1 อนนฺตรํ ส ชนนิวหํ นิรีกฺษฺย ภูธโรปริ วฺรชิตฺวา สมุปวิเวศฯ
And Jhesus, seynge the puple, wente vp in to an hil; and whanne he was set, hise disciplis camen to hym.
2 ตทานีํ ศิเษฺยษุ ตสฺย สมีปมาคเตษุ เตน เตภฺย เอษา กถา กถฺยาญฺจเกฺรฯ
And he openyde his mouth, and tauyte hem, and seide,
3 อภิมานหีนา ชนา ธนฺยา: , ยตเสฺต สฺวรฺคียราชฺยมฺ อธิกริษฺยนฺติฯ
Blessed ben pore men in spirit, for the kyngdom of heuenes is herne.
4 ขิทฺยมานา มนุชา ธนฺยา: , ยสฺมาตฺ เต สานฺตฺวนำ ปฺราปฺสนฺติฯ
Blessid ben mylde men, for thei schulen welde the erthe.
5 นมฺรา มานวาศฺจ ธนฺยา: , ยสฺมาตฺ เต เมทินีมฺ อธิกริษฺยนฺติฯ
Blessid ben thei that mornen, for thei schulen be coumfortid.
6 ธรฺมฺมาย พุภุกฺษิตา: ตฺฤษารฺตฺตาศฺจ มนุชา ธนฺยา: , ยสฺมาตฺ เต ปริตรฺปฺสฺยนฺติฯ
Blessid ben thei that hungren and thristen riytwisnesse, for thei schulen be fulfillid.
7 กฺฤปาลโว มานวา ธนฺยา: , ยสฺมาตฺ เต กฺฤปำ ปฺราปฺสฺยนฺติฯ
Blessid ben merciful men, for thei schulen gete merci.
8 นิรฺมฺมลหฺฤทยา มนุชาศฺจ ธนฺยา: , ยสฺมาตฺ ต อีศฺจรํ ทฺรกฺษฺยนฺติฯ
Blessid ben thei that ben of clene herte, for thei schulen se God.
9 เมลยิตาโร มานวา ธนฺยา: , ยสฺมาตฺ ต อีศฺจรสฺย สนฺตานเตฺวน วิขฺยาสฺยนฺติฯ
Blessid ben pesible men, for thei schulen be clepid Goddis children.
10 ธรฺมฺมการณาตฺ ตาฑิตา มนุชา ธนฺยา, ยสฺมาตฺ สฺวรฺคียราเชฺย เตษามธิกโร วิทฺยเตฯ
Blessid ben thei that suffren persecusioun for riytfulnesse, for the kingdam of heuenes is herne.
11 ยทา มนุชา มม นามกฺฤเต ยุษฺมานฺ นินฺทนฺติ ตาฑยนฺติ มฺฤษา นานาทุรฺวฺวากฺยานิ วทนฺติ จ, ตทา ยุยํ ธนฺยา: ฯ
`Ye schulen be blessid, whanne men schulen curse you, and schulen pursue you, and shulen seie al yuel ayens you liynge, for me.
12 ตทา อานนฺทต, ตถา ภฺฤศํ หฺลาทธฺวญฺจ, ยต: สฺวรฺเค ภูยำสิ ผลานิ ลปฺสฺยเธฺว; เต ยุษฺมากํ ปุราตนานฺ ภวิษฺยทฺวาทิโน'ปิ ตาทฺฤคฺ อตาฑยนฺฯ
Ioie ye, and be ye glad, for youre meede is plenteuouse in heuenes; for so thei han pursued `also profetis that weren bifor you.
13 ยุยํ เมทินฺยำ ลวณรูปา: , กินฺตุ ยทิ ลวณสฺย ลวณตฺวมฺ อปยาติ, ตรฺหิ ตตฺ เกน ปฺรกาเรณ สฺวาทุยุกฺตํ ภวิษฺยติ? ตตฺ กสฺยาปิ การฺยฺยสฺยาโยคฺยตฺวาตฺ เกวลํ พหิ: ปฺรกฺเษปฺตุํ นราณำ ปทตเลน ทลยิตุญฺจ โยคฺยํ ภวติฯ
Ye ben salt of the erthe; that if the salt vanysche awey, whereynne schal it be saltid? To no thing it is worth ouere, no but that it be cast out, and be defoulid of men.
14 ยูยํ ชคติ ทีปฺติรูปา: , ภูธโรปริ สฺถิตํ นครํ คุปฺตํ ภวิตุํ นหิ ศกฺษฺยติฯ
Ye ben liyt of the world; a citee set on an hil may not be hid;
15 อปรํ มนุชา: ปฺรทีปานฺ ปฺรชฺวาลฺย โทฺรณาโธ น สฺถาปยนฺติ, กินฺตุ ทีปาธาโรปรฺเยฺยว สฺถาปยนฺติ, เตน เต ทีปา เคหสฺถิตานฺ สกลานฺ ปฺรกาศยนฺติฯ
ne me teendith not a lanterne, and puttith it vndur a busschel, but on a candilstike, that it yyue liyt to alle that ben in the hous.
16 เยน มานวา ยุษฺมากํ สตฺกรฺมฺมาณิ วิโลกฺย ยุษฺมากํ สฺวรฺคสฺถํ ปิตรํ ธนฺยํ วทนฺติ, เตษำ สมกฺษํ ยุษฺมากํ ทีปฺติสฺตาทฺฤกฺ ปฺรกาศตามฺฯ
So schyne youre liyt befor men, that thei se youre goode werkis, and glorifie youre fadir that is in heuenes.
17 อหํ วฺยวสฺถำ ภวิษฺยทฺวากฺยญฺจ โลปฺตุมฺ อาคตวานฺ, อิตฺถํ มานุภวต, เต เทฺว โลปฺตุํ นาคตวานฺ, กินฺตุ สผเล กรฺตฺตุมฺ อาคโตสฺมิฯ
Nil ye deme, that Y cam to vndo the lawe, or the profetis; Y cam not to vndo the lawe, but to fulfille.
18 อปรํ ยุษฺมานฺ อหํ ตถฺยํ วทามิ ยาวตฺ โวฺยมเมทิโนฺย รฺธฺวํโส น ภวิษฺยติ, ตาวตฺ สรฺวฺวสฺมินฺ สผเล น ชาเต วฺยวสฺถายา เอกา มาตฺรา พินฺทุเรโกปิ วา น โลปฺสฺยเตฯ
Forsothe Y seie to you, til heuene and erthe passe, o lettir or o titel shal not passe fro the lawe, til alle thingis be doon.
19 ตสฺมาตฺ โย ชน เอตาสามฺ อาชฺญานามฺ อติกฺษุทฺรามฺ เอกาชฺญามปี ลํฆเต มนุชำญฺจ ตไถว ศิกฺษยติ, ส สฺวรฺคียราเชฺย สรฺเวฺวภฺย: กฺษุทฺรเตฺวน วิขฺยาสฺยเต, กินฺตุ โย ชนสฺตำ ปาลยติ, ตไถว ศิกฺษยติ จ, ส สฺวรฺคียราเชฺย ปฺรธานเตฺวน วิขฺยาสฺยเตฯ
Therfor he that brekith oon of these leeste maundementis, and techith thus men, schal be clepid the leste in the rewme of heuenes; `but he that doith, and techith, schal be clepid greet in the kyngdom of heuenes.
20 อปรํ ยุษฺมานฺ อหํ วทามิ, อธฺยาปกผิรูศิมานวานำ ธรฺมฺมานุษฺฐานาตฺ ยุษฺมากํ ธรฺมฺมานุษฺฐาเน โนตฺตเม ชาเต ยูยมฺ อีศฺวรียราชฺยํ ปฺรเวษฺฏุํ น ศกฺษฺยถฯ
And Y seie to you, that but your riytfulnesse be more plenteuouse than of scribis and of Farisees, ye schulen not entre into the kyngdom of heuenes.
21 อปรญฺจ ตฺวํ นรํ มา วธี: , ยสฺมาตฺ โย นรํ หนฺติ, ส วิจารสภายำ ทณฺฑาโรฺห ภวิษฺยติ, ปูรฺวฺวกาลีนชเนภฺย อิติ กถิตมาสีตฺ, ยุษฺมาภิรศฺราวิฯ
Ye han herd that it was seid to elde men, Thou schalt not slee; and he that sleeth, schal be gilti to doom.
22 กินฺตฺวหํ ยุษฺมานฺ วทามิ, ย: กศฺจิตฺ การณํ วินา นิชภฺราเตฺร กุปฺยติ, ส วิจารสภายำ ทณฺฑาโรฺห ภวิษฺยติ; ย: กศฺจิจฺจ สฺวียสหชํ นิรฺพฺโพธํ วทติ, ส มหาสภายำ ทณฺฑาโรฺห ภวิษฺยติ; ปุนศฺจ ตฺวํ มูฒ อิติ วากฺยํ ยทิ กศฺจิตฺ สฺวียภฺราตรํ วกฺติ, ตรฺหิ นรกาคฺเนา ส ทณฺฑาโรฺห ภวิษฺยติฯ (Geenna g1067)
But Y seie to you, that ech man that is wrooth to his brothir, schal be gilti to doom; and he that seith to his brother, Fy! schal be gilti to the counseil; but he that seith, Fool, schal be gilti to the fier of helle. (Geenna g1067)
23 อโต เวทฺยา: สมีปํ นิชไนเวเทฺย สมานีเต'ปิ นิชภฺราตรํ ปฺรติ กสฺมาจฺจิตฺ การณาตฺ ตฺวํ ยทิ โทษี วิทฺยเส, ตทานีํ ตว ตสฺย สฺมฺฤติ รฺชายเต จ,
Therfor if thou offrist thi yifte `at the auter, and ther thou bithenkist, that thi brothir hath sum what ayens thee,
24 ตรฺหิ ตสฺยา เวทฺยา: สมีเป นิชไนไวทฺยํ นิธาย ตไทว คตฺวา ปูรฺวฺวํ เตน สารฺทฺธํ มิล, ปศฺจาตฺ อาคตฺย นิชไนเวทฺยํ นิเวทยฯ
leeue there thi yifte bifor the auter, and go first to be recounselid to thi brothir, and thanne thou schalt come, and schalt offre thi yifte.
25 อนฺยญฺจ ยาวตฺ วิวาทินา สารฺทฺธํ วรฺตฺมนิ ติษฺฐสิ, ตาวตฺ เตน สารฺทฺธํ เมลนํ กุรุ; โน เจตฺ วิวาที วิจารยิตุ: สมีเป ตฺวำ สมรฺปยติ วิจารยิตา จ รกฺษิณ: สนฺนิเธา สมรฺปยติ ตทา ตฺวํ การายำ พเธฺยถา: ฯ
Be thou consentynge to thin aduersarie soone, while thou art in the weie with hym, lest perauenture thin aduersarie take thee to the domesman, and the domesman take thee to the mynystre, and thou be sent in to prisoun.
26 ตรฺหิ ตฺวามหํ ตถฺถํ พฺรวีมิ, เศษกปรฺทเก'ปิ น ปริโศธิเต ตสฺมาตฺ สฺถานาตฺ กทาปิ พหิราคนฺตุํ น ศกฺษฺยสิฯ
Treuli Y seie to thee, thou shalt not go out fro thennus, til thou yelde the last ferthing.
27 อปรํ ตฺวํ มา วฺยภิจร, ยเทตทฺ วจนํ ปูรฺวฺวกาลีนโลเกภฺย: กถิตมาสีตฺ, ตทฺ ยูยํ ศฺรุตวนฺต: ;
Ye han herd that it was seid to elde men, Thou schalt `do no letcherie.
28 กินฺตฺวหํ ยุษฺมานฺ วทามิ, ยทิ กศฺจิตฺ กามต: กาญฺจน โยษิตํ ปศฺยติ, ตรฺหิ ส มนสา ตไทว วฺยภิจริตวานฺฯ
But Y seie to you, that euery man that seeth a womman for to coueite hir, hath now do letcherie bi hir in his herte.
29 ตสฺมาตฺ ตว ทกฺษิณํ เนตฺรํ ยทิ ตฺวำ พาธเต, ตรฺหิ ตนฺเนตฺรมฺ อุตฺปาฏฺย ทูเร นิกฺษิป, ยสฺมาตฺ ตว สรฺวฺววปุโษ นรเก นิกฺเษปาตฺ ตไวกางฺคสฺย นาโศ วรํฯ (Geenna g1067)
That if thi riyt iye sclaundre thee, pulle hym out, and caste fro thee; for it spedith to thee, that oon of thi membris perische, than that al thi bodi go in to helle. (Geenna g1067)
30 ยทฺวา ตว ทกฺษิณ: กโร ยทิ ตฺวำ พาธเต, ตรฺหิ ตํ กรํ ฉิตฺตฺวา ทูเร นิกฺษิป, ยต: สรฺวฺววปุโษ นรเก นิกฺเษปาตฺ เอกางฺคสฺย นาโศ วรํฯ (Geenna g1067)
And if thi riyt hond sclaundre thee, kitte hym aweye, and caste fro thee; for it spedith to thee that oon of thi membris perische, than that al thi bodi go in to helle. (Geenna g1067)
31 อุกฺตมาเสฺต, ยทิ กศฺจินฺ นิชชายำ ปริตฺยกฺตฺตุมฺ อิจฺฉติ, ตรฺหิ ส ตไสฺย ตฺยาคปตฺรํ ททาตุฯ
And it hath be seyd, Who euere leeueth his wijf, yyue he to hir a libel of forsakyng.
32 กินฺตฺวหํ ยุษฺมานฺ วฺยาหรามิ, วฺยภิจารโทเษ น ชาเต ยทิ กศฺจินฺ นิชชายำ ปริตฺยชติ, ตรฺหิ ส ตำ วฺยภิจารยติ; ยศฺจ ตำ ตฺยกฺตำ สฺตฺริยํ วิวหติ, โสปิ วฺยภิจรติฯ
But Y seie to you, that euery man that leeueth his wijf, outtakun cause of fornycacioun, makith hir to do letcherie, and he that weddith the forsakun wijf, doith auowtrye.
33 ปุนศฺจ ตฺวํ มฺฤษา ศปถมฺ น กุรฺวฺวนฺ อีศฺจราย นิชศปถํ ปาลย, ปูรฺวฺวกาลีนโลเกโภฺย ไยษา กถา กถิตา, ตามปิ ยูยํ ศฺรุตวนฺต: ฯ
Eftsoone ye han herd, that it was seid to elde men, Thou schalt not forswere, but thou schalt yelde thin othis to the Lord.
34 กินฺตฺวหํ ยุษฺมานฺ วทามิ, กมปิ ศปถํ มา การฺษฺฏ, อรฺถต: สฺวรฺคนามฺนา น, ยต: ส อีศฺวรสฺย สึหาสนํ;
But Y seie to you, that ye swere not `for ony thing; nethir bi heuene, for it is the trone of God;
35 ปฺฤถิวฺยา นามฺนาปิ น, ยต: สา ตสฺย ปาทปีฐํ; ยิรูศาลโม นามฺนาปิ น, ยต: สา มหาราชสฺย ปุรี;
nether bi the erthe, for it is the stole of his feet; nether bi Jerusalem, for it is the citee of a greet kyng; nether thou shalt not swere bi thin heed,
36 นิชศิโรนามฺนาปิ น, ยสฺมาตฺ ตไสฺยกํ กจมปิ สิตมฺ อสิตํ วา กรฺตฺตุํ ตฺวยา น ศกฺยเตฯ
for thou maist not make oon heere white, ne blacke;
37 อปรํ ยูยํ สํลาปสมเย เกวลํ ภวตีติ น ภวตีติ จ วทต ยต อิโต'ธิกํ ยตฺ ตตฺ ปาปาตฺมโน ชายเตฯ
but be youre word, Yhe, yhe; Nay, nay; and that that is more than these, is of yuel.
38 อปรํ โลจนสฺย วินิมเยน โลจนํ ทนฺตสฺย วินิมเยน ทนฺต: ปูรฺวฺวกฺตมิทํ วจนญฺจ ยุษฺมาภิรศฺรูยตฯ
Ye han herd that it hath be seid, Iye for iye, and tothe for tothe.
39 กินฺตฺวหํ ยุษฺมานฺ วทามิ ยูยํ หึสกํ นรํ มา วฺยาฆาตยตฯ กินฺตุ เกนจิตฺ ตว ทกฺษิณกโปเล จเปฏาฆาเต กฺฤเต ตํ ปฺรติ วามํ กโปลญฺจ วฺยาโฆฏยฯ
But Y seie to you, that ye ayenstonde not an yuel man; but if ony smyte thee in the riyt cheke, schewe to him also the tothir;
40 อปรํ เกนจิตฺ ตฺวยา สารฺธฺทํ วิวาทํ กฺฤตฺวา ตว ปริเธยวสเน ชิฆฺฤติเต ตสฺมายุตฺตรียวสนมปิ เทหิฯ
and to hym that wole stryue with thee in doom, and take awey thi coote, leeue thou `to him also thi mantil;
41 ยทิ กศฺจิตฺ ตฺวำ โกฺรศเมกํ นยนารฺถํ อนฺยายโต ธรติ, ตทา เตน สารฺธฺทํ โกฺรศทฺวยํ ยาหิฯ
and who euer constreyneth thee a thousynde pacis, go thou with hym othir tweyne.
42 ยศฺจ มานวสฺตฺวำ ยาจเต, ตไสฺม เทหิ, ยทิ กศฺจิตฺ ตุภฺยํ ธารยิตุมฺ อิจฺฉติ, ตรฺหิ ตํ ปฺรติ ปรำมุโข มา ภู: ฯ
Yyue thou to hym that axith of thee, and turne not awey fro hym that wole borewe of thee.
43 นิชสมีปวสินิ เปฺรม กุรุ, กินฺตุ ศตฺรุํ ปฺรติ เทฺวษํ กุรุ, ยเทตตฺ ปุโรกฺตํ วจนํ เอตทปิ ยูยํ ศฺรุตวนฺต: ฯ
Ye han herd that it was seid, Thou shalt loue thi neiybore, and hate thin enemye.
44 กินฺตฺวหํ ยุษฺมานฺ วทามิ, ยูยํ ริปุวฺวปิ เปฺรม กุรุต, เย จ ยุษฺมานฺ ศปนฺเต, ตาน, อาศิษํ วทต, เย จ ยุษฺมานฺ ฤตียนฺเต, เตษำ มงฺคลํ กุรุต, เย จ ยุษฺมานฺ นินฺทนฺติ, ตาฑยนฺติ จ, เตษำ กฺฤเต ปฺรารฺถยธฺวํฯ
But Y seie to you, loue ye youre enemyes, do ye wel to hem that hatiden you, and preye ye for hem that pursuen, and sclaundren you;
45 ตตฺร ย: สตามสตาญฺโจปริ ปฺรภากรมฺ อุทายยติ, ตถา ธารฺมฺมิกานามธารฺมฺมิกานาญฺโจปริ นีรํ วรฺษยติ ตาทฺฤโศ โย ยุษฺมากํ สฺวรฺคสฺถ: ปิตา, ยูยํ ตไสฺยว สนฺตานา ภวิษฺยถฯ
that ye be the sones of your fadir that is in heuenes, that makith his sunne to rise vpon goode `and yuele men, and reyneth on iust men and vniuste.
46 เย ยุษฺมาสุ เปฺรม กุรฺวฺวนฺติ, ยูยํ ยทิ เกวลํ เตเวฺวว เปฺรม กุรุถ, ตรฺหิ ยุษฺมากํ กึ ผลํ ภวิษฺยติ? จณฺฑาลา อปิ ตาทฺฤศํ กึ น กุรฺวฺวนฺติ?
For if ye louen hem that louen you, what mede schulen ye han? whether pupplicans doon not this?
47 อปรํ ยูยํ ยทิ เกวลํ สฺวียภฺราตฺฤเตฺวน นมต, ตรฺหิ กึ มหตฺ กรฺมฺม กุรุถ? จณฺฑาลา อปิ ตาทฺฤศํ กึ น กุรฺวฺวนฺติ?
And if ye greten youre britheren oonli, what schulen ye do more? ne doon not hethene men this?
48 ตสฺมาตฺ ยุษฺมากํ สฺวรฺคสฺถ: ปิตา ยถา ปูรฺโณ ภวติ, ยูยมปิ ตาทฺฤศา ภวตฯ
Therfore be ye parfit, as youre heuenli fadir is parfit.
