1 Przewodnikowi chóru, na Nechylot. Psalm Dawida. Nakłoń ucha ku moim słowom, PANIE, zważ na moje westchnienie.
To the Chief Musician. For the Flutes. A Melody of David. To my words, give ear, O Yahweh, Understand thou my softly murmured prayer:
2 Słuchaj pilnie głosu mego wołania, mój Królu i mój Boże, bo się do ciebie modlę.
Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for, unto thee, do I pray.
3 PANIE, z rana usłyszysz mój głos, z rana zaniosę do ciebie [modlitwę] i będę czekał.
O Yahweh! in the morning, shalt thou hear my voice, In the morning, will I set in order unto thee, and keep watch;
4 Ty bowiem nie jesteś Bogiem, który miłuje nieprawość, zły z tobą nie zamieszka.
For, not a GOD finding pleasure in lawlessness, art thou, and wrong can be no guest of thine:
5 Głupcy nie ostoją się przed twymi oczyma. Nienawidzisz wszystkich czyniących nieprawość.
Boasters, shall not station themselves, before thine eyes, —Thou hatest all workers of iniquity:
6 Wytracisz tych, którzy mówią kłamstwa. PAN brzydzi się człowiekiem krwawym i podstępnym.
Thou wilt destroy them who speak falsehood, —The man of bloodshed and of deceit, Yahweh abhorreth.
7 Lecz ja dzięki obfitości twego miłosierdzia wejdę do twego domu, oddam pokłon przed twoim świętym przybytkiem w twojej bojaźni.
But, I, in the abounding of thy lovingkindness, will enter thy house, I will bow down towards thy holy temple, in reverence of thee:
8 Prowadź mnie, PANIE, w swojej sprawiedliwości ze względu na moich wrogów; wyprostuj przede mną twoją drogę.
O Yahweh! lead me in thy righteousness, because of mine adversaries, Make even, before me, thy way:
9 Bo w ich ustach nie ma szczerości, ich wnętrze pełne przewrotności, ich gardło jest grobem otwartym, swoim językiem pochlebiają.
For in his mouth is nothing worthy of trust, Their inward purpose, is engulphing ruin, —An opened sepulchre, is their throat, With their tongue, speak they smooth things.
10 Spustosz ich, Boże! Niech upadną przez własne zamiary. Z powodu ich licznych występków odtrąć ich, ponieważ buntują się przeciwko tobie.
Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall by their own counsels, —Into the throng of their own transgressions, thrust them down, For they have rebelled against thee: —
11 Lecz niech się radują wszyscy, którzy tobie ufają; niech zawsze wykrzykują [z radości], bo ty będziesz ich osłaniał. Niech rozradują się w tobie ci, którzy miłują twoje imię.
That all may rejoice who seek refuge in thee, to times age-abiding, may shout in triumph, that thou wilt protect them, and they may leap for joy in thee who are lovers of thy Name.
12 Ty bowiem, PANIE, będziesz błogosławił sprawiedliwego, osłonisz go dobrocią jak tarczą.
For, thou, wilt bless the righteous man, O Yahweh, As with an all-covering shield—with good pleasure, wilt thou encompass him.
