< Salamo 48 >

1 Jabahinake t’Iehovà, vaho rengeñe mb’añ’abo; an-drovan’ Añaharen-tikañe, i vohi’e miavakey.
A Song, a Psalm, by sons of Korah. Great [is] Jehovah, and praised greatly, In the city of our God — His holy hill.
2 Fanjàka an-toe’e eo, ty hafalea’ ty tane toy, ty vohi’ i Tsiône añ’ila’e avaratse ey, ty rova’ i Mpanjaka hinakinakey.
Beautiful [for] elevation, A joy of all the land, [is] Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of a great king.
3 I Andrianañahare an-kijoli’ey, ty nampandrèndreke t’ie ro fipalirañe.
God in her high places is known for a tower.
4 Hehe, nifanontoñe o mpanjakao, nitrao-pionjoñe mb’etoañe,
For, lo, the kings met, they passed by together,
5 Nioni’ iereo; le nilatsa; nangetraketrake, vaho nitriban-day.
They have seen — so they have marvelled, They have been troubled, they were hastened away.
6 Namihiñe iareo ty fihondrahondra, ninivonivotse hoe ampela mitsongo.
Trembling hath seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.
7 I tiok’ atiñanañey ty ampivaletrahe’o o lakam-bein-Tarsiseo.
By an east wind Thou shiverest ships of Tarshish.
8 Hambañe amy jinanjin-tikañey ty nionin-tika an-drova’ Iehovà’ i Màroy, an-drovan’ Añaharentikañe ao; ee t’ie hajadon’ Añahare tsy ho modo nainai’ey. Selà
As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of Jehovah of hosts, In the city of our God, God doth establish her — to the age. (Selah)
9 Nitsakorea’ay ty fiferenaiña’o ry Andrianañahare añivo’ i anjomba’o miavakey.
We have thought, O God, of Thy kindness, In the midst of Thy temple,
10 Manahake i tahina’oy ry Andrianañahare, ty fandrengeañe Azo, pak’ añ’olo’ ty tane toy; lifo-kavantañañe ty fità’o havana.
As [is] Thy name, O God, so [is] Thy praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness hath filled Thy right hand.
11 Ampifaleo i vohitse Tsiôney, ampirebeho o anak’ ampela’ Iehodào ty amo fizakà’oo.
Rejoice doth Mount Zion, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Thy judgments.
12 Mañariaria amy Tsiône, ikariokarioho, volilio o fitilik-abo’eo,
Compass Zion, and go round her, count her towers,
13 Hehe o kijoli’eo, rangao o fitalakesañ’abo’eo; hahatalilia’o i tariratse mandimbey.
Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that ye recount to a later generation,
14 Izay t’i Andrianañahare, Andrianañaharen-tikañey, nainai’e donia. Ie ty hiaolo antikañe pak’an-kavilasy.
That this God [is] our God — To the age and for ever, He — he doth lead us over death!
