1 Mukama mmwagala, kubanga awulidde eddoboozi lyange n’okwegayirira kwange.
I have loved, because Jehovah heareth My voice, my supplication,
2 Kubanga ateze okutu kwe gye ndi, kyennaavanga mmukoowoola ebbanga lyonna lye ndimala nga nkyali mulamu.
Because He hath inclined His ear to me, And during my days I call.
3 Emiguwa gy’okufa gyansiba, n’okulumwa okw’emagombe kwankwata; ne nzijula ennaku nnyingi n’okutya. (Sheol h7585)
Compassed me have cords of death, And straits of Sheol have found me, Distress and sorrow I find. (Sheol h7585)
4 Ne ndyoka nkoowoola erinnya lya Mukama nti, “Ayi Mukama, ndokola.”
And in the name of Jehovah I call: I pray Thee, O Jehovah, deliver my soul,
5 Mukama wa kisa, era mutuukirivu; Katonda waffe ajjudde okusaasira.
Gracious [is] Jehovah, and righteous, Yea, our God [is] merciful,
6 Mukama alabirira abantu abaabulijjo; bwe nnali mu buzibu obunene, n’andokola.
A preserver of the simple [is] Jehovah, I was low, and to me He giveth salvation.
7 Wummula ggwe emmeeme yange, kubanga Mukama abadde mulungi gy’oli.
Turn back, O my soul, to thy rest, For Jehovah hath conferred benefits on thee.
8 Kubanga ggwe, Ayi Mukama, owonyezza omwoyo gwange okufa, n’amaaso gange ogawonyezza okukaaba; n’ebigere byange n’obiwonya okwesittala,
For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, my feet from overthrowing.
9 ndyoke ntambulirenga mu maaso ga Mukama mu nsi ey’abalamu.
I walk habitually before Jehovah In the lands of the living.
10 Nakkiriza kyennava njogera nti, “Numizibbwa nnyo.”
I have believed, for I speak, I — I have been afflicted greatly.
11 Ne njogera nga nterebuse nti, “Abantu bonna baliraba.”
I said in my haste, 'Every man [is] a liar.'
12 Mukama ndimusasula ntya olw’ebirungi bye ebingi bwe bityo by’ankoledde?
What do I return to Jehovah? All His benefits [are] upon me.
13 Nditoola ekikompe eky’obulokozi, ne nkoowoola erinnya lya Mukama.
The cup of salvation I lift up, And in the name of Jehovah I call.
14 Ndituukiriza obweyamo bwange eri Mukama, mu maaso g’abantu be bonna.
My vows to Jehovah let me complete, I pray you, before all His people.
15 Okufa kw’abatukuvu ba Mukama kwa muwendo nnyo eri Mukama.
Precious in the eyes of Jehovah [is] the death for His saints.
16 Ayi Mukama, onsumuluddeko ebyansiba n’onfuula wa ddembe, nange nnaakuweerezanga ennaku zonna.
Cause [it] to come, O Jehovah, for I [am] Thy servant. I [am] Thy servant, son of Thy handmaid, Thou hast opened my bonds.
17 Ndiwaayo ekiweebwayo eky’okwebaza, ne nkoowoola erinnya lya Mukama.
To Thee I sacrifice a sacrifice of thanks, And in the name of Jehovah I call.
18 Ndituukiriza obweyamo bwange eri Mukama, mu maaso g’abantu be bonna,
My vows to Jehovah let me complete, I pray you, before all His people,
19 mu mpya z’ennyumba ya Mukama; wakati wo, ggwe Yerusaalemi. Mutendereze Mukama.
In the courts of the house of Jehovah, In thy midst, O Jerusalem, praise ye Jah!
