ଆୟୁବ 9
1 ଏଥିରେ ଆୟୁବ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା,
Then responded Job, and said—
2 “ଏହା ସତ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ମୁଁ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଜାଣେ; ମାତ୍ର କିପରି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ହୋଇପାରେ?
Of a truth, I know that so it is, But how can a mortal be just with GOD?
3 ସେ ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗେ ବାଦାନୁବାଦ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସହସ୍ର କଥା ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଗୋଟିକର ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
If he choose to contend with him, he cannot answer him, one of a thousand:
4 ସେ ମନରେ ଜ୍ଞାନବାନ ଓ ବଳରେ ପରାକ୍ରାନ୍ତ; କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରବଳ କରି ମଙ୍ଗଳ ପାଇଅଛି?
Wise in heart, and alert in vigour, What man hath hardened himself against him, and prospered!
5 ସେ ପର୍ବତଗଣକୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରନ୍ତି, ସେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓଲଟାଇ ପକାଇବା ବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ତାହା ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
Who removeth mountains, unawares, Who overturneth them in his anger;
6 ସେ ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ସ୍ୱ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ହଲାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତି ଓ ତହିଁର ସ୍ତମ୍ଭମାନ ଟଳଟଳ ହୁଏ।
Who shaketh the earth, out of its place, and, the pillars thereof, shudder;
7 ସେ ବାରଣ କଲେ, ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଉଦିତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ ଓ ସେ ତାରାଗଣକୁ ବନ୍ଦ କରି ମୁଦ୍ରାଙ୍କିତ କରନ୍ତି।
Who commandeth the sun, and it breaketh not forth, and, about the stars, he putteth a seal;
8 ସେ ଏକାକୀ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ପ୍ରସାରନ୍ତି ଓ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ତରଙ୍ଗ ଉପରେ ଗମନ କରନ୍ତି।
Who spreadeth out fire heavens, by himself alone! and marcheth along, on the heights of the sea;
9 ସେ ସପ୍ତର୍ଷି, ମୃଗଶୀର୍ଷ ଓ କୃତ୍ତିକା ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣସ୍ଥ ମଣ୍ଡଳ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରନ୍ତି।
Who made the Bear, the Giant and the Cluster, and the chambers of the south;
10 ସେ ଅନୁଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ମହାକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଓ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରିୟା କରନ୍ତି।
Who doeth great things, past finding out, and marvels, beyond number.
11 ଦେଖ, ସେ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଗମନ କରନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖେ ନାହିଁ; ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ଚାଲିଗଲେ, ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନେ ନାହିଁ।
Lo! he cometh upon me, yet can I not see him, Yea he passeth on, yet can I not discern him.
12 ଦେଖ, ସେ ଶିକାର ଧରିଲେ, କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ନିବାରଣ କରିପାରେ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ କରୁଅଛ, ଏହା କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିବ?
Lo! he snatcheth away, who can bring it back? Who shall say unto him, What wouldst thou do?
13 ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାହାର କରିବେ ନାହିଁ; ରାହବର ସହାୟଗଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଦ ତଳେ ନତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
As for GOD, if he withdraw not his anger, under him, will have submitted themselves—the proud helpers.
14 ତେବେ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କେତେ ଅଳ୍ପ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବି? ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯୁକ୍ତି କରିବାକୁ ଆପଣା କଥା ବାଛିବି?
How much less that, I, should answer him, should choose my words with him?
15 ମୁଁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ବିପକ୍ଷ ନିକଟରେ ବିନତି କରନ୍ତି।
Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, to be absolved, I would make supplication.
16 ଯଦି ମୁଁ ଡାକିଥାʼନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ମୋତେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇଥାʼନ୍ତେ, ତେବେ ହେଁ ସେ ମୋʼ ରବରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କଲେ ବୋଲି ମୁଁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
Though I had called, and he had answered me, I could not believe, that he would lend an ear to my voice.
17 କାରଣ ସେ ବତାସରେ ମୋତେ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାନ୍ତି ଓ ଅକାରଣରେ ମୋହର କ୍ଷତ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରନ୍ତି।
For, with a tempest, would he fall upon me, and would multiply my wounds without need;
18 ସେ ମୋତେ ନିଶ୍ୱାସ ମାରିବାକୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ମୋତେ ତିକ୍ତତାରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରନ୍ତି।
He would not suffer me to recover my breath, for he would surfeit me with bitter things.
19 ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିକ୍ରମୀର ବଳର କଥା କହିଲେ, ଦେଖ, ସେ ଅଛନ୍ତି! ଓ ବିଚାରର କଥା କହିଲେ, କିଏ ମୋʼ ପାଇଁ ସମୟ ନିରୂପଣ କରିବ?
If it regardeth vigour, bold is he! If justice, who could summon him?
20 ମୁଁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ମୋର ନିଜ ମୁଖ ମୋତେ ଦୋଷୀ କରିବ। ମୁଁ ସିଦ୍ଧ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ମୋତେ କୁଟିଳ ବୋଲି ତାହା ପ୍ରମାଣ କରିବ।
If I should justify myself, mine own mouth, would condemn me, —I blameless? then had it shewn me perverse.
21 ମୁଁ ସିଦ୍ଧ, ମୁଁ ଆପଣାକୁ ମାନ୍ୟ କରେ ନାହିଁ; ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଜୀବନକୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରେ।
I blameless? I should not know my own soul, I should despise my own life!
22 ସବୁ ତ ସମାନ; ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ କହେ, ସେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟକୁ ସଂହାର କରନ୍ତି।
One thing, there is, for which cause, I have said it, The blameless and the lawless, he bringeth to an end.
23 ଯଦି କୋରଡ଼ା ହଠାତ୍ ମାରି ପକାଏ, ସେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷର ପରୀକ୍ଷାରେ ହସିବେ।
If, a scourge, slay suddenly, at the despair of innocent ones, he mocketh.
24 ପୃଥିବୀ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ସେ ତହିଁର ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତୃଗଣର ମୁଖ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରନ୍ତି; ଯଦି ସେ ନ କରନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ଆଉ କିଏ?
The earth, hath been given into the hand of a lawless one, The faces of her judges, he covereth, If not, then who is it?
25 ମୋହର ଦିନସବୁ ଡାକ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଶୀଘ୍ରଗାମୀ; ତାହାସବୁ ପଳାଇଯାଏ, କୌଣସି ମଙ୍ଗଳର ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଏ ନାହିଁ।
My days, therefore, are swifter than a runner, They have fled, they have seen no good.
26 ତାହାସବୁ ବେଗଗାମୀ ଜାହାଜ ପରି ଓ ଶିକାର ଉପରେ ଝାମ୍ପ ମାରିବା ଉତ୍କ୍ରୋଶ ପକ୍ଷୀ ପରି ଚାଲିଯାଏ।
They have passed away with boats of paper-reed, like a vulture [which] rusheth upon food.
27 ଯଦି ମୁଁ କହେ, ‘ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ବିଳାପ ଭୁଲିଯିବି, ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ବିଷଣ୍ଣ ମୁଖ ଦୂର କରି ହୃଷ୍ଟଚିତ୍ତ ହେବି;’
If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will lay aside my sad countenance, and brighten up,
28 ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ସକଳ ଦୁଃଖ ବିଷୟରେ ଭୀତ ହୁଏ, ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ଜ୍ଞାନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
I am afraid of all my pains, I know, that thou wilt not pronounce me innocent.
29 ମୁଁ ଦୋଷୀକୃତ ହେବି; ତେବେ ମୁଁ କାହିଁକି ବୃଥା ପରିଶ୍ରମ କରୁଅଛି?
I, shall be held guilty, —Wherefore then, in vain, should I toil?
30 ଯଦି ମୁଁ ହିମଜଳରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଧୌତ କରେ ଓ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଅତିଶୟ ପରିଷ୍କାର କରେ,
Though I bathe myself in snow water, and cleanse, in cleanness itself, my hands,
31 ତେବେ ହେଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଗର୍ତ୍ତରେ ମଗ୍ନ କରିବ ଓ ମୋହର ନିଜ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ମୋତେ ଘୃଣା କରିବ।
Then, in a ditch, wouldst thou plunge me, and mine own clothes should abhor me:
32 କାରଣ ସେ ମୋʼ ପରି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ନୁହନ୍ତି ଯେ, ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବି ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ବିଚାର ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆସିବା।
For he is not a man like myself, whom I might answer, nor could we come together into judgment:
33 ଆମ୍ଭ ଦୁହିଁଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହସ୍ତାର୍ପଣ କରିବାକୁ ସମର୍ଥ କୌଣସି ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନାହିଁ।
There is not, between us, a mediator, who might lay his hand upon us both.
34 ସେ ମୋʼ ଠାରୁ ଆପଣା ଯଷ୍ଟି ଦୂର କରନ୍ତୁ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭୟଙ୍କରତା ମୋତେ ଭୀତ ନ କରୁ;
Let him take from off me his rod, and, his terror, let it not startle me:
35 ତେବେ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ ନ କରି କଥା କହିବି; କାରଣ ମୁଁ ନିଜେ ସେହିପରି ନୁହେଁ।
I could speak, and not be afraid of him, although, not so, am, I, in myself!
