2 Timóteo 3
1 Sabe, porém, isto, que nos ultimos dias sobrevirão tempos trabalhosos.
And know this, that in the last days there will come perilous times,
2 Porque haverá homens amantes de si mesmos, avarentos, presumpçosos, soberbos, blasphemos, desobedientes a paes e mães, ingratos, profanos,
for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, slanderous, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unkind,
3 Sem affecto natural, irreconciliaveis, calumniadores, incontinentes, crueis, sem amor para com os bons,
without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, without control, barbaric, not lovers of those who are good,
4 Traidores, temerarios, orgulhosos, mais amantes dos deleites do que amantes de Deus,
traitors, reckless, lofty, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,
5 Tendo apparencia de piedade, mas negando a efficacia d'ella. D'estes affasta-te.
having a form of piety, but having denied its power; and be turning away from these,
6 Porque d'este numero são os que entram pelas casas, e levam captivas mulherinhas carregadas de peccados, levadas de varias concupiscencias;
for of these there are those coming into the houses and leading captive the weak women, loaded with sins, led away with manifold desires,
7 Que sempre aprendem, e nunca podem chegar ao conhecimento da verdade.
always learning, and never able to come to a knowledge of truth,
8 E como Jannes e Jambres resistiram a Moysés, assim tambem estes resistem á verdade, homens corruptos de entendimento e reprobos emquanto á fé
and even as Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, so these also stand against the truth, men corrupted in mind, disapproved concerning the faith;
9 Porém não irão mais avante; porque a todos será manifesto o seu desvario, como tambem o foi o d'aquelles.
but they will not advance any further, for their folly will be evident to all, as theirs also became.
10 Tu, porém, tens seguido a minha doutrina, modo de viver, intenção, fé, longanimidade, caridade, paciencia,
And you have followed after my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, endurance,
11 Perseguições, afflicções, taes quaes me aconteceram em Antioquia, em Iconio, e em Lystra: quantas perseguições soffri, e o Senhor de todas me livrou;
the persecutions, the afflictions, that befell me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured! And the LORD delivered me out of all.
12 E tambem todos os que piamente querem viver em Christo Jesus padecerão perseguições.
And all who will to live piously in Christ Jesus will also be persecuted,
13 Porém os homens maus e enganadores irão de mal para peior, enganando e sendo enganados.
and evil men and impostors will advance to the worse, leading astray and being led astray.
14 Tu, porém, fica nas coisas que aprendeste, e de que foste inteirado, sabendo de quem as tens aprendido;
And you—remain in the things which you learned and were entrusted with, having known from whom you learned,
15 E que desde a tua meninice soubeste as sagradas lettras, as quaes podem fazer-te sabio para a salvação, pela fé que ha em Christo Jesus.
and because you have known the Holy Writings from infancy, which are able to make you wise—to salvation, through faith that [is] in Christ Jesus.
16 Toda a Escriptura divinamente inspirada é proveitosa para ensinar, para redarguir, para corrigir, para instruir em justiça;
Every Writing [is] God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction that [is] in righteousness,
17 Para que o homem de Deus seja perfeito e perfeitamente instruido para toda a boa obra.
that the man of God may be fitted—having been completed for every good work.
