< Isaia 58 >

1 Ezaho ny fiantsonao, fa aza atao malemy, Asandrato ny feonao ho tahaka ny an’ ny anjomara, ka ambarao amin’ ny oloko ny fahadisoany Ary amin’ ny taranak’ i Jakoba ny fahotany;
“Cry loudly; do not hold back. Lift up your voice like a trumpet. Confront my people with their rebellion, and the house of Jacob with their sins.
2 Nefa Izaho mbola tadiaviny ihany isan’ andro isan’ andro, ary ny hahalala ny lalako no sitrany. Tahaka ny firenena efa nanao ny marina ka tsy nahafoy ny fitsipik’ Andriamaniny no fanontaniany amiko ny fitsipiky ny fahamarinana, sy aniriany ny hihavian’ Andriamanitra.
Yet they seek me daily and delight in the knowledge of my ways, like a nation that practiced righteousness and did not abandon the law of their God. They ask me for righteous judgments; they take pleasure in the thought of God coming near.
3 Nahoana izahay no mifady, hoy izy, nefa tsy hitanao? Ary nahoana izahay no mampahory ny tenanay, nefa tsy ahoanao? Indro fa amin’ ny andro fifadianareo aza dia mbola ny tianareo ihany no ataonareo, ary ny mpiasa rehetra ao aminareo dia ampahorinareo.
'Why have we fasted,' they say, 'but you do not see it? Why have we humbled ourselves, but you do not notice?' Look, on the day of your fast you find your own pleasure and oppress all your laborers.
4 Indro, ny hiady sy ny hifanditra no anton’ ny ifadianareo ary ny hamely amin’ ny totohondrin’ ny faharatsiana; Izao fifadianareo izao dia tsy andrenesana ny feonareo any amin’ ny avo.
Look, you fast to quarrel and fight, and to hit with your fist of wickedness; you do not fast today to make your voice heard above.
5 Moa fifadiana toy izany va no ankasitrahako? Dia andro hampahorian’ ny olona tena? Ny hampiondrika ny lohany tahaka ny zozoro sy ny hamelatra lamba fisaonana rarahan-davenona ho fandriany, moa izany va no ataonao hoe fifadiana sy andro ankasitrahan’ i Jehovah?
Is this really the kind of fast that I would want: A day for anybody to humble himself, for him to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under himself? Do you really call this a fast, a day that pleases Yahweh?
6 Tsy izao va no fifadiana izay ankasitrahako: Dia ny hamaha ny famatoran’ ny faharatsiana, sy hanaboraka ny fehin’ ny zioga, sy handefa ny ampahorina ho afaka, ary hanapatapaka ny zioga rehetra?
Is not this the fast that I choose: To release wicked bonds, to undo the ropes of the yoke, to set the crushed ones free, and to break every yoke?
7 Moa tsy ny hizara ny mofonao ho an’ ny noana va, sy ny hampiantrano ny ory manjenjena, ary mba hanafianao izay hitanao mitanjaka, ka tsy hihirim-belona amin’ ny namanao ianao?
Is it not to break your bread with the hungry and to bring the poor and homeless into your house?” When you see someone naked, you should clothe him; and you should not hide yourself from your own relatives.
8 Fa raha izany, dia hiposaka tahaka ny fahazavan’ ny maraina ny fahazavanao, ary ho tonga faingana ny fahasitrananao; ny fahamarinanao ho loha-lalanao, ary ny voninahitr’ i Jehovah ho vodi-lalanao
Then your light would be broken open like the sunrise, and your healing would quickly sprout up; your righteousness would go before you, and the glory of Yahweh would be your rearguard.
9 Ary amin’ izany dia hiantso ianao, ary Jehovah hamaly; Eny, hanandratra ny feonao ianao, ary Izy hanao hoe: Inty Aho. Raha esorinao tsy ho eo aminao ny zioga sy ny fanondroan’ ny fanondro sy ny fitenenan-dratsy,
Then you would call, and Yahweh would answer; you would cry out for help, and he would say, “Here I am.” If you take away from among yourselves the yoke, the accusing finger, and the speech of wickedness,
10 Ary afoinao ho an’ ny noana izay hanina tianao, ka mahavoky ny ory ianao, dia hiposaka ao amin’ ny maizina ny fahazavanao, ary ny aizim-pitonao ho tahaka ny mitataovovonana;
if you yourselves provide for the hungry and satisfy the need of the distressed; then your light will rise in the darkness, and your darkness will be like the noonday.
11 Ary Jehovah hitari-dalana anao mandrakariva sady hahavoky ny fanahinao ao amin’ ny tany karankaina aza sy hampahatanjaka ny taolanao; dia ho tahaka ny saha vonton-drano ianao sy ho tahaka ny loharanao miboiboika izay tsy mety ritra.
Then Yahweh will lead you continually and satisfy you in regions where there is no water, and he will strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.
12 Ary izay taranakao no hanangana ny efa rava ela, ary ny naorina hatry ny fony fahagola no hamboarinao; ary ianao dia hatao hoe mpamboatra ny rava, mpamelon-dalana honenana amin’ ny tany.
Some of you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up the ruins of many generations; you will be called “The repairer of the wall,” “The restorer of streets to live on.”
13 Raha miaro ny tongotrao amin’ ny Sabata ianao ka tsy manao izay tianao amin’ ny androko masìna, ary manao ny Sabata hoe Fahafinaretana, ary ny nohamasinin’ i Jehovah hoe mendrika hohajaina, ka manome voninahitra azy ary tsy mandeha amin’ ny lalanao, na manao izay tianao, na miteniteny foana,
Suppose that you turn back your feet from traveling on the Sabbath day, and from doing your own pleasure on my holy day. Suppose that you call the Sabbath a delight, and that you call the matters of Yahweh holy and honored. Suppose that you honor the Sabbath by leaving your own business, and by not finding your own pleasure and by not speaking your own words.
14 Dia hiravoravo amin’ i Jehovah ianao, ary hasandratro ao amin’ ny havoana amin’ ny tany ianao, sy hofahanako amin’ ny lovan’ i Jakoba rainao; Fa ny vavan’ i Jehovah no efa niteny.
“Then you will find delight in Yahweh; and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; I will feed you from the inheritance of Jacob your father—for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.”
