< Yohana 6 >

1 Baada ye enongwa ezi, oYesu abahlile hu Bahari ye Galilaya nantele huhweta isombe lye Tiberia.
After these things, Jesus went to the other side of the sea of Galilee or of Tiberias.
2 Obhongano ogosi gwali guhufuata afuatanaje bhalolile ealama zyabhombile hwa bhala bhabhali bhawinu.
And great multitudes went after him; because they had seen the signs which he wrought upon the sick.
3 O Yesu azubhile pamwanya hadi sehemu ya pamwanya hwigamba na akhaye ohwo na bhanafunzi bhakwe
And Jesus ascended a mountain, and there he seated himself with his disciples.
4 (Epasaka, ye shikulukulu sha Yahudi yali efishile).
And the feast of the Jewish passover was near.
5 O Yesu abhosezye amaso amwanya nalole owinji wa bhantu bhahwenza hwamwene, wabhozya oFilipo, “Tibhala hwii akale amabumunda aje ebhankabhapate alye”?
And Jesus raised his eyes, and saw a great multitude coming towards him; and he said to Philip: Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6 (Ila oYesu agayanjile ega hwa Filipo apimaga pima afuatanaje omwene yoyo amenye haibhomba).
And this he said, to try him; for he knew what he was about to do.
7 O Filipo ajile, “Ata mabumunda hela hata dinari mia mbili seganzatosye shila muntu apate hashe hashe.”
Philip said to him: Two hundred denarii in bread would not suffice them, that each might take but a little.
8 O Andrea, omo webhanafunzi bhakwe ohoho wakwe oSimoni Petro abhozyezye
One of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Cephas, said to him:
9 O Yesu, “Ahweli osahala epa ali na mabumunda gasanu ne samaki zi bhele, eshi ene ekhondeye yenu hwa bhantu abhinji enamuna ene?”
There is a lad here, who hath with him five cakes of barley, and two fishes; but what are these for all those people?
10 O Yesu abhozya, “Aje bhakhazyi abhantu pansi” (kulikuwa na nyasi nyingi mahali pale). Hivyo wanaume wapata elfu tano wakakaa chini.
Jesus said to them: Make all the people recline. Now there was much grass in that place: and the people reclined, in number five thousand.
11 Pamande oYesu wega amabumunda gasanu wasombwezye wabhagabhila bhala bhabhakheye. Shesho wabhagabhila esamaki alengane shabha hanzaga.
And Jesus took the bread, and blessed, and distributed to them that reclined. And so also, with the fish; as much as they desired.
12 Abhantu nabhahakuta, abhabhozya abhanafunzi bhakwe, “Bhonganyi evigalizi vyavisageye aje nkaviganje ateje vyovyonti.”
And when they were satisfied, he said to his disciples: Gather up the fragments which remain, that nothing be lost.
13 Bhabhonganya na memwe evitondo kumi ne vibhele, evipande vye mabumunda visanu vyavyasageye na bhala bhabhalyanga.
And they collected and filled twelve baskets, with fragments of what remained to them that had eaten of the five barley cakes.
14 Pamande abhantu na bhalola embombo zya bhombile bhajile, “Lyoli ono yayola okuwaa wahwenza munsi.”
And those people, when they saw the sign which Jesus had wrought, said: Certainly, this is that prophet who was to come into the world.
15 O Yesu nagunduye aje bhahwanza ahukhate ili aje bhabheshe aje mwene wabho, ahwitenjile, nantele abhalile hwigamba omwene mwene.
And Jesus knew, that they were about to come and take him by force, and make him king: and he retired into a mountain alone.
16 Nahwali lyabhela, abhanafunzi bhakwe bhalushile abhale hwidimi idodo.
And when it was evening, his disciples went down to the sea,
17 Bhapandile mwitoli bhali bhalobhoha abhale hu Kaperanaumu. (Enkisi yali eyenyiye no Yesu ali sele sayenzele hwabhene).
and sat in a ship, and were going over to Capernaum. And darkness came on, and Jesus had not come to them.
18 Eshipindi esho ehala engosi yali evugula, ne nsombe yali ehwendelela achafushe.
And the sea was boisterous against them, for a violent wind was blowing.
19 Nantele abhanafunzi bhakwe na bhali wakhomile emakasia kama shilini natano au thelathini wahalola oYesu ajenda pamwanya ye somba azuwilile itoli, wahogopa.
And they had gone about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, when they saw Jesus walking upon the sea: and as he drew near to the ship, they were afraid.
20 Ila wabhabhozya, “Nene mganjehwogope.”
But Jesus said to them: It is I; be not afraid.
21 Antele bhalitayali ahunyemle mwitoli, itoli nalyafihoa insi ya bhalaga.
And they were glad to receive him into the ship. And, directly, the ship was at the land to which they were going.
22 Isiku lyalyafuatile, obhongano gwa hemeleye oupande wensombe bhalolaga aje nalimo itoli lya mwabho ila lila ambalyo oYesu na bhanafunzi bhakwe bhali sebhalipandile ila abhanafunzi bhakwe bhali bhahwibhaliyee bhebho.
And the next day, the multitude, who had remained on the other side of the sea, saw that there was no other ship there, except that in which the disciples embarked, and that Jesus did not embark in that ship with his disciples;
23 (Japokuwa hwa hali amitoli gamo gafumaga hu Tiberia peepe ne sehemu hwabha lyanga amabumunda baada ya Gosi afumwe ulusalifyo).
yet that other ships had come from Tiberias, near to the place where they ate the bread when Jesus blessed it.
24 Omuda embongano na bhamanya aje se yo Yesu wala sebhanafunzi bhakwe bhali hula, abhene bhebho wapende mwitoli bhabhala hu Kaperanaumu bhalondola oYesu.
And when the multitude saw, that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples; they embarked in ships, and came to Capernaum, and sought for Jesus.
25 Na bhahapata esehemu ya mwabho ye oimi dodo bhabhozya, “Mwalimwa ohenzele ndii ohu?”
And when they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him: Our Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
26 O Yesu ayanga, abhabhozya, Etisheli, etisheli, munaanza ane, sio aje mwazilolile embombo ila afuatanaje mwaliye amabumunda nakute.
Jesus replied and said to them: Verily, verily, I say to you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the signs, but because ye ate the bread and were satisfied.
27 Leshi ashibhombela embombo eshalye shashi na nchiha, ila mshibhombele embombo eshalye shashikhala wilawila shila omwana wa Adamu shaibhapela, afuatanaje Ongolobhe Odaada abheshele omuhuri pamwanya yakwe.” (aiōnios g166)
Labor not for the food that perisheth, but for the food that abideth unto life eternal, which the Son of man will give to you; for him hath God the Father sealed. (aiōnios g166)
28 Pamande bhabhozya, “Hantu hahwanziwa abhombe aje abhombe embombo ya Ngolobhe?”
They said to him: What shall we do, in order to work the works of God?
29 O Yesu ajibu, “Ene ye mbombo ya Ngolobhe: aje mwenteshe omwene wa ntumile.”
Jesus replied and said to them: This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
30 Bhabhozya, “Aje alama anshi zyobhabhombe, aje tibhazilole na humweteshele? Obhabhombe bhole?
They say to him: What sign doest thou, that we may see and believe in thee? What workest thou?
31 Adaada bhetu bhaliye emanna mwipoli, nanshi sheyaandihwe, “Abhapiye amabumunda afume amwanya nkabhalye.”
Our fathers ate the manna, in the wilderness; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
32 O Yesu abhabhozya, “Etisheli, etisheli, sio yo Musa abhapiye amabumunda afume amwanya, bali Baba yangu ndiye awapaye mkate wa kweli kutoka mbinguni.
Jesus said to them: Verily, verily, I say to you, Moses gave you not the bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the real bread from heaven.
33 Afuatanaje ibumunda lya Ngolobhe lyalila lyalihwiha afume amwanya naipele ensi owomi.
For the bread of God is, he that came down from heaven, and giveth life to the world.
34 Eshi bhabhozya, “Bhaga Gosi tipelaje amabumunda wilawila.”
They say to him: Our Lord, give us at all times this bread.
35 O Yesu ahaga, “Ane endi libumunda lye womi, omwene wa hwenza huline sagailola enzala omwene wane teshela sagaichisila enzara omwene waneteshela sagaichisila na mwaha eshomelwa.”
Jesus said to them: I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me, shall not hunger; and he that believeth on me, shall not thirst, for ever.
36 Ijapokuwa embabhozezye aje, mundolile, lakini semuhweteshela.
But I said to you, That ye have seen me, and do not believe.
37 Bhonti oDaada wampiye bhanzahwenze huline, na wawonti wahwenza huline senaihutaga honze kabisa.
All that my Father gave me, will come to me: and him, that cometh to me, I will not cast out.
38 Afwatanaje enishile afume amwanya, sehwahubhombe olusongwo lwane, ila ulusongwo lwa wantumile.
For I came down from heaven, not to do my own pleasure, but the pleasure of him that sent me.
39 No olu lwo lusongwo lwakwe wantumile, aje nsatezye hata muntu omo bhala bhombiye, ila ehaibhazyosya isiku lya mwisho.
And this is the pleasure of him that sent me, that whatever he hath given me, I should lose nothing of it, but should raise it up at the last day.
40 Afuatanaje ega gasongwa Odaada wane, aje wawonti wa humwenya Omwana na humweteshele apate owomi wewila wila; wenu wanaihuzyonsya isiku elya mwisho. (aiōnios g166)
For this is the pleasure of my Father, that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have life eternal; and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
41 Pamande ayahudi walalamishila ahusu omwene afuatanaje ayanjile, “Ane endi libumunda lyalihwiha afume amwanya.”
Then the Jews murmured at him, because he said: I am the bread, who have descended from heaven.
42 Bhayanga, “Ono seyo Yesu omwana wa Yusufu, odaada wakwe no nyina wakwe timenye? Shili bhole esalezi aiga, 'Enishile afume humwanya`?”
And they said: Is not this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? And how doth he say: I came down from heaven?
43 O Yesu ahayanga, ajile, “Muganje alalamishalane mhati yenyu mwemwe.
Jesus replied and said to them: Murmur not, one with another.
44 Nomo omuntu wahwenza huline nkashe savutilwe no Daada wane wantumile, nane naihuvyonsya isiku elya mwisho.
No man can come to me, unless the Father who sent me, shall draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 Afuatanaje eyandihwe hwa kuwaa, 'Bhanzasambelezewe no Ngolobhe.' Shila wayomvwezya asambeleye afume hwa Daada, ahwenza huline.
For it is written, in the prophet: And they shall all be taught of God. Whoever, therefore, heareth from the Father, and learneth from him, cometh to me.
46 Sio aje ahweli omuntu walolile Odaada, ila omwene wafuma hwa Ngolobhe- alolile Odaada.
Not that any one hath seen the Father, except him who hath come from God; he it is, hath seen the Father.
47 Eteha, eteha omwene wanetesheye ali no womi wewilawila. (aiōnios g166)
Verily, verily, I say to you: That, to him who believeth in me, there is life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
48 Ane endi libumunda lye womi.
I am the bread of life.
49 adaada bhetu bhaliye emanna mwipoli, bhahafwa.
Your fathers ate the manna, in the wilderness, and they died.
50 Eli ndiyo libumunda lyalihwiha afume amwanya, ili omuntu alye nkaganje afwe.
But this is the bread which cometh from heaven, that a man may eat of it, and not die.
51 Ane endi libumunda lyalikhala lyalilishile afume amwanya. Nanshi omuntu wawonti nkalye ibumunda eli, aihwizya wilawila. Ibumunda lye mbefumye bele gwane alengane no womi ensi.” (aiōn g165)
I am the bread of life, who have come down from heaven: and if a man shall eat of this bread, he will live for ever. And the bread which I shall give, is my body, which I give for the life of the world. (aiōn g165)
52 Ayahudi bhavitwa bhebho hu bhebho bhanda abisanye bhaiga, “Omuntu ono awezizye bhole atipele obele gwakwe tiilye?”
Then the Jews contended one with another, and said: How can he give us his body to eat?
53 Nantele oYesu wabhbhozya, “Etesheli, etesheli, nkashe semwailya obele gwa Mwana wa Adamu na mwele idanda lyakwe, semwaibha nowomi muhati yenyu.
And Jesus said to them: Verily, verily, I say to you, That, unless ye eat the body of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life within you.
54 Wawonti wailya obele gwane na mwele idanda lyane ali no womi wewilawila, nane naihuvyonsya isiku lya mwisho. (aiōnios g166)
But he that eateth of my body, and drinketh of my blood, to him is life eternal; and I will raise him up at the last day (aiōnios g166)
55 Afwatanaje obele gwane shalye she lyoli, ni danda lyane shimwelo she lyoli.
For my body truly is food, and my blood truly is drink.
56 Omwe wagulya obele gwane na mwele idanda lyane akhala muhati yane, nane mhati yakwe.
He that eateth my body, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him
57 Nanshi Odaada we womi shantumile, nanshi shakheye alengane no Daada, wakwe no mwene aikhala alengangane.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he that shall eat me, he also will live because of me.
58 Eli libumunda lyali hwihaafume amwanya, sio nanshi shila Adaada wenyu bhaliye bhafwa. Omwene wanzalye ibumunda eli ayikhala wilawila. (aiōn g165)
This is the bread that came down from heaven: not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; whoever shall eat of this bead, will live for ever. (aiōn g165)
59 O Yesu ayanjile enongwa ezi mshibhanza nahali afundizya hu Kaperanaumu.
These things he uttered in the synagogue, while teaching at Capernaum.
60 Abhinji abhanafunzi bhakwe bhahomvweze ega, bhayanjile, “Eli lifundizyo likhone wenu wawezizye aliposhele?”
And many of his disciples who heard him, said: This is a hard speech, who can hear it.
61 O Yesu afuatanaje amenye aje abhanafunzi bhakwe bhalalamiha iswali eli libhavisya, akawambia je jambo hili linawakwaza?
And Jesus knew in himself, that his disciples murmured at this; and he said to them, Doth this stumble you?
62 Eshi shaibha na waihulola omwana wa Adamu naihwiha afume hwahweli kabisa?
If then, ye were to see the Son of man ascend, to where he was from the beginning!
63 Yo Mpempo yayoyo wafumya owomi. Obele saguhwavwa nkahamo. Amazu ge njanjile hulimwe ga mpempo no womi.
It is the Spirit that vivifieth; the body profiteth nothing. The words which I have used with you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 Bhahweli abhantu hulimwe bhasebhahweteshela.” afuatanaje oYesu amenye fume hale ola wasaga hweteshela na ola omwene wanzahusyonshele.
But there are some of you, that believe not. For Jesus knew, from the beginning, who they were that believed not, and who it was that would betray him.
65 Wabhabhozya, aje shasheshi nabhabhozezye aje nomo omuntu wayenza huline ila apewilwe no Daada.”
And he said to them: For this reason, I said to you, That no one can come to me, unless it be given to him by my Father.
66 Baada yega abhanafunzi bhakwe wonti wawela akhosi na khatane nawo nantele.
On account of this speech, many of his disciples turned back, and walked not with him.
67 O Yesu wabhabhozya bhala kumi na bhabhele, “Aje namwe muhwanza asogole?”
And Jesus said to the twelve: Are ye also disposed to go away?
68 O Simoni oPetulo wayanga, “Gosi tibhale hwa nanu afatanaje awe oli ni izu lya womi wewilawila, (aiōnios g166)
Simon Cephas replied, and said: My Lord, to whom shall we go? The words of life eternal are with thee. (aiōnios g166)
69 natetesheye na manye aje awe oligolosu wa Ngolobhe.”
And we believe, and know, that thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living God.
70 O Yesu wayanga, “Aje ane senabhachaguye amwe, na omo wenyu yo setano?
Jesus said to them: Have not I chosen you twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.
71 Eshi aliayanga ahusu oYuda, omwana wa Simoni Iskariote, afwatanaje ali yoyoyo ali pamo na bhala kumi na bhabhele, ambaye wasyonsheye oYesu.
This he spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for he was afterwards to betray him, being one of the twelve.
