< Salamo 129 >
“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” Much have they afflicted me from my youth, May Israel now say;
2 Mafy no nampahoriany ahy hatry ny fony aho mbola tanora; Nefa tsy naharesy ahy izy.
Much have they afflicted me from my youth, Yet have they not prevailed against me.
3 Ny mpiasa dia niasa ny lamosiko; Efa nanalava ny vavasany izy.
The ploughers ploughed up my back; They made long their furrows;
4 Marina Jehovah: Efa nanapaka ny famatorana nataon’ ny ratsy fanahy Izy.
But the LORD was righteous; He cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
5 Aoka ho menatra sy hiamboho Izay rehetra mandrafy an’ i Ziona
Let all be driven back with shame Who hate Zion!
6 Ka ho tahaka ny ahitra eo an-tampon-trano. Izay malazo, na dia tsy misy manongotra azy aza;
Let them be as grass upon the house-tops, Which withereth before one pulleth it up;
7 Tsy misy mpijinja mameno tanana Na mpamehy amboara mameno tratra amin’ izany;
With which the reaper filleth not his hand, Nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom!
8 Ka dia tsy hisy mpandalo hanao hoe: Hotahin’ i Jehovah anie ianareo; Eny, ny anaran’ i Jehovah no itsofanay rano anareo.
And they who pass by do not say, “The blessing of the LORD be upon you! We bless you in the name of the LORD!”
