भजनसंग्रह 106

1 परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा गर । परमप्रभुलाई धन्यवाद देओ, किनकि उहाँ भलो हुनुहुन्छ, किनकि उहाँको करारको विश्‍वस्‍तता सदासर्वदा रहन्छ ।

Praise the Lord! Thank the Lord, for he is good! His trustworthy love lasts forever.

2 परमप्रभुको शक्तिशाली कामहरू कसले वर्णन गर्न सक्छ वा उहाँ सबै प्रशंसाननिय कामहरू कसले घोषणा गर्न सक्छ र?

Who can give an account of all the wonderful things the Lord has done? Who can give him all the praise he is due?

3 जे ठिक छ सो गर्नेहरू र जसका कामहरू सधैं न्यायोचित हुन्‍छन्, तिनीहरू धन्यका होऊन् ।

Happy are those who treat people fairly, who always do what is right.

4 हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई कृपा गर्नुहुँदा मलाई समम्झनुहोस् । तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई बचाउनुहुँदा मलाई सहायता गर्नुहोस् ।

Please remember me when you are generous to your people; think of me when you come to save.

5 तब तपाईंका चुनिएकाहरूको फलिफाप म हेर्नेछु, तपाईंको जातिको खुसीमा आनन्‍दित हुनेछु र तपाईंको उत्तराधिकारसँगै महिमित हुनेछु ।

Let me see your chosen people prosperous; let me be happy together with your nation; let me share in being proud of you with those who belong to you.

6 हाम्रा पुर्खाहरूले झैं हामीले पाप गरेका छौं । हामीले गल्ती गरेका छौं र हामीले खराबी गरेका छौं ।

We have sinned just like our forefathers. We have done wrong. We are guilty.

7 हाम्रा पुर्खाहरूले मिश्रदेशमा तपाईंका अचम्मका कामहरूको कदर गरेनन् । तिनीहरूले तपाईंका करारको विश्‍वस्‍तताका धेरै कामहरूलाई बवास्‍ता गरे । तिनीहरू लाल समुद्रमा विद्रोही भए ।

They didn't pay attention to the wonderful things you did. They didn't keep in mind how much you loved them, but chose to rebel at the sea, the Red Sea.

8 तापनि, उहाँले आफ्नो नाउँको खातिर तिनीहरूलाई बचाउनुभयो ताकि उहाँले आफ्नो शक्ति प्रकट गर्न सक्‍नुभएको होस् ।

Even so he saved them because of the kind of person he is, and to show his power

9 उहाँले लाल समुद्रलाई हप्कानुभयो र त्‍यो सुक्यो । अनि उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई उजाडस्‍थानमा झैं समुद्रको गहिराइमा डोर्‍याउनुभयो ।

He gave his order to the Red Sea, and it dried up. He led his people across the seabed as if it were a desert.

10 तिनीहरूलाई घृणा गर्नेहरूको हातबट उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई बचाउनुभयो र शत्रुहरूका हातबाट उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई छुट्टाउनुभयो ।

He rescued them from those who hated them; he saved them from their enemies' power.

11 तर तिनीहरूका वैरीहरूलाई पानीले छोप्यो । तिनीहरूमध्‍ये एक जना पनि बाँचेन ।

The water drowned their enemies—none of them survived,

12 तब तिनीहरूले उहाँको वचनमा विश्‍वास गरे र तिनीहरूले उहाँको स्‍तुति गाए ।

Then his people trusted in what he promised, and sang his praises.

13 तर उहाँले जे गर्नुभएको थियो त्‍यो तिनीहरूले तुरुन्‍तै बिर्से । तिनीहरूले उहाँको सल्‍लाहको निम्ति पर्खेनन् ।

But they quickly forgot what he had done for them, and they didn't listen to his advice.

14 उजाडस्थानमा तिनीहरूमा असन्‍तुष्‍ट इच्‍छाहरू थिए र तिनीहरूले मरुभूमिमा परमेश्‍वरलाई चुनौति दिए ।

They were filled with desperate cravings in the wilderness; they provoked God in the desert.

15 त्यसैले तिनीहरूले जे मागे उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई त्‍यही दिनुभयो, तर उहाँले तिनीहरूमाथि डरलाग्दो रोग पठाउनुभयो ।

He gave them what they wanted, but sent them a plague as well.

16 छाउनीमा तिनीहरू परमप्रभुका पवित्र पुजारी मोशा र हारूनप्रति डाही बने ।

In the camp the people became jealous of Moses, and of Aaron, the Lord's holy priest.

17 पृथ्वीले खुल्‍यो र दातानलाई निल्यो र अबीरामको पछि लाग्‍नेहरूलाई ढाकिदियो ।

The earth split open and swallowed up Dathan; it buried Abiram and his followers.

18 तिनीहरू माझमा आगो सल्कियो । त्‍यो आगोले दुष्‍टहरूलाई भष्‍म पार्‍यो ।

Fire broke out among them—a flame that burned them up.

19 तिनीहरूले होरेबा एउटा बाछो बनाए र धातुको मूर्तीको आकृति पुजे ।

At Mount Sinai they made a calf, they bowed down before a metal idol.

20 तिनीहरूले परमेश्‍वरको महिमालाई घाँस खाने साँढेको प्रतिमासँग साटे ।

They replaced their God of glory with a bull that eats grass!

21 तिनीहरूले आफ्‍ना उद्धारकर्तालाई बिर्से जसले मिश्रदेशमा महान् कामहरू गर्नुभएको थियो ।

They forgot God, their Savior, who had done marvelous things in Egypt;

22 उहाँले हामको देशमा अचम्‍मका कामहरू र लाल समुद्रमा शक्तिशाली कामहरू गर्नुभएको थियो ।

performing miracles in the land of Ham, doing amazing things at the Red Sea.

23 त्यसैले उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई नाश गर्छु भन्‍नुहुँदा—तिनीहरूलाई नष्‍ट गर्ने उहाँको रिस हटाउनलाई उहाँको चुनिएको जन मोशा धाँदोमा खडा भए ।

So he said he was going to destroy them But Moses, his chosen leader, placed himself between the Lord and the people to persuade the Lord not to destroy them in his anger.

24 त्‍यसपछि तिनीहरूले फलवन्त देशलाई घृणा गरे । तिनीहरूले उहाँको प्रतिज्ञामा विश्‍वास गरेनन्,

Later the people refused to enter the Promised Land; they didn't trust him to do as he'd promised.

25 तर आफ्‍ना पालहरूमा गनगन गरे र पमरप्रभुको आज्ञा पालन गरेनन् ।

They complained in their tents about the Lord, and refused to obey what he told them.

26 यसकारण उहाँले आफ्नो हात उठाउनुभयो र तिनीहरूसित शपथ खानुभयो, कि उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई मरुभूमिमा नै मर्न दिनुहुनेछ,

So he raised his hand to give them a serious warning that he would bring them down in the wilderness,

27 तिनीहरूका सन्तानहरूलाई जातिहरूका माझमा तितरबितर पार्नहुनेछ, र तिनीहरूलाई विदेशहरूमा छरपष्‍ट पार्नुहुनेछ ।

that he would disperse their descendants among the heathen nations, scattering them among countries far away.

28 तिनीहरूले पोरको बाललाई पुजा गरे र मृतकलाई चढाइएको बलिहरू खाए ।

They gave their allegiance to Baal Peor, and ate food sacrificed to the dead.

29 तिनीहरूले आफ्‍ना कामहरूले उहाँलाई रिस उठाए र तिनीहरू माझमा एउटा रुढी फैलियो ।

They provoked the Lord by what they did, making him angry, so a plague broke out among them.

30 तब मध्यस्थ गर्न पीनहास उठे र रूढी थामियो ।

But Phinehas took a stand for the Lord and intervened, and the plague was stopped in its tracks.

31 यो तिनको निम्ति सबै पुस्तासम्म सदाको निम्ति धार्मिकता गनियो ।

He has been considered as a man who lived right from that time on and for all generations.

32 तिनीहरूले मेरीबको पानीमा पनि परमप्रभुलाई रिस उठाए र तिनीहरूका कारणले मोशाले कष्‍ट भोगे ।

They also angered him at the waters of Meribah where things went badly for Moses because of them.

33 तिनीहरूले मोशालाई तिक्‍त बनाए र तिनले हतारमा बोले ।

They upset him so much that he spoke without thinking in the heat of the moment.

34 परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई आज्ञा गरेअनुसार तिनीहरूले जातिहरूलाई नष्‍ट पारेनन्,

They did not destroy the heathen peoples as the Lord had told them to do,

35 तर तिनीहरू जातिहरूसँग मसिए र तिनीहरूका मार्गहरू सिके,

but instead they joined in with them and adopted their way of life.

36 र तिनीहरूका मूर्तीहरूको पुजा गरे जुन तिनीहरूको निम्ति पासो बन्यो ।

They worshiped their pagan idols which became a trap for them.

37 तिनीहरूले आफ्‍ना छोरा र छोरीहरू भुत आत्माहरूलाई बलि चढाए ।

The even sacrificed their sons and daughters to these demons.

38 तिनीहरूले निर्दोष रगतको, अर्थात् आफ्‍ना छोराहरू र छोरीहरूका रगत बगाए, जुन तिनीहरूले कनानको मूर्तीहरूलाई बलि चढाएर रगतले देशलाई अशुद्ध पारे ।

They shed the blood of innocent children, their sons and daughters, sacrificing them to the idols of Canaan. By doing so they defiled the land with blood.

39 तिनीहरू आफ्‍ना कामहरूले अशुद्ध भए । तिनीहरूका कामहरूले तिनीहरू वेश्याजस्तै भए ।

The also defiled themselves by what they did: their actions were spiritual adultery.

40 त्यसैले परमप्रभु आफ्ना मानिसहरूसँग रिसाउनुभयो र उहाँले आफ्नै मानिसहरूलाई घृणा गर्नुभयो ।

So the Lord was angry with his people—he loathed those who belonged to him.

41 उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई जातिहरूका हातमा सुम्पिनुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई घृणा गर्नेहरूले तिनीहरूमाथि राज्‍य गरे ।

He handed them over to the heathen nations. These people who hated them now became their rulers.

42 तिनीहरूका शत्रुहरूले तिनीहरूमाथि थिचोमिचो गरे, र तिनीहरूलाई आफ्‍ना अधिकारीको अधीनमा पारियो ।

Their enemies dominated and subdued them with their power.

43 तिनीहरूलाई सहायता गर्न उहाँ धेरैपल्‍ट आउनुभयो, तर तिनीहरूले निरन्‍तर विद्रोह गरे र तिनीहरूका आफ्नै पापले तल पारिए ।

The Lord repeatedly rescued them, but they continued with their rebellious ideas, until they were finally destroyed by their own sins.

44 तापनि, सहायताको निम्ति तिनीहरूका पुकारा उहाँले सुन्‍नुहुँदा उहाँले तिनीहरूका संकष्‍टमा ध्यान दिनुभयो ।

Despite all this, the Lord was moved by their suffering; he heard their sad cries.

45 उहाँले तिनीहरूसँगको आफ्‍नो करारलाई सम्झिनुभयो र आफ्‍नो अटल प्रेमको कारणले नरम हुनुभयो ।

He remembered the agreement he had made with them, and he held back because of his great kindness and love.

46 तिनीहरूका सबै विजेतालाई तिनीहरूमाथि दया गर्ने उहाँले बनाउनुहुन्थ्यो ।

He made the people who captured them treat them with mercy.

47 हे परमप्रभु, हाम्रा परमेश्‍वर, हामीलाई बचाउनुहोस् । हामीलाई जातिहरूको माझबाट भेला गर्नुहोस्, ताकि तपाईंको पवित्र नाउँमा हामी धन्यवाद दिन र तपाईंका प्रशंसाहरूमा गर्व गर्न सकौं।

Save us, Lord, our God! Bring us back together from among the nations, so we can thank you and declare how magnificent and holy you are.

48 इस्राएलका परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरको अनादिदेखि अनन्तसम्म स्तुति होस् । सबै मानिसहरूले भने, “आमेन ।” परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा होस् ।

How wonderful is the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives forever and ever! Let all the people say “Amen”! Praise the Lord!
