasi pamusoro pavanakomana vavanhu, kuti aone kana aripo anonzwisisa, naani zvake anotsvaka Mwari.
Yahweh, out of the heavens, looked down over the sons of men, —to see whether there was one that showed wisdom, enquiring after God: —
3 Vose vakatsauka, vose pamwe chete vakasvibiswa; hakuna anoita zvakanaka, kunyange nomumwe.
The whole, have turned aside, Together have they become tainted, —There is none that doeth good, not so much as, one!
4 Ko, vaiti vezvakaipa havadzidziwo here, ivo vanodya vanhu vangu savanhu vanodya chingwa, uye vasingadani kuna Jehovha?
Are all the workers of iniquity, without knowledge? devouring my people [as] they devour food! Upon Yahweh, have they not called.
5 Pavari ipapo, vakazara nokutya, nokuti Mwari ari paungano yavakarurama.
There have they been in great dread, because, God, is in the circle of the righteous man.
6 Imi vaiti vezvakaipa, munokanganisa urongwa hwavarombo, asi Jehovha ndiye utiziro hwavo.
The purpose of the poor, ye would put to shame, because, Yahweh, is his refuge.
7 Haiwa, dai ruponeso rwaIsraeri rwaibuda muZioni! Kana Jehovha achidzosazve nhaka yavanhu vake, Jakobho ngaapembere uye Israeri ngaafare.
Oh that, out of Zion, were granted the salvation of Israel! When Yahweh bringeth back the captives of his people, Jacob, shall exult, Israel, be glad.
