Psalmów 34
1 Psalm Dawida, gdy zmienił swoje zachowanie przed Abimelekiem i wypędzony przez niego, odszedł. Będę błogosławił PANA w każdym czasie, jego chwała zawsze [będzie] na moich ustach.
[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 Moja dusza będzie się chlubić PANEM; pokorni [to] usłyszą i rozradują się.
My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.
3 Uwielbiajcie PANA ze mną i wspólnie wywyższajmy jego imię.
Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 Szukałem PANA, a on mnie wysłuchał i uwolnił od wszystkich mych trwóg.
I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Spojrzeli na niego i rozpromienili się, a ich oblicza nie doznały wstydu.
They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.
6 Ten oto biedak wołał, a PAN wysłuchał i wybawił go ze wszystkich jego utrapień.
This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 Anioł PANA rozbija obóz dokoła tych, którzy się go boją, i wybawia ich.
The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 Skosztujcie i zobaczcie, jak dobry jest PAN: Błogosławiony człowiek, który mu ufa.
Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!
9 Bójcie się PANA, jego święci, bo niczego nie braknie tym, którzy się go boją.
Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 Lwięta cierpią niedostatek i głód, lecz szukającym PANA nie zabraknie żadnego dobra.
The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.
11 Chodźcie, synowie, słuchajcie mnie; nauczę was bojaźni PANA.
Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
12 Który człowiek chce [długo] żyć i pragnie [wiele] dni, aby móc oglądać dobro?
What man is he that desireth life, [and] loveth days, that he may see good?
13 Strzeż swego języka od zła, a swoich warg od podstępnej mowy.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;
14 Odwróć się od zła i czyń dobrze, szukaj pokoju i dąż do niego.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Oczy PANA [są zwrócone] na sprawiedliwych, a jego uszy [nachylone] na ich wołanie;
The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;
16 [Lecz] oblicze PANA [jest] przeciwko złoczyńcom, aby pamięć o nich wymazać z ziemi.
The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth:
17 Wołają [sprawiedliwi], a PAN wysłuchuje ich i uwalnia od wszelkich trudności.
[The righteous] cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 Bliski [jest] PAN skruszonym w sercu i wybawia złamanych na duchu.
Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
19 Liczne [są] cierpienia sprawiedliwego, ale PAN uwalnia go od nich wszystkich.
Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all:
20 On strzeże wszystkich jego kości; ani jedna z nich nie będzie złamana.
He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.
21 Zło zabija niegodziwego i ci, którzy nienawidzą sprawiedliwego, będą zniszczeni;
Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt.
22 PAN odkupi dusze swoich sług i nie będą zniszczeni ci, którzy mu ufają.
Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.
