Psalmów 35
1 Psalm Dawida. Spieraj się, PANIE, z tymi, którzy się ze mną spierają; walcz z tymi, którzy walczą ze mną.
[A Psalm] of David. Strive, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me:
2 Chwyć tarczę i puklerz i powstań mi na pomoc.
Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help;
3 Dobądź włóczni i zagrodź drogę tym, którzy mnie prześladują. Powiedz mojej duszy: Ja [jestem] twoim zbawieniem.
And draw out the spear, and stop [the way] against my pursuers: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
4 Niech hańba i wstyd okryją tych, którzy czyhają na moją duszę; niech cofną się i niech będą zawstydzeni ci, którzy obmyślają zło przeciwko mnie.
Let them be put to shame and confounded that seek after my life; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that devise my hurt:
5 Niech będą jak plewy na wietrze i niech anioł PANA ich rozproszy.
Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of Jehovah drive [them] away;
6 Niech droga ich będzie ciemna i śliska i niech anioł PANA ich ściga.
Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of Jehovah pursue them.
7 Bez powodu bowiem zastawili na mnie w dole sieci, bez powodu wykopali [dół] na moją duszę.
For without cause have they hidden for me their net [in] a pit; without cause they have digged [it] for my soul.
8 Niech niespodziewanie przyjdzie na nich zniszczenie; niech złowi ich sieć, którą zastawili. Niech w nią wpadną ku zniszczeniu.
Let destruction come upon him unawares, and let his net which he hath hidden catch himself: for destruction let him fall therein.
9 A moja dusza będzie się radować w PANU, będzie się weselić jego zbawieniem.
And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it shall rejoice in his salvation.
10 Wszystkie moje kości powiedzą: PANIE, któż podobny do ciebie, który uwalniasz uciśnionego od silniejszego, a nędznego i ubogiego od łupieżcy?
All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, who deliverest the afflicted from one stronger than he, yea, the afflicted and the needy from him that spoileth him!
11 Powstają fałszywi świadkowie i pytają mnie o to, czego nie wiem.
Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they lay to my charge things which I know not.
12 Odpłacają mi złem za dobro, [chcąc] pozbawić mnie mojej duszy.
They reward me evil for good, [to] the bereavement of my soul.
13 Lecz ja, gdy oni chorowali, wkładałem wór [pokutny], umartwiałem postem moją duszę i moja modlitwa wracała do mojej piersi.
But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I chastened my soul with fasting, and my prayer returned into mine own bosom:
14 Postępowałem jak [z] przyjacielem, jak [z] bratem, uginałem się pod brzemieniem smutku jak w żałobie po matce.
I behaved myself as though [he had been] a friend, a brother to me; I bowed down in sadness, as one that mourneth [for] a mother.
15 Lecz gdy ja byłem strapiony, oni się cieszyli i zbierali się; gromadzili się przeciwko mnie nikczemni, a tego nie widziałem; szarpali mnie nieustannie.
But at my halting they rejoiced, and gathered together: the slanderers gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; they did tear [me], and ceased not:
16 Wraz z obłudnikami, szydercami i pochlebcami zgrzytali na mnie zębami.
With profane jesters for bread, they have gnashed their teeth against me.
17 Panie, jak długo będziesz na to patrzeć? Wybaw od zniszczenia moją duszę, od lwów drogą [duszę] moją.
Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my only one from the young lions.
18 Będę cię wysławiał w wielkim zgromadzeniu, wśród licznego ludu będę cię chwalił.
I will give thee thanks in the great congregation; I will praise thee among much people.
19 Niech się nie cieszą z mojego powodu ci, którzy bez przyczyny są moimi wrogami, niech nie mrugają okiem ci, którzy niesłusznie mnie nienawidzą.
Let not them that are wrongfully mine enemies rejoice over me; let them not wink with the eye that hate me without cause.
20 Nie mówią bowiem o pokoju, lecz przeciwko spokojnym na ziemi obmyślają zdradliwe słowa.
For they speak not peace; and they devise deceitful words against the quiet in the land.
21 Owszem, otwierają przeciw mnie swe usta, mówiąc: Ha, ha! Widzieliśmy [to] na własne oczy.
And they opened their mouth wide against me; they said, Aha! aha! our eye hath seen [it].
22 Widziałeś [to], PANIE, nie milcz; Panie, nie oddalaj się ode mnie.
Thou hast seen [it], Jehovah: keep not silence; O Lord, be not far from me.
23 Obudź się i wystąp w mojej obronie, w mojej sprawie, mój Boże i Panie!
Stir up thyself, and awake for my right, for my cause, my God and Lord!
24 Osądź mnie według swojej sprawiedliwości, PANIE, mój Boże! Niech się nie cieszą z mojego powodu.
Judge me, Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness, and let them not rejoice over me.
25 Niech nie mówią w swoim sercu: Ha! Tego chcieliśmy! Niech nie mówią: Pożarliśmy go!
Let them not say in their heart, Aha! so would we have it. Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
26 Niech się zawstydzą i zawiodą wszyscy, którzy cieszą się z mojego nieszczęścia; niech się okryją wstydem i hańbą ci, którzy wynoszą się nade mnie.
Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine adversity; let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
27 Ale niech śpiewają i radują się ci, którzy sprzyjają mojej słusznej sprawie; niech mówią nieustannie: Niech będzie wywyższony PAN, który pragnie pokoju dla swego sługi.
Let them exult and rejoice that delight in my righteousness; and let them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, who delighteth in the prosperity of his servant.
28 A mój język będzie głosił twoją sprawiedliwość [i] chwałę twoją przez cały dzień.
And my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness, [and] of thy praise, all the day.
