अय्यूब 39

1 चट्टानहरूका घोरल कहिले बियाउँछ भनी तँ जान्‍दछस्? हरिणीले बच्‍चा जन्माउँदै गर्दा के तैंले हेर्न सक्छस्?

[Say] if you know the time of the bringing forth of the wild goats of the rock, and [if] you have marked the calving of the hinds:

2 तिनीहरूले पेटमा पाठा बोक्दा के तैंले तिनीहरूको महिना गन्‍न सक्छस्? तिनीहरूले बच्‍चा जन्माउने समय तँलाई थाहा छ?

and [if] you has have numbered the full months of their being with young, and [if] you have relieved their pangs:

3 तिनीहरू निहुरिन्छन्, र आफ्ना पाठा पाउँछन्, अनि यसरी तिनीहरूको आफ्नो प्रसव-वेदना सकिन्छ ।

and have reared their young without fear; and will you loosen their pangs?

4 तिनीहरूका पाठा बलिया हुन्छन्, र खुला खेतहरूमा हुर्कन्छन् । तिनीहरू बाहिर निस्कन्छन्, र फेरि फर्केर आउँदैनन् ।

Their young will break forth; they will be multiplied with offspring: [their young] will go forth, and will not return to them.

5 वन-गधालाई कसले छाडा छोडेको हो? कुद्‍ने गधाको बन्धन कसले फुकालेको हो,

And who is he that sent forth the wild ass free? and who loosed his bands?

6 जसको बासस्थान अराबामा, त्यसको घर खारको जग्गामा मैले बनाएको छु ।

whereas I made his habitation the wilderness, and the salt land his coverts.

7 सहरको होहल्ला सुनेर त्यसले गिल्ला गर्दै हाँस्‍छ । लखेट्नेले कराएको त्यसले सुन्दैन ।

He laughs to scorn the multitude of the city, and hears not the chiding of the tax-gatherer.

8 डाँडाहरूमा भएका आफ्‍ना खर्कहरूतिर त्‍यो घुम्‍छ । खानलाई त्यहाँ त्यसले हरेक हरियो बिरुवा खोज्‍छ ।

He will survey the mountains [as] his pasture, and he seeks after every green thing.

9 वन-गोरुले तेरो सेवा गर्न खुसी हुनेछ र? तेरो डुँडनेर बस्‍न त्यो सन्तुष्‍ट हुनेछ र?

And will the unicorn be willing to serve you, or to lie down at your manger?

10 वन-गोरुलाई हलोको सियोमा हिंडाउन तँ डोरीको प्रयोग गर्न सक्छन्? त्यसले तेरो कुरा मानेर उपत्यकाहरूलाई जोत्‍नेछ?

And will you bind his yoke with thongs, or will he plow furrows for you in the plain?

11 त्यसको बल अत्‍याधिक हुनाले त्यसमा तँ भर पर्छस् र? त्यसले तेरो काम गरोस् भनेर के तैंले आफ्नो काम छाड्नेछस्?

And do you trust him, because his strength is great? and will you commit your works to him?

12 तेरो अन्‍न घरमा ल्‍याउन, अन्‍लाई तेरो खलामा जम्मा गर्न, के त्यसमाथि तँ भर पर्छस् र?

And will you believe that he will return to you your seed, and bring [it] in [to] your threshing floor?

13 शुतुरमुर्गका पखेटा हर्षोल्लाससाथ चल्छन्, तर के ती प्रेमका पखेटाहरू र पुच्‍छर हुन् र?

The peacock has a beautiful wing: if the stork and the ostrich conceive, [it is worthy of notice],

14 किनकि त्यसले भुइँमा आफ्ना फुलहरू छोड्छ, र ती त्‍यसले धूलोमा नै तातो हुन दिन्छ ।

for [the ostrich] will leave her eggs in the ground, and warm them on the dust,

15 पैतलाले तिनलाई कुल्चन सक्छ वा जङ्गली जनावरले कुल्चिन सक्‍छ भनी त्यसले बिर्सन्छ ।

and has forgotten that the foot will scatter them, and the wild beasts of the field trample them.

16 त्यसले आफ्ना बच्‍चाहरूलाई आफ्नो नभएजस्तै गरी निर्दयतापूर्वक व्यवहार गर्छ । त्यसको परिश्रम व्यर्थैमा खेर जान्छ कि भनी त्यो डराउँदैन,

She has hardened [herself] against her young ones, as though [she bereaved] not herself: she labors in vain without fear.

17 किनकि परमेश्‍वरले त्यसलाई बुद्धिहीन तुल्याउनुभएको छ, र त्यसलाई कुनै समझशक्ति दिनुभएको छैन ।

For God has withholden wisdom from her, and not given her a portion in understanding.

18 जब त्यो तीव्र गतिमा दोडन्‍छ, त्यसले घोडा र त्यसमा सवार हुनेलाई गिल्ला गर्छ ।

In her season she will lift herself on high; she will scorn the horse and his rider.

19 घोडालाई त्यसको शक्ति तैंले दिएको हो? त्यसको गर्दनमा जगरले पहिराएको तैंले हो?

Hast you invested the horse with strength, and clothed his neck with terror?

20 त्यसलाई तैंले कहिल्यै सलहले झैं उफ्रन लगाएको छस्? त्यसको चर्को हिनहिनाइ डरलाग्दो हुन्‍छ ।

And have you clad him in perfect armor, and made his breast glorious with courage?

21 त्यसले शक्तिमा टाप बजाउँछ, र आफ्नो ताकतमा आनन्द मनाउँछ । हतियारको सामना गर्न त्यो जाइलाग्छ ।

He paws exulting in the plain, and goes forth in strength into the plain.

22 त्यसले डरको खिल्ली उडाउँछ, र हतोत्साही हुँदैन । तरवार देखेर त्यो फर्केर भाग्‍दैन ।

He laughs to scorn a king as he meets him, and will by no means turn back from the sword.

23 काँडको ठोक्रो त्यसको छेउमा धर्ररर बज्छ, अनि त्यहाँ भाला र तरवार चम्कन्छ ।

The bow and sword resound against him; and [his] rage will swallow up the ground:

24 क्रोध र रिसले त्यसले जमिनलाई निलिदिन्छ । तुरहीको आवाजले गर्दा त्यो एक ठाउँमा खडा हुन सक्दैन ।

and he will not believe until the trumpet sounds.

25 जब तुरही बजेको सुनिन्‍छ, तब त्यसले भन्छ, 'आहा!' कमान्‍डरहरूका गर्जने आवाज र होहल्‍लाले, त्यसले टाढैबाट युद्धको गन्ध थाहा पाउँछ ।

And when the trumpet sounds, he says, Aha! and afar off he smells the war with prancing and neighing.

26 के तेरो बुद्धिद्वारा बाज माथि-माथि उड्ने हो र दक्षिणतिर त्यसले आफ्नो पखेटा फिंजाउने हो?

And does the hawk remain steady by your wisdom, having spread out her wings unmoved, looking toward the region of the south?

27 के तेरो आज्ञामा गिद्ध माथि-माथि उड्ने हो र अग्ला ठाउँहरूमा आफ्ना गुँडहरू बनाउने हो?

And does the eagle rise at your command, and the vulture remain sitting over his nest,

28 त्यो पहरामा बस्छ र पहराकै टाकुरामा त्यसले आफ्नो घर बनाउँछ जुन किल्‍लाझैं हुन्छ ।

on a crag of a rock, and in a secret [place]?

29 त्यहाँबाट त्यसले सिकारहरूको खोजी गर्छ । त्यसका आँखाले धेरै टाढाबाट तिनलाई देख्छन् ।

Thence he seeks food, his eyes observe from far.

30 त्यसका बचेराहरूले पनि रगत पिउँछन् । जहाँ लाश हुन्छ, त्यहाँ त्यो हुन्छ ।”

And his young ones roll themselves in blood, and wherever the carcasses may be, immediately they are found.
