1 Tunakunnjandishilanga mmanganyanji ga Lilobhe lya Gumi, lyaapali kuumila kundandubho, uwe twalipilikene, twalibhweni kwa meyo getu twaashaayene, twashinkulibhona kwa meyo getu na kulikwaya kwa makono getu twaashayene.
That which was from [the] beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with the eyes of us, that which we have gazed upon and the hands of us handled concerning the Word of life —
2 Gwene gumigo pugwalangwilwe kwetu uwe twaubhweni. Kwa lyene ligongoli tunakuukong'ondela na kunnungushiyanga ngani ja gwene gumi gwa pitipiti uli na a Tati na ulangwilwe kunngwetu (aiōnios g166)
and the life was made manifest, and we have seen and bear witness and we proclaim to you the life eternal which was with the Father and was revealed to us — (aiōnios g166)
3 Lyene litulibhweni na kulipilikana lila, ni litulunguya kunngwenunji nkupinga na mmanganya nnundananje na uwe. Na kulundana kwetu, ni kubha pamo na a Tati na Bhana bhabho a Yeshu Kilishitu.
that which we have seen and have heard, we proclaim (also *no*) to you so that also you yourselves fellowship may have with us; Indeed the fellowship now our own [is] with the Father and with the Son of Him Jesus Christ.
4 Tunakunnjandishilanga mmanganyanji gene malobhe gano nkupinga tubhowe pamo, tuangalale kwa kaje.
And these things write (we ourselves *N(K)O*) so that the joy of us may be completed.
5 Gegano ni malobhe gutupilikene kukoposhela kwa a Yeshu Kilishitu na gutukunnungushiyanga ni gegano. A Nnungu ni shilangaya, na kwa bhenebho kwangali lubhindu.
And is this the (message *NK(O)*) that we have heard from Him and we preach to you that God light is and darkness in Him not is none.
6 Tujilaga kuti tuli pamo na Bhenebho, akuno tulitama nkutenda ya nyata, penepo tunalambila, na itendi yetu nngabha ya kweli.
If we shall say that fellowship we have with Him and yet in the darkness may walk, we lie and not we do practice the truth;
7 Ikabheje tutamaga nshilangaya malinga Bhenebho shibhali nshilangaya, bhai uwe tunabha pamo, na minyai ja a Kilishitu, jinakututakaya yambi yetu yowe.
If now in the light we shall walk as He himself is in the light, fellowship we have with one another and the blood of Jesus (Christ *K*) the Son of Him cleanses us from all sin.
8 Tubheleketaga kuti twangali yambi tunakwiitemba twaashayene, wala twangali kweli mmunda jetu.
If we shall say that sin not we have, ourselves we deceive and the truth not is in us.
9 Ikabheje twiilugulaga yambi yetu, pabha a Nnungu ni bhaakulupalika na bhanatenda aki, bhai shibhatuleshelele yambi yetu, na kututakaya na ya nyata yowe itukwete.
If we shall confess the sins of us, faithful He is and just that He may forgive us [our] sins and may cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 Tujilaga kuti tukanabhe tenda yambi, tunakwaatenda a Nnungu bhanami, na lilobhe lyabho likaatama mmunda jetu.
If we shall say that not we have sinned, a liar we make Him and the word of Him not is in us.
