2 Basessaloniika 1

1 Nze Pawulo ne Sirwano ne Timoseewo tuwandiikira Ekkanisa ey’Abasessaloniika, abantu ba Katonda Kitaffe ne Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo,

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 ekisa n’emirembe ebiva eri Katonda Kitaffe ne Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo, bibeerenga nammwe.

Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Kitugwanidde okwebazanga Katonda bulijjo ku lwammwe abooluganda, nga bwe kisaana, kubanga okukkiriza kwammwe kweyongedde nnyo okukula, awamu n’okwagalana kwammwe mwekka na mwekka,

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all towards each other aboundeth;

4 ekyo ne kituleetera ffe ffennyini okubeenyumiririzaamu mu kkanisa za Katonda olw’okugumiikiriza kwammwe n’okukkiriza kwammwe wakati mu kuyigganyizibwa kwammwe kwonna awamu n’okubonaabona bye mugumiikiriza.

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

5 Ako kabonero akalaga nti Katonda mutuukirivu mu kulamula kwe, mmwe mulyoke musaanire obwakabaka bwa Katonda, bwe mubonaabonera,

[Which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

6 ate ng’abo ababanyigiriza alibabonereza nga bwe kibagwanidde.

Seeing [it is] a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

7 Era nammwe abanyigirizibwa muliweerwa wamu naffe ekiwummulo, mu kubikkulirwa kwa Mukama waffe Yesu bw’aliva mu ggulu, ne bamalayika be ab’amaanyi,

And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 mu muliro ogwaka, n’abonereza abo abatamanyi Katonda era abajeemera Enjiri ya Mukama waffe Yesu.

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Abo baliweebwa ekibonerezo kya kuzikirira emirembe n’emirembe, nga baawukanyiziddwa ne Mukama waffe, n’ekitiibwa ky’amaanyi ge. (aiōnios g166)

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (aiōnios g166)

10 Bw’alijja okugulumizibwa mu batukuvu be ku lunaku luli abo bonna abamukkiriza balyewuunya kubanga mwakkiriza bye twabategeeza ku ye.

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired by all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

11 Kyetuva tubasabira bulijjo, Katonda waffe abasaanyize okuyitibwa kwammwe. Abawe amaanyi mutuukirize ebirungi byonna bye mukola, na buli mulimu ogw’okukkiriza mu maanyi,

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of [this] calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of [his] goodness, and the work of faith with power:

12 erinnya lya Mukama waffe Yesu liryoke ligulumizibwe mu mmwe, nammwe muweebwe ekitiibwa mu ye, ng’ekisa kya Katonda waffe ne Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo bwe kiri.

That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
