< Ruka 10 >
1 Shure kwaizvozvo Ishe akagadza vamwe makumi manomwe akavatuma achiita vaviri vaviri pamberi pake kumaguta nokunzvimbo dzose kwaakanga achizoenda.
After this, the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on ahead, two by two, to every town and place where he himself was about to go.
2 Akati kwavari, “Kukohwa kukuru, asi vashandi vashoma. Naizvozvo kumbirai kuna She wokukohwa, kuti atume vashandi mumunda wake wokukohwa.
He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
3 Endai! Ndiri kukutumai samakwayana pakati pamapere.
Now go on your way. Behold, I am sending you out like lambs in the midst of wolves.
4 Musatora chikwama, kana hombodo, kana shangu; uye musakwazisa munhu panzira.
Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, and no sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
5 “Pamunopinda mumba, mutange namashoko okuti, ‘Rugare ngaruve muimba ino.’
Whenever you enter a house, first say, ‘May peace be upon this house!’
6 Kana munhu worugare arimo, rugare rwenyu ruchazorora pamusoro pake; kana zvikasadaro, ruchadzokera kwamuri.
If there is a man of peace there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you.
7 Garai muimba iyoyo muchidya nokunwa zvose zvavanokupai nokuti mubati akafanirwa nomubayiro wake. Musapota-pota nedzimba.
Remain in the same house, eating and drinking whatever they provide, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
8 “Pamunopinda muguta uye vakakugamuchirai, mudye zvose zvinoiswa pamberi penyu.
Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you.
9 Poresai vanorwara varimo mugovaudza kuti, ‘Umambo hwaMwari hwaswedera.’
Heal the sick in that city and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has drawn near to you.’
10 Asi pamunopinda muguta uye mukasagamuchirwa, muende munzira dzaro mugoti,
But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,
11 ‘Kunyange neguruva reguta renyu rakanamatira patsoka dzedu tinoripukuta nokuda kwenyu. Asi muzive izvi: Umambo hwaMwari hwaswedera.’
‘Even the dust that clings to us from your town we wipe off against you. Yet know this: The kingdom of God has drawn near to you.’
12 Ndinokuudzai kuti pazuva iro, Sodhomu richarerukirwa kwazvo kupfuura guta iroro.
I tell you, on that day it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for that town.
13 “Une nhamo iwe, Korazini! Une nhamo iwe, Bhetisaidha! Nokuti dai zvishamiso zvakaitwa mauri zvakanga zvaitwa muTire neSidhoni, vangadai vakatendeuka kare, vakagara mumadota vakafuka masaga.
“Woe to yoʋ, Chorazin! Woe to yoʋ, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 Asi Tire neSidhoni zvicharerukirwa pakutongwa kupfuura imi.
But it will be more tolerable at the judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you.
15 Uye iwe, Kapenaume, uchasimudzirwa kudenga here? Kwete, uchaburuka kwakadzika. (Hadēs )
And yoʋ, Capernaum, who have been exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades. (Hadēs )
16 “Anokunzwai imi, anondinzwa ini; uyo anokurambai imi, anondirambawo ini; asi uyo anondiramba, anoramba iye akandituma.”
“He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
17 Vana makumi manomwe vakadzoka nomufaro vakati, “Ishe, kunyange madhimoni anozviisa pasi pedu muzita renyu.”
When the seventy returned, they were joyful and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in yoʋr name.”
18 Akati kwavari, “Ndakaona Satani achiwa kubva kudenga semheni.
He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
19 Ndakupai simba rokuti mutsike pamusoro penyoka nezvinyavada uye kuti mukunde simba rose romuvengi; hakuna chichakukuvadzai.
Behold, I am giving you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and to overcome all the power of the enemy, and nothing at all will harm you.
20 Kunyange zvakadaro hazvo, musafara nokuti mweya yakaipa inozviisa pasi penyu, asi farai kuti mazita enyu akanyorwa kudenga.”
Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
21 Panguva iyoyo Jesu azere nomufaro kubudikidza noMweya Mutsvene, akati, “Ndinokuvongai, Baba, Ishe wokudenga nepasi, nokuti makavanzira vakachenjera navakadzidza zvinhu izvi, mukazvizarurira kuvacheche. Hongu, Baba nokuti zvakakufadzai.
At that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I praise yoʋ, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because yoʋ have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in yoʋr sight.”
22 “Zvinhu zvose ndakazvipiwa naBaba vangu. Hakuna munhu anoziva kuti Mwanakomana ndiani kunze kwaBaba, uye hakuna munhu anoziva kuti Baba ndiani kunze kwoMwanakomana naavo Mwanakomana vaanenge asarudza kuvazarurira.”
Then he turned to the disciples and said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
23 Ipapo akatendeukira kuvadzidzi vake vari voga akati, “Akaropafadzwa meso anoona zvamuoona,
Then he turned to the disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see!
24 nokuti ndinokuudzai kuti vaprofita vazhinji namadzimambo vaida kuona zvamunoona asi havana kuzviona, uye nokunzwa zvamunonzwa asi havana kuzvinzwa.”
For I tell you that many prophets and kings wished to see the things you see but did not see them, and to hear the things you hear but did not hear them.”
25 Mumwe musi mududziri womurayiro akasimuka kuti aedze Jesu. Akati, “Mudzidzisi ndinofanira kuiteiko kuti ndiwane nhaka youpenyu husingaperi?” (aiōnios )
And behold, a lawyer stood up to test Jesus, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios )
26 Iye akapindura akati, “Mumurayiro makanyorweiko? Unouverenga seiko?”
Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law? How do yoʋ read it?”
27 Akapindura akati, “‘Ida Ishe Mwari wako nomwoyo wako wose, uye nomweya wako wose, uye nesimba rako rose nokufunga kwako kwose,’ uye ‘Ida muvakidzani wako sokuda kwaunozviita iwe.’”
He answered, “Yoʋ shall love the Lord yoʋr God with all yoʋr heart, with all yoʋr soul, with all yoʋr strength, and with all yoʋr mind; and yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.”
28 Jesu akapindura akati, “Wapindura zvakanaka. Ita izvozvo ugorarama.”
Jesus said to him, “Yoʋ have answered correctly; do this and yoʋ will live.”
29 Asi iye akanga achida kuzviruramisa, saka akabvunza Jesu akati, “Muvakidzani wangu ndianiko?”
But wishing to justify himself, he said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Jesu akapindura akati, “Mumwe murume aiburuka achibva kuJerusarema achienda kuJeriko, paakawira mumaoko amakororo. Vakamubvisa nguo dzake, vakamurova ndokuenda zvavo, vachimusiya oda kufa.
Jesus replied, “A man was going down to Jericho from Jerusalem and fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him as he was, half dead.
31 Zvakaitika kuti mumwe muprista akafambawo nenzira iyoyo, uye akati achiona murume uyo, akamunyenyeredza.
Now a priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
32 Saizvozvowo, muRevhi akasvika panzvimbo iyoyo akamuona, akamunyenyeredzawo.
In the same way, a Levite, when he came to that place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 Asi muSamaria, aiva parwendo, akasvika pakanga pano murume uya; uye akati achimuona, akamunzwira tsitsi.
But a Samaritan, who was on a journey, came to where the man was, and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion.
34 Akaenda paari akamusunga maronda ake, akaadira mafuta newaini. Ipapo akamutora akamukwidza pambongoro yake, akamuendesa kuimba yavaeni, akamuchengeta.
He went over to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35 Fume mangwana akatora mari yesirivha akaipa kumuchengeti weimba yavaeni. Akati kwaari, ‘Muchengetei uye pandinodzoka, ndichakuripirai zvose zvamunenge mawedzera pane zvandakupai.’
On the next day, when he was departing, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more yoʋ spend I will repay to yoʋ when I return.’
36 “Ndianiko pavanhu vatatu ava waunofunga kuti akanga ari muvakidzani kuna iye akawira mumaoko amakororo?”
Now which of these three do yoʋ think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 Mududziri womurayiro akati, “Uyo akamunzwira tsitsi.” Jesu akati kwaari, “Enda unoita saizvozvo.”
The lawyer said, “The one who showed him mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
38 Jesu navadzidzi vake pavakanga vachifamba, vakasvika pano mumwe musha; mumwe mukadzi ainzi Marita akamugamuchira mumba make.
As Jesus and his disciples went along, he entered a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home.
39 Akanga ano mununʼuna wake ainzi Maria, uyo akagara patsoka dzaShe achiteerera kune zvaakanga achitaura.
She had a sister named Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet and listened to what he was saying.
40 Asi Marita akatadziswa kuteerera nokuda kwokugadzirira kwose kwaifanira kuitwa. Akauya kwaari akati, “Ishe hamuna hanya here kuti mununʼuna wangu andisiya ndichingoshanda ndoga? Muudzei kuti andibatsirewo!”
But Martha was distracted by the many preparations that had to be made. So she came up to Jesus and said, “Lord, do yoʋ not care that my sister has left me to make all the preparations by myself? Tell her then to assist me.”
41 Ishe akapindura akati, “Marita, Marita, uri kufunganya nokugumburwa pamusoro pezvinhu zvizhinji,
But Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, yoʋ are anxious and troubled about many things,
42 asi pane chinhu chimwe chete chinodikanwa. Maria asarudza chinhu chiri nani, uye haazochitorerwi.”
but only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, and it will not be taken away from her.”
