1 Ani Waaqayyoon nan jaalladha; inni sagalee waammata kootii naa dhagaʼeeraatii.

I love Jehovah, for he hath heard my voice [and] my supplications;

2 Sababii inni gurra isaa gara kootti deebiseef, ani hamman lubbuun jiraadhutti isa nan waammadha.

For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and I will call upon him during [all] my days.

3 Kiyyoon duʼaa na marse; dhiphinni Siiʼoolis na qabate; ani rakkinaa fi gaddaan nan moʼame. (Sheol h7585)

The bands of death encompassed me, and the anguish of Sheol took hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)

4 Anis, “Yaa Waaqayyo na oolchi!” jedhee maqaa Waaqayyoo nan waammadhe.

Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: I beseech thee, Jehovah, deliver my soul.

5 Waaqayyo arjaa fi qajeelaa dha; Waaqni keenya gara laaffessa.

Gracious is Jehovah and righteous; and our God is merciful.

6 Waaqayyo garraamota ni eega; yeroo ani baayʼee rakkadhetti isatu na gargaare.

Jehovah keepeth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.

7 Yaa lubbuu ko, boqonnaa keetti deebiʼi; Waaqayyo waan gaarii siif godheeraatii.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 Ati yaa Waaqayyo lubbuu koo duʼa irraa, ija koo imimmaan irraa, miilla koo gufachuu irraa waan oolchiteef,

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, my feet from falling.

9 ani biyya warra jiraatoo keessa, fuula Waaqayyoo dura nan jiraadha.

I will walk before Jehovah in the land of the living.

10 Ani yeroo, “Ani baayʼee dhiphadheera” jedhetti, amantii koo eeggadheera.

I believed, therefore have I spoken. As for me, I was greatly afflicted.

11 Ani yommuun burjaajaʼetti, “Namni hundinuu sobduu dha” nan jedhe.

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 Waan gaarii inni naa godhe hundaaf, ani Waaqayyoof maalan deebisa?

What shall I render unto Jehovah, [for] all his benefits toward me?

13 Ani xoofoo fayyinaa ol kaasee maqaa Waaqayyoo nan waammadha.

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Jehovah.

14 Fuula saba isaa hundumaa duratti, ani wareega koo Waaqayyoof nan galcha.

I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people.

15 Duuti qulqulloota isaa, fuula Waaqayyoo duratti ulfina qaba.

Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of his saints.

16 Yaa Waaqayyo, ani dhugumaan tajaajilaa kee ti; ani tajaajilaa kee ilma tajaajiltuu keetii ti; ati foncaa koo narraa hiikteerta.

Yea, Jehovah! for I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

17 Ani aarsaa galataa siif nan dhiʼeessa; maqaa Waaqayyoos nan waammadha.

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Jehovah.

18 Iddoo sabni isaa hundi jirutti, ani wareega koo Waaqayyoof nan galcha;

I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people,

19 yaa Yerusaalem si keessatti, oobdii mana Waaqayyoo irrattis nan galcha. Haalleluuyaa.

In the courts of Jehovah's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
