अय्यूब 42

1 तब अय्यूबले परमप्रभुलाई जवाफ दिए र यसो भने,

Then Job answered Jehovah,

2 “तपाईंले सबै कुरा गर्न सक्‍नुहुन्छ भनी म जान्‍दछु, र तपाईंको कुनै पनि उद्देश्यलाई रोक्‍न सकिंदैन ।

"I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained.

3 तपाईंले सोध्‍नुभयो, 'ज्ञानविना योजनाहरू लुकाउने को हो?' वास्तवमा मैले यस्ता कुराहरू बोलेको छु, जुन मैले बुझिनँ, जुन बुझ्न मलाई अत्यन्तै गार्‍हो थियो, जसको बारेमा मलाई थाहा थिएन ।

You asked, 'Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?' therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

4 तपाईंले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो, 'अब सुन्, र म बोल्नेछु । म तँलाई सोध्‍नेछु, र तैंले मलाई जवाफ दिनेछस् ।'

You said, 'Listen, now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.'

5 तपाईंको विषयमा मेरा कानले मात्र मैले सुनेको थिएँ, तर अहिले मेरा आँखाले नै तपाईंलाई देखेका छन् ।

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.

6 त्यसैले म आफैलाई हीन ठान्‍छु । धूलो र खरानीमा बसेर म पश्‍चात्ताप गर्छु ।”

Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes."

7 परमप्रभुले अय्यूबसित यी वचनहरू बोल्‍नुभएपछि, उहाँले एलीपज तेमानीलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “तँ र तेरा दुई जना मित्रको विरुद्धमा मेरो क्रोध दन्किएको छ, किनकि मेरो दास अय्यूबले झैं तिमीहरूले मेरो विषयमा जे ठिक छ, सो बोलेका छैनौ ।

It was so, that after Jehovah had spoken these words to Job, Jehovah said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.

8 त्यसकारण अब आफ्‍नो निम्‍ति सातवटा साँढे र सातवटा भेडा लेओ, मेरो दास अय्यूबकहाँ जाओ, र आफ्नो लागि होमबलि चढाओ । मेरो दास अय्यूबले तिमीहरूका लागि प्रार्थना चढाउनेछ, र म त्यसको प्रार्थना ग्रहण गर्नेछु, जसको कारणले तिमीहरूको मूर्खताअनुरूपको व्यवहार मैले तिमीहरूसित गर्न नपरोस् । मेरो दास अय्यूबले भनेझैं तिमीहरूले मेरो विषयमा जे ठिक छ, सो बोलेका छैनौ ।”

Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has."

9 त्यसैले एलीपज तेमानी, बिल्दद शुही र सोपर नमाती गए, र परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई आज्ञा दिनुभएझैं गरे, अनि परमप्रभुले अय्यूबको प्रार्थना ग्रहण गर्नुभयो ।

So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did what Jehovah commanded them, and Jehovah accepted Job.

10 अय्यूबले आफ्ना मित्रहरूका निम्ति प्रार्थना गरेपछि, परमप्रभुले तिनको सुदिन पुनर्स्थापित गर्नुभयो । तिनीसित पहिले भएकोभन्दा परमप्रभुले तिनलाई दोब्बर दिनुभयो ।

Jehovah turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.

11 तब अय्यूबका सबै दाजु-भाइ, दिदी-बहिनी र तिनले पहिले चिनेका सबै जना तिनीकहाँ आए, र तिनको घरमा भोज गरे । परमप्रभुले तिनीमाथि ल्याउनुभएका सबै विपत्तिको निम्ति तिनीहरूले तिनलाई सहानुभूति र सान्त्वना प्रकट गरे । हरेकले अय्यूबलाई चाँदीको टुक्रा र सुनको औँठी दिए ।

Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had permitted on him. And each of them gave him a kesitah and a gold ring.

12 परमप्रभुले अय्यूबको जीवनको अगिल्लो समयमा भन्दा पछिल्लो समयमा झन् धेरै आशिष् दिनुभयो । तिनका चौध हजार भेडा, छ हजार ऊँट, एक हजार हल गोरु र एक हजार गधैनी थिए ।

So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.

13 तिनका सात छोरा र तिन छोरी पनि थिए ।

He had also seven sons and three daughters.

14 तिनले जेठीको नाउँ यमीमा, माहिलीको नाउँ कसीआ र कान्छीको नाउँ केरेन-हप्पूक राखे ।

He called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren Happuch.

15 सारा देशमा अय्यूबका छोरीहरूजत्तिकै सुन्दरी कुनै स्‍त्रीहरू पनि थिएनन् । तिनीहरूका पिताले तिनीहरूलाई आफ्‍ना दाजुभाइसरह नै पैतृक-अंश दिए ।

In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.

16 यसपछि अय्यूब थप १४० वर्षसम्म बाँचे । तिनले आफ्ना छोराहरू, नातिहरू र चार पुस्तासम्मका सन्तानहरूलाई देखे ।

After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, to four generations.

17 तब पुरा बुढेसकालमा दीर्घायू भएर अय्यूब मरे ।

So Job died, being old and full of days.
