< Salamo 52 >
1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Maskila nataon’ i Davida, fony tonga Doega Edomita ka nilaza tamin’ i Saoly hoe: Davida dia efa tonga ao an-tranon’ i Ahimeleka. Nahoana no mandoka tena amin’ ny haratsiana ianao, ry ilay mahery? Ny famindram-pon’ Andriamanitra maharitra mandrakariva.
For the chief musician. A maschil of David; when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, “David has come to the house of Ahimelech.” Why are you proud of making trouble, you mighty man? The covenant faithfulness of God comes every day.
2 Loza no heverin’ ny lelanao, tahaka ny hareza maranitra, ry mpanao fitaka.
Your tongue plans destruction like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3 Efa tia ny ratsy noho ny tsara ianao, ary ny lainga noho ny miteny ny marina. (Sela)
You love evil more than good and lying rather than speaking righteousness. (Selah)
4 Ny teny mandripaka rehetra no tianao, ry lela mamitaka.
You love all words that devour others, you deceitful tongue.
5 Andriamanitra kosa hanimba anao mandrakizay; hisambotra anao sy hanongotra anao hiala ao an-day Izy, ary hamongotra anao tsy ho eo amin’ ny tanin’ ny velona. (Sela)
God will likewise destroy you forever; he will take you up and pluck you out of your tent and root you out of the land of the living. (Selah)
6 Ny marina hijery, dia hatahotra ka hihomehy azy hoe:
The righteous will also see it and fear; they will laugh at him and say,
7 Indro, ny lehilahy izay tsy nanao an’ Andriamanitra ho heriny; fa natoky ny haben’ ny hareny ka nikikitra tamin’ ny faharatsiany.
“See, this is a man who did not make God his refuge, but he trusted in the abundance of his wealth, and he was strong when he destroyed others.”
8 Fa izaho dia tahaka ny hazo oliva maitso ao an-tranon’ Andriamanitra. Matoky ny famindram-pon’ Andriamanitra mandrakizay doria aho.
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God's house; I will trust in the covenant faithfulness of God forever and ever.
9 Hidera Anao mandrakizay aho, fa efa nataonao izany; ary hiandry ny anaranao eo anatrehan’ ny olonao masìna aho, fa tsara izany.
I will give you thanks forever for what you have done. I will wait for your name, because it is good, in the presence of your godly people.
