< 1 Timothi 1 >
1 Seng Pangte Rangte jengkhaap jun ih Jisu Kristo seng laalomte wah kaamwah Pool jiin nawa arah le ah—
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to a command of God our Saviour, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
2 Hanpiite jun ih amiisak nga sah, Timothi suh: Seng loong Wah Rangte nyia Jisu Kristo seng Teesu ih an suh tenthet, minchan, nyia semroongroong ah toom koho.
to Timotheus — genuine child in faith: Grace, kindness, peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord,
3 Ngah Mesidonia juungkhuung ko ih katang adi baat taha likhiik, amadoh uh an suh Ephisas samnuthung adoh tong uh ih baat hala. Erah ni maramarah mina ih tiitmoong banlam nyoot rumha, eno erah loong an ih tanghaam jaatjaat etheng.
according as I did exhort thee to remain in Ephesus — I going on to Macedonia — that thou mightest charge certain not to teach any other thing,
4 Neng suh baat rum uh teewah khiikkhi nyia wih ate men loong wootthaam baattaan ah eto toom et rum ah erah ih bah changrook jengdaan ba dongsiit ah, Rangte kaankoong hanpi jun ih mojih ah tabaam jen mothukka.
nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, that cause questions rather than the building up of God that is in faith: —
5 Arah jengdang hesot hemat abah minchan seng ten nawa ih dong hala, nyia thung atak phanjangjang, erah dam ih seng hanpi loong ah.
And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned,
6 Mararah mina ih erah loong ah thiinhaat rum ano thaangmuh tiitwaan ah moong phoongwaan rumla.
from which certain, having swerved, did turn aside to vain discourse,
7 Neng ih Rangte Hootthe ah nyoot suh ram rumla, enoothong neng ih tumjih nyoot rumha neng teeteewah ih tasamjat rumka adoleh elang jaat eah ih nyoot rumha ah neng ih botseh tasamjat rumka.
willing to be teachers of law, not understanding either the things they say, nor concerning what they asseverate,
8 Seng ih jat ehi Hootthe ah ese, mamet maaktheng ah erah jat ih bah ah.
and we have known that the law [is] good, if any one may use it lawfully;
9 Seng ih ejat jaatjaat etheng, Hotthe ah ese mina loong raang ih tah angka, erah nang ih bah hootthe thet haatte nyia ehuh eleek, rangdah nyia rangmuh hasong mina loong raang ih, nyia chiiala adoleh thooroom lajatte loong raang ih, nengnuh nengwah tek haatte nyia mih tek haatte loong raang ih,
having known this, that for a righteous man law is not set, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, parricides and matricides, men-slayers,
10 mih damdoh roomjup matkapte raang ih, miwah ah miwah damdi, minuh ah minuh damdi muungtuungla loong raang, mih ething et putte raang ih, eleek tiitbaatte raang ih nyia emoong haaki tiitbaatte raang ih adoleh amiisak banlam tiit loong phaakiitte loong raang ih.
whoremongers, sodomites, men-stealers, liars, perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that to sound doctrine is adverse,
11 Erah loong ah Rangte tiitkhaap nah choh ah, chaan aphaan nyia romseetam kotte Rangte ih erah Ruurang Ese ah ngah suh tumbaat thuk halang.
according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
12 Nga ih Teesu Jisu Kristo suh lakookmi liihang, heh mootkaat raang ih ngah suh tathat kohang no ah. Ngah suh heh mootkaat nah jen pun mojih chaan ah kohang no nyia danpoon hangno lakookmi liihang,
And I give thanks to him who enabled me — Christ Jesus our Lord — that he did reckon me stedfast, having put [me] to the ministration,
13 ehak di bah ngah ih heh suh ethih kah ih liitang nyia siiwi chamnaang angno dut haat etang. Enoothong Rangte ih ngah ah minchan et tahang tumeah nga heh suh lahanpi thang ih tumjih reetang rah tajat tang.
who before was speaking evil, and persecuting, and insulting, but I found kindness, because, being ignorant, I did [it] in unbelief,
14 Eno seng Teesu ih ngah suh lajen toobaat theng tenthet ah kotahang erah dam ih Jisu Kristo jiin nawa minchan nyia hanpi theng anep kotahang.
and exceedingly abound did the grace of our Lord, with faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus:
15 Arah amiisak tiit seng ih kamkam et hanpiijih nyia thangjih: Kristo Jisu arah mongrep adi rangdah mina loong pangsuh ra taha. Erah mong dowa ethithoon rangdah mina ah ngah,
stedfast [is] the word, and of all acceptation worthy, that Christ Jesus came to the world to save sinners — first of whom I am;
16 enoothong rangdah mina ang ang abah uh Jisu Kristo ih heh minchan ah nga sak ni noisok jatahang, eno erah minchan ah mihoh loong ih nyootsok hangno hanpi rum ah, eno neng ah lathoon theng roidong ah chorum ah. (aiōnios )
but because of this I found kindness, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all long-suffering, for a pattern of those about to believe on him to life age-during: (aiōnios )
17 Babah uh lathoonka luungwang, latekte nyia latuptheng, Rangte heh luulu—asuh roitang roijang ih soongsap theng nyia phoongpha etheng! Amen. (aiōn )
and to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honour and glory — to the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn )
18 Nga sah, Timothi, Ngah suh jaakhoni khowah loong ih an tiit banbaat rum tahang jun ih an suh arah jengdang loong ah baat kohala. Erah jengdang loong ah lang apah dakbi et maak uno ba raamui jen mui uh,
This charge I commit to thee, child Timotheus, according to the prophesies that went before upon thee, that thou mayest war in them the good warfare,
19 eno an tuungmaang nyia thung atak ah phanjangjang et thun uh. Mararah ih nengthung nengtak ni epun angla ah lakap thang ih neng tuungmaang ah thet haat rumha.
having faith and a good conscience, which certain having thrust away, concerning the faith did make shipwreck,
20 Erah dung dowa ah Himenus nyia Alekjender, erah wanyi ah ngah ih Soitaan lak ni konyu angno chamnaang thuk hang; eno nyi ih erah dowa ih ba jatnyu ah Rangte jeng abah ladaanjih boh ah eah eno kok toohaat nyu ah.
of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I did deliver to the Adversary, that they might be instructed not to speak evil.
