1 A [oto] podział synów Aarona. Synami Aarona [byli]: Nedab, Abihu, Eleazar i Itamar;
These were the divisions of the descendants of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 Ale Nadab i Abihu umarli przed swoim ojcem i nie mieli synów, dlatego Eleazar i Itamar sprawowali urząd kapłański.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.
3 I Dawid podzielił ich, [to jest] Sadoka z synów Eleazara i Achimeleka z synów Itamara, według ich urzędu w ich służbie.
With the help of Eleazar’s descendant Zadok and Ithamar’s descendant Ahimelech, David divided them according to the offices of their service.
4 I okazało się, że spośród synów Eleazara było więcej naczelników niż spośród synów Itamara. Tak więc ich podzielono: spośród synów Eleazara [było] szesnastu naczelników według rodów, a spośród synów Itamara według rodów – ośmiu.
Since more leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than those of Ithamar, they were divided accordingly. There were sixteen heads of families from the descendants of Eleazar and eight from the descendants of Ithamar.
5 A zostali podzieleni przez losowanie, zarówno jedni, jak i drudzy, gdyż przełożeni świątyni i przełożeni domu Bożego byli spośród synów Eleazara, jak i spośród synów Itamara.
Thus they were divided by lot, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God among both Eleazar’s and Ithamar’s descendants.
6 A Szemajasz, syn Netaneela, pisarz z [pokolenia] Lewiego, spisał ich wobec króla i książąt, kapłana Sadok, Achimeleka, syna Abiatara, oraz naczelników rodów kapłańskich i lewickich. Losowano [na przemian] jeden dom z rodu Eleazara, drugi – z Itamara.
The scribe, Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officers: Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the heads of families of the priests and the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar, and then one from Ithamar.
7 Pierwszy los padł na Jehojariba, drugi na Jedajasza;
The first lot fell to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8 Trzeci na Charima, czwarty na Seorima;
the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9 Piąty na Malkiasza, szósty na Mijamina;
the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10 Siódmy na Hakkosa, ósmy na Abiasza;
the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
11 Dziewiąty na Jeszuę, dziesiąty na Szekaniasza;
the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 Jedenasty na Eliasziba, dwunasty na Jakima;
the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13 Trzynasty na Chuppę, czternasty na Jeszebaba;
the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 Piętnasty na Bilgę, szesnasty na Immera;
the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15 Siedemnasty na Chezira, osiemnasty na Happisesa;
the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 Dziewiętnasty na Petachiasza, dwudziesty na Ezechiela;
the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 Dwudziesty pierwszy na Jachina, dwudziesty drugi na Gamula;
the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 Dwudziesty trzeci na Delajasza, dwudziesty czwarty na Maazjasza.
the twenty-third to Delaiah, and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 Taka [była] kolejność w służbie, aby wchodzili do domu PANA zgodnie z ustaleniem, jakie pochodziło od ich ojca Aarona, jak mu rozkazał PAN, Bóg Izraela.
This was their appointed order for service when they entered the house of the LORD, according to the regulations prescribed for them by their forefather Aaron, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
20 A pozostali z synów Lewiego to: z synów Amrama – Szubael; z synów Szubaela – Jechdejasz.
Now these were the remaining descendants of Levi: From the sons of Amram: Shubael; from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.
21 Z Rechabiasza: z synów Rechabiasza pierwszym [był] Jisziasz.
As for Rehabiah, from his sons: The first was Isshiah.
22 Z Ishara – Szelomit; z synów Szelomita – Jachat.
From the Izharites: Shelomoth; from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.
23 A synowie Chebrona: pierwszy Jeriasz, drugi Amariasz, trzeci Jachaziel, czwarty Jekameam.
From the sons of Hebron: Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
24 Synowie Uzziela: Mika; z synów Miki – Szamir.
From the sons of Uzziel: Micah; from the sons of Micah: Shamir.
25 Brat Miki: Jisziasz; z synów Jisziasza – Zachariasz.
The brother of Micah: Isshiah; from the sons of Isshiah: Zechariah.
26 Synowie Merariego: Machli i Muszi; synowie Jaazjasza: Beno.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
27 Synowie Merariego z Jaazjasza: Beno, Szoham, Zakkur i Ibri.
The descendants of Merari from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
28 Z Machliego: Eleazar, który nie miał synów.
From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 Z Kisza, synowie Kisza: Jerachmeel.
From Kish: Jerahmeel the son of Kish.
30 A synowie Musziego: Machli, Eder i Jerimot. Ci [byli] synami Lewitów według ich rodów.
And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites, according to their families.
31 Oni również rzucali losy tak samo jak ich bracia, synowie Aarona, przed królem Dawidem, Sadokiem, Achimelekiem oraz naczelnikami rodów kapłańskich i lewickich – naczelnicy rodów na równi z młodszymi ich braćmi.
As their brothers the descendants of Aaron did, they also cast lots in the presence of King David and of Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the families of the priests and Levites—the family heads and their younger brothers alike.
