1 A potem chodził Jezus po Galilei; bo się nie chciał bawić w ziemi Judzkiej, przeto że Żydowie szukali, aby go zabili.
After that Iesus wet about in Galile and wolde not go about in Iewry for the Iewes sought to kill him.
2 I było blisko święto żydowskie kuczek.
The Iewes tabernacle feast was at honde.
3 Tedy rzekli do niego bracia jego: Odejdź stąd, a idź do Judzkiej ziemi, żeby uczniowie twoi widzieli sprawy twoje, które czynisz.
His brethren therfore sayde vnto him: get ye hence and go into Iewry yt thy disciples maye se thy workes yt thou doest.
4 Albowiem żaden nic w skrytości nie czyni, kto chce być widziany; przetoż ty, jeźli takie rzeczy czynisz, objaw się światu.
For ther is no man yt doeth eny thing secretly and he him selfe seketh to be knowen. Yf thou do soche thinges shewe thy selfe to the worlde.
5 Bo i bracia jego nie wierzyli weń.
For as yet his brethre beleved not in him.
6 I rzekł im Jezus: Czas mój jeszcze nie przyszedł; ale czas wasz zawsze jest w pogotowiu.
Then Iesus sayd vnto them: My tyme is not yet come youre tyme is all waye redy.
7 Nie możeć was świat nienawidzieć, ale mnie nienawidzi; bo ja świadczę o nim, iż sprawy jego złe są.
The worlde canot hate you. Me it hateth: because I testify of it that the workes of it are evyll.
8 Idźcież wy na to święto, jać jeszcze nie pójdę na to święto; bo mój czas jeszcze się nie wypełnił.
Go ye vp vnto this feast. I will not go vp yet vnto this feast for my tyme is not yet full come.
9 A to im powiedziawszy, został w Galilei.
These wordes he sayde vnto them and abode still in Galile.
10 A gdy poszli bracia jego, tedy i on szedł na święto, nie jawnie, ale jakoby potajemnie.
But assone as his brethren were goone vp then went he also vp vnto the feast: not openly but as it were prevely.
11 A Żydowie szukali go w święto i mówili: Gdzież on jest?
Then sought him the Iewes at ye feast and sayde: Where is he?
12 I było o nim wielkie szemranie między ludem; bo jedni mówili: Że jest dobry; a drudzy mówili: Nie, ale zwodzi lud.
And moche murmurynge was ther of him amonge the people. Some sayde: He is good. Wother sayde naye but he deceaveth the people.
13 Wszakże o nim żaden jawnie nie mówił, dla bojaźni żydowskiej.
How be it no ma spake openly of him for feare of the Iewes
14 A gdy już było w pół święta, wstąpił Jezus do kościoła i uczył.
In ye middes of the feast Iesus went vp into the temple and taught.
15 I dziwowali się Żydowie, mówiąc: Jakoż ten umie Pismo, gdyż się nie uczył?
And the Iewes marveylled sayinge: How knoweth he ye scriptures seynge yt he never learned?
16 Odpowiedział im Jezus i rzekł: Nauka moja nie jestci moja, ale tego, który mię posłał.
Iesus answered them and sayde: My doctrine is not myne: but his that sent me.
17 Jeźliby kto chciał czynić wolę jego, ten będzie umiał rozeznać, jeźli ta nauka jest z Boga, czyli ja sam od siebie mówię.
If eny man will do his will he shall knowe of the doctrine whether it be of God or whether I speake of my selfe.
18 Ktoć z samego siebie mówi, chwały własnej szuka; ale kto szuka chwały tego, który go posłał, ten jest prawdziwy, a nie masz w nim niesprawiedliwości.
He that speaketh of him selfe seketh his awne prayse. But he that seketh his prayse that sent him the same is true and no vnrightewesnes is in him.
19 Izali wam Mojżesz nie dał zakonu? a żaden z was nie przestrzega zakonu. Przeczże szukacie, abyście mię zabili?
Dyd not Moses geve you a lawe and yet none of you kepeth ye lawe? Why goo ye aboute to kyll me?
20 Odpowiedział lud i rzekł: Dyjabelstwo masz; któż cię szuka zabić?
The people answered and sayde: thou hast the devyll: who goeth aboute to kyll the?
21 Odpowiedział Jezus i rzekł im: Jedenem uczynek uczynił, a wszyscy się temu dziwujecie!
Iesus answered and sayde to them: I have done one worke and ye all marvayle.
22 Wszak Mojżesz wydał wam obrzezkę, (nie iżby była z Mojżesza, ale z ojców), a w sabat obrzezujecie człowieka.
Moses therfore gave vnto you circumcision: not because it is of Moses but of the fathers. And yet ye on the Saboth daye circumcise a man.
23 Ponieważ człowiek przyjmuje obrzezkę w sabat, aby nie był zgwałcony zakon Mojżeszowy, przecz się na mię gniewacie, żem całego człowieka uzdrowił w sabat?
If a man on the Saboth daye receave circumcision without breakinge of the lawe of Moses: disdayne ye at me because I have made a man every whit whoale on the saboth daye?
24 Nie sądźcie według widzenia, ale sprawiedliwy sąd sądźcie.
Iudge not after the vtter aperaunce: but iudge rightewes iudgement.
25 Mówili tedy niektórzy z Jeruzalemczyków: Izali to nie jest ten, którego szukają zabić?
Then sayd some of them of Ierusalem: Is not this he who they goo aboute to kyll?
26 A oto jawnie mówi, a nic mu nie mówią. Izali prawdziwie poznali książęta, iż ten jest prawdziwie Chrystus?
Beholde he speaketh boldly and they saye nothinge to him. Do the rulars knowe in dede that this is very Christ?
27 Ale o tym wiemy, skąd jest: ale gdy Chrystus przyjdzie, nikt nie będzie wiedział, skąd by był.
How be it we knowe this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh no man shall knowe whence he is.
28 Wołał tedy Jezus w kościele ucząc a mówiąc: I mnie znacie, i skądem jest, wiecie; a nie przyszedłem sam od siebie, ale jest prawdziwy, który mię posłał, którego wy nie znacie.
Then cryed Iesus in ye temple as he taught sayinge: ye knowe me and whence I am ye knowe. And yet I am not come of my selfe but he yt sent me is true whom ye knowe not.
29 Lecz go ja znam; bom od niego jest, a on mię posłał.
I knowe him: for I am of him and he hath sent me.
30 I szukali, jakoby go pojmać; ale żaden nie ściągnął nań ręki; bo jeszcze nie przyszła godzina jego.
Then they sought to take him: but no ma layde hondes on him because his tyme was not yet come.
31 A wiele ich z ludu uwierzyli weń i mówili: Chrystus gdy przyjdzie, izaż więcej cudów uczyni nad te, które ten uczynił?
Many of the people beleved on him and sayde: when Christ cometh will he do moo miracles then this man hath done?
32 A słyszeli Faryzeuszowie, iż to lud o nim szemrał; i posłali Faryzeuszowie i przedniejsi kapłani sługi, aby go pojmali.
The pharises hearde that the people murmured suche thinges about him. Wherfore ye pharises and hye prestes sent ministres forthe to take him.
33 Rzekł im tedy Jezus: Jeszcze na mały czas jestem z wami; potem odejdę do tego, który mię posłał.
Then sayde Iesus vnto the: Yet am I a lytell whyle with you and then goo I vnto him that sent me.
34 Szukać mię będziecie, ale nie znajdziecie; a gdzie ja będę, wy przyjść nie możecie.
Ye shall seke me and shall not fynde me: and where I am thyther can ye not come.
35 Mówili tedy Żydowie między sobą: Dokądże ten pójdzie, że my go nie znajdziemy? czyli do rozproszonych poganów pójdzie i będzie uczył pogany?
Then sayde the Iewes bitwene the selves: whyther will he goo that we shall not fynde him? Will he goo amonge the gentyls which are scattered all a broade and teache the gentyls?
36 Cóż to za mowa, którą wyrzekł: Szukać mię będziecie, ale nie znajdziecie, i gdzie ja będę, wy przyjść nie możecie?
What maner of sayinge is this that he sayde: ye shall seke me and shall not fynde me: and where I am thyther can ye not come?
37 A w on ostateczny dzień wielki święta onego stanął Jezus i wołał mówiąc: Jeźli kto pragnie, niech do mnie przyjdzie, a pije.
In the last daye that great daye of the feaste Iesus stode and cryed sayinge: If eny man thyrst let him come vnto me and drinke.
38 Kto wierzy w mię, jako mówi Pismo, rzeki wody żywej popłyną z żywota jego.
He that beleveth on me as sayeth the scripture out of his belly shall flowe ryvers of water of lyfe.
39 (A to mówił o Duchu, którego wziąć mieli wierzący weń; albowiem jeszcze nie był dany Duch Święty, przeto że jeszcze Jezus nie był uwielbiony.)
This spak he of the sprete which they that beleved on him shuld receave. For the holy goost was not yet there because that Iesus was not yet glorifyed.
40 Wiele ich tedy z owego ludu słysząc te słowa, mówili: Tenci jest prawdziwie on prorok.
Many of the people when they hearde this sayinge sayd: of a truth this is a prophet
41 A drudzy mówili: Ten jest Chrystus; ale niektórzy mówili: Azaż z Galilei przyjdzie Chrystus?
Other sayde: this is Christ. Some sayde: shall Christ come out of Galile?
42 Azaż nie mówi Pismo, iż z nasienia Dawidowego i z Betlehemu miasteczka, gdzie był Dawid, przyjdzie Chrystus?
Sayeth not the scripture that Christ shall come of the seed of David: and out of the toune of Bethleem where David was?
43 A tak stało się rozerwanie dla niego między ludem.
So was ther dissencion amonge the people aboute him.
44 I chcieli go niektórzy z nich pojmać; ale żaden nie ściągnął nań rąk swoich.
And some of them wolde have taken him: but no man layed hondes on him.
45 Przyszli tedy słudzy do przedniejszych kapłanów i do Faryzeuszów; którzy im rzekli: Przeczżeście go nie przywiedli?
Then came ye ministres to ye hye prestes and pharises. And they sayde vnto the: why have ye not brought him?
46 Odpowiedzieli oni słudzy: Nigdy tak nie mówił człowiek jako ten człowiek.
The servautes answered never man spake as this man doeth.
47 I odpowiedzieli im Faryzeuszowie: Alboście i wy zwiedzeni?
Then answered the the pharises: are ye also disceaved?
48 Izali kto uwierzył weń z książąt albo z Faryzeuszów?
Doth eny of the rulers or of the pharises beleve on him?
49 Tylko ten gmin, który nie zna zakonu; przeklęci są.
But the comen people whiche knowe not ye lawe are cursed.
50 I rzekł do nich Nikodem, który był przyszedł w nocy do niego, będąc jeden z nich:
Nicodemus sayde vnto them: He that came to Iesus by nyght and was one of them.
51 Izali zakon nasz sądzi człowieka, jeźliby pierwej nie słyszał od niego i nie poznałby, co czyni?
Doth oure lawe iudge eny man before it heare him and knowe what he hath done?
52 A oni mu odpowiedzieli i rzekli: Izaliś i ty Galilejczyk? Badajże się, a obacz, żeć prorok z Galilei nie powstał.
They answered and sayde vnto him: arte thou also of Galile? Searche and loke for out of Galile aryseth no Prophet.
53 I poszedł każdy do domu swego.
And every man went vnto his awne housse.
