مزامیر 87

1 مزمور پسران قورح. سرود. اورشلیم بر کوههای مقدّس بنا شده است.

A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.

2 خداوند آن را بیش از سایر شهرهای اسرائیل دوست دارد.

The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 ای شهر خدا، چه سخنان پرشکوه دربارهٔ تو گفته می‌شود.

Glorious things are spoken of Thee, O city of God. (Selah)

4 رَهَب و بابِل را جزو کسانی که مرا می‌شناسند خواهم شمرد، همچنین فلسطین و صور و حبشه را. همۀ آنها شهروندان اورشلیم خواهند شد!

'I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know Me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there.'

5 دربارهٔ اورشلیم خواهند گفت که تمام قومهای دنیا به آن تعلق دارند و اینکه خدای قادر متعال اورشلیم را قوی خواهد ساخت.

But of Zion it shall be said: 'This man and that was born in her; and the Most High Himself doth establish her.'

6 هنگامی که خداوند اسامی قومها را ثبت نماید، همهٔ آنها را به اورشلیم نسبت خواهد داد.

The LORD shall count in the register of the peoples: 'This one was born there.' (Selah)

7 آن قومها سرودخوانان و رقص‌کنان خواهند گفت: «اورشلیم سرچشمهٔ همهٔ برکات و خوشیهای ماست!»

And whether they sing or dance, all my thoughts are in Thee.
