< Zabbuli 83 >

1 Oluyimba. Zabbuli ya Asafu. Ayi Katonda, tosirika busirisi n’etebaayo kanyego. Tosirika, Ayi Katonda, n’otobaako ky’okola.
A Song, a Melody of Asaph. O God, Do not keep quiet, Do not hold thy peace, Neither be thou still, O GOD!
2 Wuliriza oluyoogaano oluva mu balabe bo; abo abaagala okukulwanyisa bali mu keetalo.
For lo! thine enemies, are tumultuous, And, they who hate thee, have lifted up the head;
3 Bateesa n’obujagujagu okulumba abantu bo; basalira enkwe abo b’oyagala ennyo.
Against thy people, they craftily devise a secret plot, And conspire against thy treasured ones.
4 Bagamba nti, “Mujje eggwanga lyabwe tulizikirize, n’erinnya lya Isirayiri lireme okujjukirwanga emirembe gyonna!”
They have said—Come, and let us wipe them out from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.
5 Basala olukwe n’omwoyo gumu; beegasse wamu bakulwanyise.
For they have taken counsel with one heart, Against thee—a covenant, would they solemnize—
6 Abantu b’omu weema za Edomu, n’ez’Abayisimayiri, n’eza Mowaabu, n’Abakagale;
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebali ne Amoni, ne Amaleki, n’Abafirisuuti n’abantu b’omu Ttuulo.
Gebal and Ammon, and Amalek, The Philistines, with the dwellers in Tyre;
8 Era ne Asiriya yeegasse nabo, okuyamba bazzukulu ba Lutti.
Even Assyria hath joined herself with them, They have become an arm to the sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Bakoleko nga bwe wakola Midiyaani, era nga bwe wakola Sisera ne Yabini ku mugga Kisoni,
Make them like Midian, like Sisera, like Jabin, by the torrent of Kishon;
10 abaazikiririra mu Endoli ne bafuuka ng’obusa ku ttaka.
They perished at En-dor, They become manure for the soil!
11 Abakungu baabwe bafuule nga Olebu ne Zeebu, n’abalangira baabwe bonna bafuuke nga Zeba ne Zalumunna,
Make them—their nobles—like Oreb and like Zeeb, And, like Zebah and like Zalmunna, all their princes:
12 abaagamba nti, “Ka tutwale amalundiro ga Katonda, tugeefunire.”
Who said—Let us take a possession for ourselves, The pastures of God!
13 Ayi Katonda wange, bafuumuule ng’enfuufu, obasaasaanye ng’ebisusunku mu mbuyaga.
O my God, make them, As whirling [dust], As chaff before a wind;
14 Ng’omuliro bwe gwokya ekibira; n’ennimi z’omuliro ne zikoleeza ensozi,
As a fire burneth a forest, —And as a flame setteth mountains ablaze,
15 naawe bw’otyo bw’oba obawondera n’omuyaga gwo, obatiise ne kibuyaga wo ow’amaanyi.
So, wilt thou pursue them with thy tempest, —And, with thy storm-wind, wilt terrify them:
16 Baswaze nnyo, balyoke banoonyenga erinnya lyo, Ayi Mukama.
Fill thou their faces with dishonour, That men may seek thy Name, O Yahweh;
17 Bajjule ensonyi n’okutya, bazikirire nga baswadde nnyo.
Let them turn pale, and be terrified to futurity, Yea let them blush, and perish:
18 Balyoke bategeere nti, Ggwe wekka, Ayi Mukama, ggw’oyitibwa Yakuwa, gw’obeera waggulu ennyo ng’ofuga ensi yonna.
That men may know that, thou, Whose Name alone is Yahweh, Art Most High over all the earth.
