1 Waaqayyoof galata galchaa; inni gaariidhaatii.
Thank Yahweh, because he does good things [for us]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
2 Waaqa waaqotaatiif galata galchaa.
Thank God, the one who is greater than all other gods; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
3 Gooftaa Gooftotaatiif galata galchaa:
Thank the Lord who is greater than all other lords/rulers; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
4 inni kophaa isaa dinqii gurguddaa hojjeta;
He is the only one who performs great miracles; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
5 inni ogummaa isaatiin samiiwwan uume;
He is the one who by being very wise created the heavens; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
6 inni bishaanota irratti lafa diriirse;
He is the one who caused the ground to rise up above the deep waters; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
7 inni ifa gurguddaa hojjete;
He is the one who created great lights [in the sky]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
8 inni akka biiftuun guyyaa mootu godhe;
He created the sun to shine in the daytime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
9 inni akka jiʼii fi urjiiwwan halkan moʼan godhe;
He created the moon and stars to shine during the nighttime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
10 inni hangafa Gibxi dhaʼe;
He is the one who killed the firstborn [males] in Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
11 inni isaan gidduudhaa Israaʼelin baase;
He led the Israeli people out of Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
12 harka jabaa fi irree diriiraadhaan Israaʼelin baase;
With his (strong hand/great power) he led them out; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
13 inni Galaana Diimaa iddoo lamatti gargarii qoode;
He is the one who caused the Red Sea to divide; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
14 inni galaana gidduudhaan Israaʼelin dabarse;
He enabled the Israeli people to walk through it [on dry land]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
15 Faraʼoonii fi loltoota isaa garuu Galaana Diimaatti naqe;
But he caused the king of Egypt and his army to drown in it; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
16 inni saba ofii isaa gammoojjii keessa geggeesse;
He is the one who led his people [safely through the desert]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
17 inni mootota gurguddaa dhaʼe;
He killed powerful kings; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
18 inni mootota jajjaboo fixe;
He killed kings who were famous; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
19 inni Sihoon mootii Amoorotaa ajjeese;
He killed Sihon, the king of the Amor people-group; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
20 inni Oogi mootii Baashaan ajjeese;
He killed Og, the king of Bashan [region]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
21 inni biyya isaanii dhaala godhee kenne;
He gave their lands to us, his people; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
22 dhaala godhee garbicha isaa Israaʼeliif kenne;
He gave those lands to us people of Israel, who serve him; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
23 Inni yeroo nu gad deebinetti nu yaadate;
He is the one who did not forget about us when we were defeated [by our enemies]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
24 inni harka diinota keenyaatii nu baase,
He rescued us from our enemies; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
25 inni uumama hundaaf soora kenna;
He is the one who gives food to all living creatures; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
26 Waaqa samiitiif galata galchaa.
[So] thank God, [who lives in] heaven, [for all those things], because his faithful love [for us] endures forever!
