ரோமிண​: 3

1 அபரஞ்ச யிஹூதி³ந​: கிம்’ ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²த்வம்’? ததா² த்வக்சே²த³ஸ்ய வா கிம்’ ப²லம்’?

So what advantage does the Jew have, or what is the profit of circumcision?

2 ஸர்வ்வதா² ப³ஹூநி ப²லாநி ஸந்தி, விஸே²ஷத ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸா²ஸ்த்ரம்’ தேப்⁴யோ(அ)தீ³யத|

Much in every way! First of all, because they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

3 கைஸ்²சித்³ அவிஸ்²வஸநே க்ரு’தே தேஷாம் அவிஸ்²வஸநாத் கிம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய விஸ்²வாஸ்யதாயா ஹாநிருத்பத்ஸ்யதே?

So, what if some did not believe? Their unbelief will not nullify God's faithfulness, will it?

4 கேநாபி ப்ரகாரேண நஹி| யத்³யபி ஸர்வ்வே மநுஷ்யா மித்²யாவாதி³நஸ்ததா²பீஸ்²வர​: ஸத்யவாதீ³| ஸா²ஸ்த்ரே யதா² லிகி²தமாஸ்தே, அதஸ்த்வந்து ஸ்வவாக்யேந நிர்த்³தோ³ஷோ ஹி ப⁴விஷ்யஸி| விசாரே சைவ நிஷ்பாபோ ப⁴விஷ்யஸி ந ஸம்’ஸ²ய​: |

Of course not! Rather, let God be found true, but every man a liar; just as it is written: “That you may be justified in your words, and may overcome when you are judged.”

5 அஸ்மாகம் அந்யாயேந யதீ³ஸ்²வரஸ்ய ந்யாய​: ப்ரகாஸ²தே தர்ஹி கிம்’ வதி³ஷ்யாம​: ? அஹம்’ மாநுஷாணாம்’ கதா²மிவ கதா²ம்’ கத²யாமி, ஈஸ்²வர​: ஸமுசிதம்’ த³ண்ட³ம்’ த³த்த்வா கிம் அந்யாயீ ப⁴விஷ்யதி?

Now if our unrighteousness highlights God's righteousness, what shall we say? God is not unrighteous for inflicting His wrath, is He? (I speak as a man.)

6 இத்த²ம்’ ந ப⁴வது, ததா² ஸதீஸ்²வர​: கத²ம்’ ஜக³தோ விசாரயிதா ப⁴விஷ்யதி?

Of course not! Otherwise, how will God judge the world?

7 மம மித்²யாவாக்யவத³நாத்³ யதீ³ஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸத்யத்வேந தஸ்ய மஹிமா வர்த்³த⁴தே தர்ஹி கஸ்மாத³ஹம்’ விசாரே(அ)பராதி⁴த்வேந க³ண்யோ ப⁴வாமி?

Still, if the truth of God abounded to His glory by my falsehood, just why am I still judged as a sinner?

8 மங்க³லார்த²ம்’ பாபமபி கரணீயமிதி வாக்யம்’ த்வயா குதோ நோச்யதே? கிந்து யைருச்யதே தே நிதாந்தம்’ த³ண்ட³ஸ்ய பாத்ராணி ப⁴வந்தி; ததா²பி தத்³வாக்யம் அஸ்மாபி⁴ரப்யுச்யத இத்யஸ்மாகம்’ க்³லாநிம்’ குர்வ்வந்த​: கியந்தோ லோகா வத³ந்தி|

However, we must not say, “Let us do evil so that good may come” (as some people slanderously claim that we do)—their condemnation is well deserved!

9 அந்யலோகேப்⁴யோ வயம்’ கிம்’ ஸ்²ரேஷ்டா²​: ? கதா³சந நஹி யதோ யிஹூதி³நோ (அ)ந்யதே³ஸி²நஸ்²ச ஸர்வ்வஏவ பாபஸ்யாயத்தா இத்யஸ்ய ப்ரமாணம்’ வயம்’ பூர்வ்வம் அத³தா³ம|

What then? Are we any better? Not at all! For we have already charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.

10 லிபி ர்யதா²ஸ்தே, நைகோபி தா⁴ர்ம்மிகோ ஜந​: |

Just as it is written: “No one is righteous, not even one;

11 ததா² ஜ்ஞாநீஸ்²வரஜ்ஞாநீ மாநவ​: கோபி நாஸ்தி ஹி|

there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.

12 விமார்க³கா³மிந​: ஸர்வ்வே ஸர்வ்வே து³ஷ்கர்ம்மகாரிண​: | ஏகோ ஜநோபி நோ தேஷாம்’ ஸாது⁴கர்ம்ம கரோதி ச|

All have turned aside, together they have been made useless; there is no one who shows kindness, no, not so much as one.”

13 ததா² தேஷாந்து வை கண்டா² அநாவ்ரு’தஸ்²மஸா²நவத்| ஸ்துதிவாத³ம்’ ப்ரகுர்வ்வந்தி ஜிஹ்வாபி⁴ஸ்தே து கேவலம்’| தேஷாமோஷ்ட²ஸ்ய நிம்நே து விஷம்’ திஷ்ட²தி ஸர்ப்பவத்|

“Their throat is an opened grave; they habitually deceive with their tongues.” “Viper's venom is under their lips”;

14 முக²ம்’ தேஷாம்’ ஹி ஸா²பேந கபடேந ச பூர்ய்யதே|

“whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”

15 ரக்தபாதாய தேஷாம்’ து பதா³நி க்ஷிப்ரகா³நி ச|

“Their feet are swift to shed blood;

16 பதி² தேஷாம்’ மநுஷ்யாணாம்’ நாஸ²​: க்லேஸ²ஸ்²ச கேவல​: |

ruin and wretchedness are in their paths,

17 தே ஜநா நஹி ஜாநந்தி பந்தா²நம்’ ஸுக²தா³யிநம்’|

and the way of peace they have not known.”

18 பரமேஸா²த்³ ப⁴யம்’ யத்தத் தச்சக்ஷுஷோரகோ³சரம்’|

“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

19 வ்யவஸ்தா²யாம்’ யத்³யல்லிக²தி தத்³ வ்யவஸ்தா²தீ⁴நாந் லோகாந் உத்³தி³ஸ்²ய லிக²தீதி வயம்’ ஜாநீம​: | ததோ மநுஷ்யமாத்ரோ நிருத்தர​: ஸந் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத்³ அபராதீ⁴ ப⁴வதி|

Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world become accountable to God.

20 அதஏவ வ்யவஸ்தா²நுரூபை​: கர்ம்மபி⁴​: கஸ்²சித³பி ப்ராணீஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத் ஸபுண்யீக்ரு’தோ ப⁴விதும்’ ந ஸ²க்ஷ்யதி யதோ வ்யவஸ்த²யா பாபஜ்ஞாநமாத்ரம்’ ஜாயதே|

It follows that no flesh will be justified in His sight by the works of the law, because through the law comes the real knowledge of sin.

21 கிந்து வ்யவஸ்தா²யா​: ப்ரு’த²க்³ ஈஸ்²வரேண தே³யம்’ யத் புண்யம்’ தத்³ வ்யவஸ்தா²யா ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³க³ணஸ்ய ச வசநை​: ப்ரமாணீக்ரு’தம்’ ஸத்³ இதா³நீம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²தே|

But now, apart from law, a righteousness from God has been revealed, being attested by the Law and the Prophets,

22 யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டே விஸ்²வாஸகரணாத்³ ஈஸ்²வரேண த³த்தம்’ தத் புண்யம்’ ஸகலேஷு ப்ரகாஸி²தம்’ ஸத் ஸர்வ்வாந் விஸ்²வாஸிந​: ப்ரதி வர்த்ததே|

namely, a righteousness from God through faith in Jesus Christ, into all and upon all those who believe. There is no difference:

23 தேஷாம்’ கோபி ப்ரபே⁴தோ³ நாஸ்தி, யத​: ஸர்வ்வஏவ பாபிந ஈஸ்²வரீயதேஜோஹீநாஸ்²ச ஜாதா​: |

all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

24 த ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாநுக்³ரஹாத்³ மூல்யம்’ விநா க்²ரீஷ்டக்ரு’தேந பரித்ராணேந ஸபுண்யீக்ரு’தா ப⁴வந்தி|

being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;

25 யஸ்மாத் ஸ்வஸோ²ணிதேந விஸ்²வாஸாத் பாபநாஸ²கோ ப³லீ ப⁴விதும்’ ஸ ஏவ பூர்வ்வம் ஈஸ்²வரேண நிஸ்²சித​: , இத்த²ம் ஈஸ்²வரீயஸஹிஷ்ணுத்வாத் புராக்ரு’தபாபாநாம்’ மார்ஜ்ஜநகரணே ஸ்வீயயாதா²ர்த்²யம்’ தேந ப்ரகாஸ்²யதே,

whom God has openly made available as a propitiation through the faith in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness because of the passing over, in God's forbearance, of the previously committed sins;

26 வர்த்தமாநகாலீயமபி ஸ்வயாதா²ர்த்²யம்’ தேந ப்ரகாஸ்²யதே, அபரம்’ யீஸௌ² விஸ்²வாஸிநம்’ ஸபுண்யீகுர்வ்வந்நபி ஸ யாதா²ர்தி²கஸ்திஷ்ட²தி|

to demonstrate His righteousness at this present time, so as to be just, Himself, and the justifier of him who is of the Faith of Jesus.

27 தர்ஹி குத்ராத்மஸ்²லாகா⁴? ஸா தூ³ரீக்ரு’தா; கயா வ்யவஸ்த²யா? கிம்’ க்ரியாரூபவ்யவஸ்த²யா? இத்த²ம்’ நஹி கிந்து தத் கேவலவிஸ்²வாஸரூபயா வ்யவஸ்த²யைவ ப⁴வதி|

Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law, that of works? No, but by a law of faith.

28 அதஏவ வ்யவஸ்தா²நுரூபா​: க்ரியா விநா கேவலேந விஸ்²வாஸேந மாநவ​: ஸபுண்யீக்ரு’தோ ப⁴விதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதீத்யஸ்ய ராத்³தா⁴ந்தம்’ த³ர்ஸ²யாம​: |

Therefore we conclude that a person is justified by faith apart from works of law.

29 ஸ கிம்’ கேவலயிஹூதி³நாம் ஈஸ்²வரோ ப⁴வதி? பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸி²நாம் ஈஸ்²வரோ ந ப⁴வதி? பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸி²நாமபி ப⁴வதி;

Or is God for Jews only? Is He not also for Gentiles? Yes, also for Gentiles,

30 யஸ்மாத்³ ஏக ஈஸ்²வரோ விஸ்²வாஸாத் த்வக்சே²தி³நோ விஸ்²வாஸேநாத்வக்சே²தி³நஸ்²ச ஸபுண்யீகரிஷ்யதி|

since indeed there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through the Faith.

31 தர்ஹி விஸ்²வாஸேந வயம்’ கிம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²ம்’ லும்பாம? இத்த²ம்’ ந ப⁴வது வயம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²ம்’ ஸம்’ஸ்தா²பயாம ஏவ|

Do we then nullify law through the Faith? Of course not! Rather, we uphold law.
