1 Wuta na buku ya mokambi ya bayembi. Nzembo ya Davidi mpo na kokanisa misala ya Nzambe. Nzambe, yaka noki mpo na kangola ngai! Yawe, yaka noki mpo na kosunga ngai!

“To the chief musician, by David, to bring to remembrance.” O God, [arise] to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me.

2 Tika ete bato oyo balukaka kufa na ngai bakufa soni mpe basambwa! Tika ete bato oyo bazelaka libebi na ngai bazonga sima mpe bayokisama soni!

Let those that seek after my life be made ashamed and put to the blush: let those that desire my unhappiness be turned backward and put to confusion.

3 Tika ete bato oyo balobaka na ngai: « Ah! Ah! » bazonga mpo na soni!

Let them be turned backward in consequence of their shame, that say, Aha, aha.

4 Tika ete bato nyonso oyo balukaka Yo batonda na esengo mpe basepela kati na Yo! Tika ete ba-oyo balingaka lobiko na Yo balobaka tango nyonso: « Nzambe azali monene! »

Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, God is great.

5 Mpo ete nazali mobola mpe moto akelela, Nzambe, yaka noki mpo na kosunga ngai. Yawe, ozali Lisungi mpe Mokangoli na ngai, kowumela te!

But I am poor and needy, O God: come hastily unto me; my help and my deliverer art thou: O Lord, do not delay.
