Psalmi 14

1 Reèe bezumnik u srcu svojem: nema Boga; nevaljali su, gadna su djela njihova; nema nikoga dobro da tvori.

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no Elohim ·Deity, Judge·.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.

2 Gospod pogleda s neba na sinove èovjeèije, da vidi ima li koji razuman, traži li koji Boga.

Adonai looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.

3 Svi su zašli, svi se pokvarili, nema nikoga dobro da tvori, nema nijednoga.

All have gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.

4 Zar se neæe opametiti koji èine bezakonje, jedu narod moj kao što jedu hljeb, ne prizivaju Gospoda?

Have all the workers of vain striving of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Adonai?

5 Ondje æe zadrhtati od straha; jer je Gospod u rodu pravednom.

There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the upright.

6 Smijete se onome što ubogi radi; ali Gospod njega zaklanja.

You frustrate the plan of the poor, because Adonai is his refuge.

7 Ko æe poslati sa Siona pomoæ Izrailju? Kad Gospod povrati zarobljeni narod svoj, onda æe se radovati Jakov i veseliæe se Izrailj.

Oh that the yishu'ah ·salvation· of Israel [God prevails] would come out of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]! When Adonai restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob [Supplanter] shall rejoice, and Israel [God prevails] shall be glad.
