प्रस्थान 11
1 तब परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “फारो र मिश्रमा मैले ल्याउने एउटा विपत्ति अझै पनि बाँकी छ । त्यसपछि त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई यहाँबाट जान दिनेछ । अन्त्यमा त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई जान दिँदा त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई पूर्ण रूपमा निकालिदिनेछ ।
Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “I will cause one more disaster to strike the king of Egypt and all his people [MTY]. After that, he will let you leave. In fact, he will expel you all.
2 हरेक पुरुष र स्त्रीले तिनीहरूका छिमेकीहरूबाट चाँदी र सरसामानहरू माग्न तिनीहरूलाई निर्देशन दे ।”
So now speak to all the [Israeli] people. Tell them to ask all their [Egyptian] neighbors, both men and women, to give them some silver and gold jewelry.”
3 अब परमप्रभुले मिश्रीहरूलाई इस्राएलीहरूलाई खुसी तुल्याउन उत्सुक बनाइदिनुभयो । यसको अतिरिक्त, यी मानिस मोशा फारोका अधिकारीहरू र मिश्रका मानिसहरूका दृष्टिमा प्रभावशाली बने ।
Yahweh made the Egyptians highly respect the Israeli people. In particular, the Egyptian officials and all [the rest of] the people considered Moses/me to be a very great man.
4 मोशाले भने, “परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः मध्यराततिर म मिश्र भएर जानेछु ।
Then Moses/I [went to the king and] said, “This is what Yahweh says: ‘About midnight [tonight] I will go throughout Egypt,
5 मिश्र देशमा सिंहासनमा बस्ने फारोको जेठो छोरोदेखि लिएर जाँतो पिँध्ने दासीको जेठो छोरोसम्म र गाईवस्तुका सबै पहिले जन्मेकाहरू मर्नेछन् ।
and I will cause all the firstborn/oldest [sons] to die. That will include your oldest son, the oldest sons of the slave women who grind grain, [and the oldest sons of everyone else]. I will also kill the oldest males of the Egyptians’ livestock.
6 त्यसपछि मिश्र देशमा पहिले कहिल्यै नसुनिएको र फेरि पछि कहिल्यै नसुनिने ठुलो रुवाबासी हुनेछ ।
When that happens, people all over Egypt will wail loudly. They have never wailed like that before, and they will never wail like that again.
7 तर इस्राएलका मानिस र पशुको विरुद्धमा भने एउटा कुकुर पनि भुक्नेछैन । यसरी मैले मिश्रीहरू र इस्राएलीहरूलाई फरक तरिकाले व्यवहार गर्दै छु भनी तैँले जान्नेछस् ।
But among the Israeli people [it will be so quiet that] not even a dog will bark! Then you will know for sure that I, Yahweh, distinguish [how I act toward] the Egyptians and [how I act toward] the Israeli people.
8 फारोका सबै अधिकारी मकहाँ आई मेरो सामु निहुरिनेछन् । तिनीहरूले भन्नेछन्, 'तपाईंको पछि लाग्ने सबै मानिस जाऊन् ।' त्यसपछि म जानेछु ।” तब तिनी फारोकहाँबाट अति क्रोधित भएर गए ।
Then all these officials of yours will come and bow down before me and will say, “Please get out [of Egypt], you and all the Israeli people!”’ After that, I will leave Egypt!” [After Moses/I said that], he/I very angrily left the king.
9 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “फारोले तेरो कुरा सुन्नेछैन । मैले मिश्र देशमा धेरै अचम्मका कामहरू गर्न सकूँ भनेर यसो भएको हो ।”
Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “The king will not pay any attention to what you say. The result will be that I will perform more plagues in the land of Egypt.”
10 मोशा र हारूनले फारोको सामु यी सबै अचम्मका काम गरे । तर परमप्रभुले फारोको ह्रदय कठोर पारिदिनुभयो र तिनले आफ्नो देशबाट इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई जान दिएनन् ।
Aaron and Moses/I performed all these miracles in front of the king, but Yahweh made the king stubborn, and he did not let the Israeli people leave his country.
