< Zabbuli 48 >
1 Oluyimba. Zabbuli ya Batabani ba Koola. Mukama mukulu, asaanira okutenderezebwa ennyo mu kibuga kya Katonda waffe, ku lusozi lwe olutukuvu.
A Song, a Psalm, by sons of Korah. Great [is] Jehovah, and praised greatly, In the city of our God — His holy hill.
2 Sayuuni lwe lusozi lwe olulungi olugulumivu, olusanyusa ensi yonna. Ku ntikko Zafoni kwe kuli ekibuga kya Kabaka Omukulu;
Beautiful [for] elevation, A joy of all the land, [is] Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of a great king.
3 Katonda mw’abeera; yeeraze okuba ekigo kye.
God in her high places is known for a tower.
4 Kale laba, bakabaka b’ensi baakuŋŋaana ne bakyolekera bakirumbe;
For, lo, the kings met, they passed by together,
5 bwe baakituukako ne bakyewuunya, ne batya nnyo ne badduka;
They have seen — so they have marvelled, They have been troubled, they were hastened away.
6 nga bakankana, ne bajjula obulumi ng’omukazi alumwa okuzaala.
Trembling hath seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.
7 Wabazikiriza ng’omuyaga ogw’ebuvanjuba bwe guzikiriza ebyombo by’e Talusiisi.
By an east wind Thou shiverest ships of Tarshish.
8 Ebyo bye twawuliranga obuwulizi, kaakano tubirabye mu kibuga kya Mukama ow’Eggye, mu kibuga kya Katonda waffe, kyalinywereza ddala emirembe gyonna.
As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of Jehovah of hosts, In the city of our God, God doth establish her — to the age. (Selah)
9 Ayi Katonda, tufumiitiriza ku kwagala kwo okutaggwaawo nga tuli mu Yeekaalu yo.
We have thought, O God, of Thy kindness, In the midst of Thy temple,
10 Erinnya lyo nga bwe liri ekkulu, Ayi Katonda, bw’otyo bw’otenderezebwa mu nsi yonna. Omukono gwo ogwa ddyo gujjudde obuwanguzi.
As [is] Thy name, O God, so [is] Thy praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness hath filled Thy right hand.
11 Sanyuka gwe Sayuuni, musanyuke mmwe ebibuga bya Yuda; kubanga Katonda alamula bya nsonga.
Rejoice doth Mount Zion, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Thy judgments.
12 Mutambule mu Sayuuni, mukibune; mubale n’ebigo byakyo.
Compass Zion, and go round her, count her towers,
13 Mwekalirize nnyo munda wa bbugwe waakyo n’olusiisira lw’amaggye lwamu lwonna; mulyoke mutegeeze ab’emirembe egiriddawo.
Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that ye recount to a later generation,
14 Kubanga Katonda ono, ye Katonda waffe emirembe gyonna; y’anaatuluŋŋamyanga ennaku zonna okutuusa okufa.
That this God [is] our God — To the age and for ever, He — he doth lead us over death!
