< Joba 12 >
1 Nanoiñe ami’ty hoe t’Iobe:
And Job answers and says:
2 Toe inahareo avao ro ondaty, vaho hitrao-pihomak’ ama’ areo ty hihitse.
“Truly—you [are] the people, and wisdom dies with you.
3 Fa toe mahilala ka iraho, tsy inahareo avao; Tsy zai’ areo iraho. Ia ty tsy mahafohiñe o raha rezao?
I also have a heart like you, I am not fallen more than you, And with whom is there not like these?
4 Fiankahafa’ o rañekoo iraho: Kanjie’e t’i Andrianañahare, vaho toiñe’e, Fitohafañe i vañoñe tsy aman-kilay.
I am a laughter to his friend: He calls to God, and He answers him, A laughter [is] the perfect righteous one.
5 Tsambolitio’ ty miagaregañe ty failo, ie nihentseñañe ho a o mipolititse am-pandiao.
A torch—despised in the thoughts of the secure Is prepared for those sliding with the feet.
6 Mierañerañe ty kiboho-malaso, le tsi-añoleñañe ty manigìk’ an’Andrianañahare, o mitintiñe ty ndrahare’e am-pità’eo.
The tents of spoilers are at peace, And those provoking God have confidence, Into whose hand God has brought.
7 Fe añontaneo o bibio, hampandrendreha’ iareo; naho o voro-mitiliñeo, hitalilia’ iareo;
And yet, now ask [one of] the beasts, And it shows you, And a bird of the heavens, And it declares to you.
8 ke misaontsia ami’ty tane toy, hañòha’e azo, apoho hitaroña’ o fian-driakeo.
Or talk to the earth, and it shows you, And fishes of the sea recount to you:
9 Ia amy rezay ro tsy mahafohiñe t’ie nanoem-pità’ Iehovà?
Who has not known in all these, That the hand of YHWH has done this?
10 Kila am-pità’e ao ty fiai’ ze veloñe, naho ty kofò’ ze hene ondaty.
In whose hand [is] the breath of every living thing, And the spirit of all flesh of man.
11 Tsy mpitsò-bolañe hao ty ravembia, manahake ty fitsopehan-dañilañy ty mahakama?
Does the ear not try words? And the palate taste food for itself?
12 Amo antetseo hao ty hihitse, amo lava’ androo hao ty hilala?
With the very aged [is] wisdom, And [with] length of days [is] understanding.
13 Aman’Añahare o hihitse naho haozarañeo; ama’e o fanoroañe naho hilalao.
With Him [are] wisdom and might, To Him [are] counsel and understanding.
14 Heheke, mandrotsake re, le tsy hamboareñe ka; agabe’e ao t’indaty, vaho tsy ho hahañe ka.
Behold, He breaks down, and it is not built up, He shuts against a man, And it is not opened.
15 Hehe te kalaña’e o ranoo, le maike; irahe’e ka iereo, le añinahinà’e ty tane.
Behold, He keeps in the waters, and they are dried up, And He sends them forth, And they overturn the land.
16 Ama’e ty hafatrarañe naho ty hilala; aze ty finitake naho ty mpamitake
With Him [are] strength and wisdom, His the deceived and deceiver.
17 Ampañaveloa’e tsy aman-kana o mpanoroo, vaho ampigege’e o mpizakao.
Causing counselors to go away [as] a spoil, Indeed, He makes fools of judges.
18 Abala’e ty kitambem-panjaka vaho diaña’e sokotry ty vania’e.
He has opened the bands of kings, And He binds a girdle on their loins.
19 Asese’e tsy aman-kana o mpisoroñeo naho gorè’e ty fanalolahy.
Causing ministers to go away [as] a spoil And strong ones He overthrows.
20 Ampitsiñe’e ty lañona’ o matoeo, naho afaha’e ty hilala’o antetseo.
Turning aside the lip of the steadfast, And the reason of the aged He takes away.
21 Ampidoaña’e inje o ana-donakeo naho abala’e ty sadia’ o maozatseo.
Pouring contempt on princes, And the girdle of the mighty He made feeble.
22 Ventabentare’e o raha mietak’ añ’ieñeo, aboa’e an-kazavàñe o talinjon-kavilasio.
Removing deep things out of darkness, And He brings out to light death-shade.
23 Onjone’e o fifeheañeo naho rotsahe’e; atratrañahe’e o fifelehañeo vaho asese’e an-drohy añe.
Magnifying the nations, and He destroys them, Spreading out the nations, and He quiets them.
24 Ampimotsoe’e arofo o mpiaolo’ ty tane toio, vaho ampirerererè’e an-dratraratra tsy aman-dalañe añe.
Turning aside the heart Of the heads of the people of the land, And He causes them to wander In vacancy—no way!
25 Ie mijimejime añ’ ieñe ao tsy an-kazavàñe; midaleandaleañe hoe jike.
They feel darkness, and not light, He causes them to wander as a drunkard.”
