Psalmii 84
1 Mai marelui muzician pe o harpă ghitită, un psalm pentru fiii lui Core. Cât de iubite sunt tabernacolele tale, DOAMNE al oștirilor!
How yadid ·lovely· are your dwellings, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies]!
2 Sufletul meu tânjește, da, chiar leșină după curțile DOMNULUI, inima mea și carnea mea strigă după Dumnezeul cel viu.
My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Adonai. My heart and my flesh cry out for the Elohim Chayim [Living God].
3 Da, vrabia și-a găsit o casă și rândunica un cuib pentru ea, unde să își culce puii; Ah! altarele tale, DOAMNE al oștirilor, Împăratul meu și Dumnezeul meu.
Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], my King, and my God.
4 Binecuvântați sunt cei ce locuiesc în casa ta, ei te vor lăuda fără încetare. (Selah)
Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
5 Binecuvântat este omul a cărui tărie este în tine; în inima lor, căile sunt croite.
Blessed are those whose strength is in you; who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
6 Trecând prin valea Baca, ei o prefac în fântână; ploile de asemenea umplu iazurile.
Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
7 Ei merg din tărie în tărie, toți se arată înaintea lui Dumnezeu în Sion.
They go from strength to strength. Everyone of them appears before God in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking].
8 DOAMNE Dumnezeul oștirilor, ascultă rugăciunea mea, deschide urechea, Dumnezeul lui Iacob. (Selah)
Adonai, Elohim Tzva'ot [Yahweh, God Commander of heaven’s armies], sh'ma ·hear obey·, my prayer. Give ear to me, God of Jacob [Supplanter]. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
9 Dumnezeule, scutul nostru, privește, și uită-te la fața unsului tău.
Behold, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed.
10 Căci o zi în curțile tale este mai bună decât o mie. Mai bine să fiu ușier în casa Dumnezeului meu, decât să locuiesc în corturile stricăciunii.
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 Căci DOMNUL Dumnezeu este un soare și un scut; DOMNUL va da har și glorie, nu va opri niciun bine celor ce umblă cu integritate.
For Adonai God is a sun and a shield. Adonai will give chen ·grace· and kavod ·weighty glory·. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
12 DOAMNE al oștirilor, binecuvântat este omul care se încrede în tine.
Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], blessed is the man who trusts in you.
