< Mathayo 10 >
1 U Yesu abhakwizya abhanafunzi bhakwe kumi na bhabhele peka nahupele amamulaka juu yimpepo imbibhi, hubha khalipile na habhadigizye na ponyle iayina zyonti zimagonjwa ni ayina zi mpongo.
He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
2 Amatawa kumi na gabhele gatumwa. Lyawhande u Simeoni (ambaye tena agiziwaga yu Petro), nu Andrea ukolo wakwe, u Yakobo umwana wa Zebedayo, nu Yohana ukolo wakwe:
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simeon [Hearing], who is called Peter [Rock]; Andrew [Manly], his brother; James son of Zebedee [Surplanter son of Yah Has Bestowed]; John [Yah is gracious], his brother;
3 U Philipo, nu Bartelemayo, Thomaso, nu Mathayo usonkolezya uwushuru, u Yakobo umwana wa Alfayo, nu Tadeo,
Philip [Loves horses]; Bartholomew [Son who suspends waters]; Thomas [Seeker of truth]; Matthew [Gift of Yah] the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus [Surplanter son-of Changing]; Lebbaeus [Child of courage], who was also called Thaddaeus [Child of heart];
4 U Simoni mkananayo, nu Yuda Iskariote, walisaliti.
Simeon [Hearing] the Canaanite [Descendant of Humbled]; and Judas Iscariot [Praised Dagger-man], who also betrayed him.
5 Ebha kumi na bhabhele u Yesu abha sontelezezye. Nape abhaelekezezye ayanjile “Msahabhale isehemu uhabhakhala amataifa na msahinjile mizikhaya zya Bhasamalia.
Yeshua [Salvation] sent these twelve out, and commanded them, saying, “Don’t go among the Gentiles, and don’t enter into any city of the Samaritans [people from Watch-mountain].
6 Badala yakwe, mubhale hungole zizitejile ziyumba yi Israeli.
Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel [God prevails].
7 Na lwamubhala lumbililaji na yanje uwumwene wa humwanya upalamiye.'
As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven (God) is at hand!’
8 Bhaponylaji abhabhinu, zyosyaji abhafwe, safisyaji bhiukoma na digizye impepo. Mposheleye wene fumyaji wene.
Heal the sick, cleanse the people afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy·, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.
9 Usaheje iwe lihela, ialmasi au ishaba mumpogoso zyenyu.
Don’t take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.
10 Usaheje imbugulu katika isafari yenyu, au amenda giziada, vilyato au endesa, afatanaje umombi ahanziwa ishalye shakwe.
Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
11 Ikhaya yoyonti au ishijiji shamwayihijila, anzi wahubhafaa na mukhale epo hadi lwamwayisogola.
Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on.
12 Lwamwayihinjila munyumba lamubhi,
As you enter into the household, say “Shalom aleikhem! ·Complete peace my family·!
13 nkesho inyumba ifaa, uwinza wenyu u syale epo, ila nkesho inyumba sigiifwa, uwinza wusogole peka namwe,
If the household deserves it, let your shalom ·complete peace· come on it, but if it is not, let your shalom ·complete peace· make teshuvah ·complete return· to you.
14 Na whabhala bhasaga bhahubhaposhela amwe au atejelezye amazu genyu, isala zyamusogola hunyumba au hukhaya eyo, jipukuti masuto gilwayo lwenyu pamahali epo.
Whoever does not receive you, nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet.
15 Lyoli ihumbawozya, gayibha gajimbe hani amiji gi Sodoma ni Gomorah whisiku lilongwe kuliko umuji ago.
Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom [Burning] and Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants] in the day of judgment than for that city.
16 Enyi, ihubhatuma hansi ingole pakasi yimbwalonde, eshi bhanje nuwelewa hansi inzoha na bhapomakati hansi enjebha.
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
17 Mubhanje bhenyelezi na bhantu bhanza hubhatwale humabaraza, na hubhakhome muvibhanza.
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you.
18 Na mwayiletwa whilongolela lyabha gosi na bhamwene husabu yane, hansi usimisizyo humwawo na humataifa.
Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
19 Hubala lwabhayituhumu, musahabhe niwasiwasi shinamunawele shayanje, afwatanaje ishintu shayanje mwayipewa husala eyo.
But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
20 Afwatanaje sagamwemwe mwayiyanga, ila Upepo wa Baba wenyu ayiyanga muhanti yenyu.
For it is not you who speak, but haRuach [the Spirit, Breath] of 'Avikah ·your Father· who speaks in you.
21 Uholo ayihumwinushila uholo wakwe hugoje, baba whamwana wakwe. Abhana bhayiwhemelela dhidi ya pafi, na hubasababisizye ufwe.
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
22 Namwe mwanyivitilwa na kila muntu husabu yitawa lyane. Ila wowonti wayijimbilila hadi humwisho umuntu oyo ayiauliha.
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
23 Isala yabhahubhatesa katikaikhaya ene, shembelelaji ikhaya yifatila, lyoli ihabhawozya, zyonti zi Israeli kabla ya mwana wa Adamu sagawelile.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel [God prevails], until the Son of Man has come.
24 Umwanafunzi saga gosi ashile umwalimu wakwe, wala umutumwa walihumwanya ya Gosi wakwe.
“A disciple is not above his Rabbi ·Teacher·, nor a servant above his lord.
25 Itosya wha mwanafunzi aje abhe hansi umwalimu wakwe, nu mutumishi hansi u Gosi wakwe. Nkesho bhan'kwizizye Ugosi winyumba Belzabuli, hushiasi wele hani bhanzahubha kashifu bhinyumba yakwe!
It is enough for the disciple that he be like his Rabbi ·Teacher·, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Ba'al-Zibbul [Lord of Flies], how much more those of his household!
26 Esho basi musawogope abhene, afwatanaje hamuna ijambo lyasagalyayi kwinkuliwa, nalimo lilifishe lyasagalyaimanyiha.
Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known.
27 Shila shihubhawozya muhisi, shiyangaji umuzelu na shamushevwa huulayini mumakutu genyu mshitangazye lwamuli pamwanya yinyumba.
What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 Mubawogope bhala bhabhagogo obele ila sagabhalinuwuwezo wagoje umwoyo. Badala yakwe, mogopaji ola wawezya ahangamizye ubele nu moyo hula whilongo. (Geenna )
Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead). (Geenna )
29 Eshi ikaziwa husenti indodo? Hata shesho enemo yiwezya agwe pansi bila ubaba wenyu amanye.
“Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion coin (a trivial cost)? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from 'Avikah ·your Father·’s will,
30 Ila hata iidadi yinsisi zyenyu zi bhaziwilwe.
but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Mugaje abhe niwoga, afwatanaje mlinithani hani kuliko ikasuku inyinji.
Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
32 Esho basi kila weka wayihuneteha whilongolela lya bhantu, nane tena nayihumweteha whilongolela lya Baba wane walihumwanya.
Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
33 Ila uwene wayihukhana whilongolela lya bhantu, nane tena nayihukhana whilongolela lya Baba wane walihumwanya.
But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
34 Musasebhe aje enenzele alete uwinza panse. Saganahenzele aete uwinza, ila ipanga.
“Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a machaira ·machete, small sword knife·.
35 Afwatanaje nahenzele ahumehse umuntu ashindane nubaba wakwe, nu mwale dhidi ya maye wakwe, ukhoyi dhidi ya khoyi wakwe.
For I came to set a son at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 Umibhi wa muntu bhanzabhe bhabhala bha munyumba yakwe.
A man’s foes will be those of his own household.
37 Uwene wagene ubaba au umaye hani kuliko ane oyo saga ahufhaa. Nu wene wagene ovwele au umwale hani kuliko ane oyo sagaahufhaa.
He who phileo ·affectionately loves, has high regard, approval of· father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who phileo ·affectionately loves, has high regard, approval of· son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 Uwene wasaga bhawhangate ikhobhehanyo na hufhate ane saga ahufhaa.
He who does not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
39 Uwene wayiwhanza ukhalo ayihugatezya. Ila uwene wayitezya ukhalo kwa ajili yane ayihwuwaga.
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 Uwene wayihubhakaribisya ankalibisizye nene, nu mwene wayihunkalibisya ane ankalibisizye iwene wantumile ane.
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a upright man in the name of a upright man will receive a upright man’s reward.
42 Wowonti ayihupela weka wa dodo ebha, hata ishikombe shimenze gamwele gagakhateye, kwa sababu uwene yumwanafunzi, lyoli ihumbawozya, uwene sagayiwezya akose whidala lyolyonti ithawabu yakwe.”
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward.”
