João 3
1 Agora havia um homem dos fariseus chamado Nicodemus, um governante dos judeus.
There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 Ele veio a Jesus à noite e lhe disse: “Rabino, sabemos que você é um mestre vindo de Deus, pois ninguém pode fazer estes sinais que você faz, a menos que Deus esteja com ele”.
The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus lhe respondeu: “Certamente eu lhe digo, a menos que alguém nasça de novo, ele não pode ver o Reino de Deus”.
Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say to thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus disse-lhe: “Como pode um homem nascer quando é velho? Pode ele entrar uma segunda vez no ventre de sua mãe e nascer?”
Nicodemus saith to him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus respondeu: “Certamente vos digo que, a menos que alguém nasça da água e do Espírito, não pode entrar no Reino de Deus”.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say to thee, Except a man be born of water, and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 O que é nascido da carne é carne. O que é nascido do Espírito é espírito.
That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit.
7 Não se admire que eu lhe tenha dito: “Você deve nascer de novo”.
Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born again.
8 O vento sopra onde quer, e você ouve seu som, mas não sabe de onde ele vem e para onde vai. Assim é com todos que nascem do Espírito”.
The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest the sound of it, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus respondeu-lhe: “Como podem ser estas coisas”?
Nicodemus answered and said to him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus lhe respondeu: “Você é o professor de Israel e não entende estas coisas?
Jesus answered and said to him, Art thou a teacher of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Certamente eu lhe digo, nós falamos o que sabemos e testemunhamos do que vimos, e você não recebe nossa testemunha.
Verily, verily, I say to thee, We speak what we know, and testify what we have seen; and ye receive not our testimony.
12 Se eu lhe disser coisas terrenas e você não acreditar, como você acreditará se eu lhe disser coisas celestiais?
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how will ye believe if I tell you heavenly things?
13 Ninguém subiu ao céu, senão aquele que desceu do céu, o Filho do Homem, que está no céu.
And no man hath ascended to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man who is in heaven.
14 Assim como Moisés ergueu a serpente no deserto, assim também o Filho do Homem deve ser erguido,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
16 Pois Deus amou tanto o mundo, que deu seu único Filho nascido, para que todo aquele que nele crê não pereça, mas tenha a vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
17 Pois Deus não enviou seu Filho ao mundo para julgar o mundo, mas para que o mundo seja salvo através dele.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him may be saved.
18 Aquele que acredita nele não é julgado. Aquele que não acredita já foi julgado, porque não acreditou no nome do único Filho de Deus que nasceu.
He that believeth on him, is not condemned: but he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
19 Este é o julgamento, que a luz veio ao mundo, e os homens amaram mais as trevas do que a luz, pois suas obras eram más.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men have loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 Para todos que fazem o mal, odeiam a luz e não vêm à luz, para que suas obras não sejam expostas.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 Mas aquele que faz a verdade vem à luz, para que suas obras sejam reveladas, para que elas tenham sido feitas em Deus”.
But he that doeth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
22 Depois destas coisas, Jesus veio com seus discípulos para a terra da Judéia. Ele ficou lá com eles e batizou.
After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 João também estava batizando em Enon, perto de Salim, porque havia muita água lá. Eles vieram e foram batizados;
And John also was baptizing in Enon, near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
24 pois João ainda não foi atirado na prisão.
For John was not yet cast into prison.
25 Portanto, surgiu uma disputa por parte dos discípulos de João com alguns judeus sobre purificação.
Then there arose a question between [some] of John's disciples and the Jews, about purifying.
26 Eles vieram até João e lhe disseram: “Rabi, aquele que estava contigo além do Jordão, a quem tu testemunhaste, eis que ele batiza, e todos estão vindo até ele”.
And they came to John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou didst bear testimony, behold, the same baptizeth, and all [men] come to him.
27 John respondeu: “Um homem não pode receber nada, a menos que lhe tenha sido dado do céu.
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
28 Vocês mesmos testemunham que eu disse: 'Eu não sou o Cristo', mas, 'eu fui enviado antes dele'.
Ye yourselves bear me testimony, that I said I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29 Aquele que tem a noiva é o noivo; mas o amigo do noivo, que está de pé e o ouve, se alegra muito por causa da voz do noivo. Por isso, minha alegria se torna plena.
He that hath the bride, is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly, because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30 Ele deve aumentar, mas eu devo diminuir.
He must increase, but I [must] decrease.
31 “Aquele que vem de cima está acima de tudo. Aquele que é da terra pertence à terra e fala da terra. Aquele que vem do céu está acima de tudo.
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 O que ele viu e ouviu, do que ele testemunha; e ninguém recebe sua testemunha.
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 Aquele que recebeu sua testemunha, que Deus é verdadeiro, tem o seu selo.
He that hath received his testimony, hath set to his seal that God is true.
34 Para aquele que Deus enviou, fala as palavras de Deus; pois Deus dá o Espírito sem medida.
For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God: for [to him] God giveth not the Spirit by measure.
35 O Pai ama o Filho, e entregou todas as coisas em suas mãos.
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36 Aquele que crê no Filho tem a vida eterna, mas aquele que desobedece ao Filho não verá a vida, mas a ira de Deus permanece sobre ele”. (aiōnios g166)
He that believeth on the Son, hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (aiōnios g166)
