João 13
1 Agora, antes da festa da Páscoa, Jesus, sabendo que havia chegado a sua hora de partir deste mundo para o Pai, tendo amado os seus que estavam no mundo, amou-os até o fim.
And before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing that his hour hath come, that he may remove out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own who [are] in the world — to the end he loved them.
2 Durante o jantar, tendo o diabo já colocado no coração de Judas Iscariotes, filho de Simão, para traí-lo,
And supper being come, the devil already having put [it] into the heart of Judas of Simon, Iscariot, that he may deliver him up,
3 Jesus, sabendo que o Pai tinha dado tudo em suas mãos, e que ele vinha de Deus e estava indo para Deus,
Jesus knowing that all things the Father hath given to him — into [his] hands, and that from God he came forth, and unto God he goeth,
4 arose do jantar, e colocou de lado suas vestes exteriores. Ele pegou uma toalha e enrolou uma toalha ao redor de sua cintura.
doth rise from the supper, and doth lay down his garments, and having taken a towel, he girded himself;
5 Então ele derramou água na bacia, e começou a lavar os pés dos discípulos e a limpá-los com a toalha que estava enrolada ao seu redor.
afterward he putteth water into the basin, and began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe with the towel with which he was being girded.
6 Depois ele veio a Simão Pedro. Ele lhe disse: “Senhor, você lava meus pés?”.
He cometh, therefore, unto Simon Peter, and that one saith to him, 'Sir, thou — dost thou wash my feet?'
7 Jesus lhe respondeu: “Você não sabe o que estou fazendo agora, mas entenderá mais tarde”.
Jesus answered and said to him, 'That which I do thou hast not known now, but thou shalt know after these things;'
8 Peter disse a ele: “Você nunca vai lavar meus pés”! Jesus respondeu-lhe: “Se eu não te lavar, não terás parte comigo”. (aiōn g165)
Peter saith to him, 'Thou mayest not wash my feet — to the age.' Jesus answered him, 'If I may not wash thee, thou hast no part with me;' (aiōn g165)
9 Simon Peter disse-lhe: “Senhor, não só meus pés, mas também minhas mãos e minha cabeça”!
Simon Peter saith to him, 'Sir, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.'
10 Jesus lhe disse: “Alguém que tomou banho só precisa de lavar os pés, mas está completamente limpo”. Vocês estão limpos, mas não todos vocês”.
Jesus saith to him, 'He who hath been bathed hath no need save to wash his feet, but he is clean altogether; and ye are clean, but not all;'
11 Pois ele conhecia aquele que o trairia; por isso ele disse: “Vocês não estão todos limpos”.
for he knew him who is delivering him up; because of this he said, 'Ye are not all clean.'
12 Então, quando ele lavou os pés, voltou a vestir sua roupa exterior e sentou-se novamente, disse-lhes: “Sabem o que eu fiz a vocês?
When, therefore, he washed their feet, and took his garments, having reclined (at meat) again, he said to them, 'Do ye know what I have done to you?
13 Você me chama de 'Professor' e 'Senhor'. Vocês o dizem corretamente, pois assim sou.
ye call me, The Teacher and The Lord, and ye say well, for I am;
14 Se eu então, o Senhor e o Mestre, vos lavei os pés, vocês também deveriam lavar os pés um do outro.
if then I did wash your feet — the Lord and the Teacher — ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 Pois eu lhes dei um exemplo, que vocês também deveriam fazer como eu fiz com vocês.
'For an example I gave to you, that, according as I did to you, ye also may do;
16 Certamente vos digo que um servo não é maior que seu senhor, nem aquele que é enviado é maior que aquele que o enviou.
verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him;
17 Se você sabe estas coisas, abençoado seja se você as fizer.
if these things ye have known, happy are ye, if ye may do them;
18 Eu não falo a respeito de todos vocês. Sei quem escolhi; mas para que se cumpra a Escritura: 'Aquele que come pão comigo levantou o calcanhar contra mim'.
not concerning you all do I speak; I have known whom I chose for myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with me, did lift up against me his heel.
19 De agora em diante, eu lhes digo antes que aconteça, que quando acontecer, vocês poderão acreditar que eu sou ele.
'From this time I tell you, before its coming to pass, that, when it may come to pass, ye may believe that I am [he];
20 Certamente eu lhes digo, aquele que recebe quem eu enviar, me recebe; e aquele que me recebe, recebe aquele que me enviou”.
verily, verily, I say to you, he who is receiving whomsoever I may send, doth receive me; and he who is receiving me, doth receive Him who sent me.'
21 Quando Jesus disse isto, ficou perturbado no espírito, e testemunhou: “Certamente eu vos digo que um de vós me trairá”.
These things having said, Jesus was troubled in the spirit, and did testify, and said, 'Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you will deliver me up;'
22 Os discípulos se olhavam, perplexos sobre quem ele falava.
the disciples were looking, therefore, one at another, doubting concerning whom he speaketh.
23 Um de seus discípulos, a quem Jesus amava, estava à mesa, encostado ao peito de Jesus.
And there was one of his disciples reclining (at meat) in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus was loving;
24 Simão Pedro, portanto, acenou para ele e disse-lhe: “Diz-nos de quem é que ele fala”.
Simon Peter, then, doth beckon to this one, to inquire who he may be concerning whom he speaketh,
25 Ele, inclinando-se para trás, como estava, sobre o peito de Jesus, perguntou-lhe: “Senhor, quem é?
and that one having leant back on the breast of Jesus, respondeth to him, 'Sir, who is it?'
26 Jesus, portanto, respondeu: “É a ele que eu darei este pedaço de pão quando o tiver mergulhado”. Então, quando ele mergulhou o pedaço de pão, deu-o a Judas, o filho de Simão Iscariotes.
Jesus answereth, 'That one it is to whom I, having dipped the morsel, shall give it;' and having dipped the morsel, he giveth [it] to Judas of Simon, Iscariot.
27 Após o pedaço de pão, então Satanás entrou nele. Então Jesus disse a ele: “O que você faz, faça rapidamente”.
And after the morsel, then the Adversary entered into that one, Jesus, therefore, saith to him, 'What thou dost — do quickly;'
28 Agora ninguém na mesa sabia porque ele lhe disse isto.
and none of those reclining at meat knew for what intent he said this to him,
29 Para algum pensamento, porque Judas tinha a caixa de dinheiro, que Jesus lhe disse: “Comprem as coisas que precisamos para a festa”, ou que ele deveria dar algo aos pobres.
for certain were thinking, since Judas had the bag, that Jesus saith to him, 'Buy what we have need of for the feast;' or that he may give something to the poor;
30 Portanto, tendo recebido aquele pedaço, ele saiu imediatamente. Era noite.
having received, therefore, the morsel, that one immediately went forth, and it was night.
31 Quando ele saiu, Jesus disse: “Agora o Filho do Homem foi glorificado, e Deus foi glorificado nele”.
When, therefore, he went forth, Jesus saith, 'Now was the Son of Man glorified, and God was glorified in him;
32 Se Deus foi glorificado nele, Deus também o glorificará em si mesmo, e ele o glorificará imediatamente”.
if God was glorified in him, God also will glorify him in Himself; yea, immediately He will glorify him.
33 Filhinhos, estarei com vocês por um pouco mais de tempo. Vocês me buscarão, e como eu disse aos judeus: “Para onde eu vou, vocês não podem vir”, então agora eu lhes digo.
'Little children, yet a little am I with you; ye will seek me, and, according as I said to the Jews — Whither I go away, ye are not able to come, to you also I do say [it] now.
34 Um novo mandamento que vos dou, que vos ameis uns aos outros. Assim como eu vos amei, vós também vos amais uns aos outros.
'A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; according as I did love you, that ye also love one another;
35 Por isto todos saberão que vocês são meus discípulos, se tiverem amor uns pelos outros”.
in this shall all know that ye are my disciples, if ye may have love one to another.'
36 Simon Peter disse a ele: “Senhor, aonde você vai?” Jesus respondeu: “Para onde eu vou, vocês não podem seguir agora, mas seguirão depois”.
Simon Peter saith to him, 'Sir, whither dost thou go away?' Jesus answered him, 'Whither I go away, thou art not able now to follow me, but afterward thou shalt follow me.'
37 Peter disse-lhe: “Senhor, por que não posso segui-lo agora? Eu darei minha vida por ti”.
Peter saith to him, 'Sir, wherefore am I not able to follow thee now? my life for thee I will lay down;'
38 Jesus respondeu-lhe: “Darias a tua vida por mim? Certamente eu lhe digo, o galo não cantará até que você me tenha negado três vezes.
Jesus answered him, 'Thy life for me thou wilt lay down! verily, verily, I say to thee, a cock will not crow till thou mayest deny me thrice.'
