< Isaia 6 >
1 Tamin’ ny taona nahafatesan’ i Ozia mpanjaka no nahitako ny Tompo nipetraka teo ambonin’ ny seza fiandrianana avo sady manerinerina, ary ny ebaneban’ akanjony nahafeno ny tempoly.
In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne; he was high and elevated, and the hem of his robe filled the temple.
2 Nisy serafima nitsangana teo amboniny, samy nanana elatra enina avy; ny roa nanaronany ny tavany, ny roa nanaronany ny tongony, ary ny roa nanidinany.
Above him were the seraphim; each one had six wings; with two each covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3 Ary nanandratra ny feony izy ka nifamaly hoe: Masìna, masìna, masìna Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro; Henika ny voninahiny ny tany rehetra.
Each one called to another and said, “Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of hosts! The whole earth is full of his glory.”
4 Dia nihorohoro ny fanambanin’ ny tokonana noho ny feon’ ireo nanandratra ny feony; ary feno setroka ny trano.
The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voices of those who were crying out, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Dia hoy izaho: Lozako! maty aho! fa lehilahy maloto molotra, sady ato amin’ ny firenena maloto molotra no itoerako, fa ny mpanjaka, dia Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, no efa hitan’ ny masoko.
Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am doomed because I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, because my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh, Yahweh of hosts!”
6 Dia nanidina nanatona ahy ny serafima anankiray nitondra vain’ afo teny an-tànany, izay nalainy tamin’ ny ny tandra avy teo amin’ ny alitara.
Then one of the seraphim flew to me; he had a glowing coal in his hand, that he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.
7 Ary natehiny ny vavako izany, ka hoy izy: Indro, efa nitehika tamin’ ny molotrao io; ka dia afaka ny helokao, ary voavela ny fahotanao.
He touched my mouth with it and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt has been taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
8 Ary nandre ny feon’ ny Tompo aho nanao hoe: Iza no hirahiko, ary iza no handeha ho irakay? Dia hoy izaho: Inty aho, iraho aho.
I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Whom shall I send; who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am; send me.”
9 Ary hoy Izy: Mandehana, ka lazao amin’ ity firenena ity hoe: Mandrenesa mandrakariva ihany ianareo, nefa aza mahalala; Ary mijere mandrakariva ihany ianareo, nefa aza mahafantatra.
He said, “Go and tell this people, 'Listen, but do not understand; see, but do not perceive.'
10 Ataovy adala ny fon’ ity firenena ity, Ary ataovy lalodalovana ny sofiny, Ary ataovy mikimpy ny masony, Fandrao hahita ny masony, Sy handre ny sofiny, Ary hahalala ny fony, Dia hibebaka izy ka ho sitrana.
Make the heart of this people insensitive, and their ears dull, and blind their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and then turn and be healed.”
11 Ary hoy izaho: Tompo ô, mandra-pahoviana anefa? Dia hoy Izy: Mandra-pahafoanan’ ny tanàna, ka tsy hisy mponina, Ary ny trano tsy hisy olona, Ary ny tany ho lao tokoa;
Then I said, “Lord, how long?” He answered, “Until cities crash into ruins and are without inhabitants, and the houses are without people, and the land falls into a desolate waste,
12 Ary Jehovah hampandeha lavitra ny olona, Ka ho be ny lao ao amin’ ny tany;
and until Yahweh has sent the people far away, and the solitude of the land is great.
13 Ary na dia misy ampahafolony aza sisa, Dia mbola hosimbana ihany koa izany Kanefa kosa tahaka ny hazo terebinta sy ny ôka, Izay mbola misy fotony ihany na dia voakapa aza, Dia toy izany no mbola hisiana taranaka masìna ho fotony.
Even if a tenth of the people remain in it, it will again be destroyed; as a terebinth or an oak is cut down and whose trunk remains, the holy seed is in its stump.”
