1 Bandeko, bino moko boyebi malamu ete koya na biso epai na bino ezalaki ya pamba te.
For ye yourselves know, brethren, that our coming among you hath not been in vain;
2 Boyebi lisusu ete, sima na biso konyokwama mpe kofingama kati na Filipi, toteyaki bino, na lisungi ya Nzambe na biso mpe na molende nyonso, Sango Malamu na Ye kati na bitumba makasi.
but after we had suffered before and had been shamefully treated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict.
3 Pamba te, soki tosengaka na bato ete bandimela Nzambe, ezali te mpo ete tozali kati na libunga to totondi na makanisi ya mbindo to mpe tolukaka kokosa bato.
For our teaching is not from error, nor from impurity, nor in guile;
4 Kasi ezali mpo ete Nzambe amekaki biso mpe amonaki ete tobongi mpo na kopesamela mokumba ya koteya Sango Malamu. Yango wana mpe toteyaka te mpo na kosepelisa bato, kasi mpo na kosepelisa Nzambe oyo ayebi mozindo ya mitema na biso.
but as we have been regarded by God as worthy to be intrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, who trieth our hearts.
5 Boyebi malamu ete tosalelaki maloba ya sukali te mpe totindikamaki te na posa ya konduka mbongo. Na tina na likambo oyo, Nzambe azali penza Motatoli na biso.
For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness, God is witness;
6 Tolukaki te lokumu kowuta na bato, ezala epai na bino to epai ya bato mosusu,
nor from men sought we glory, either from you, or from others; though we might have used authority as apostles of Christ.
7 atako, lokola bantoma ya Klisto, tokokaki kosenga bino na makasi ete bosunga biso; kasi tozalaki lokola bana mike kati na bino. Ndenge mama abatelaka bana na ye,
But we were gentle in the midst of you, even as a nurse cherisheth her own children;
8 ndenge wana mpe, na bolingo monene oyo tozali na yango mpo na bino, tosepelaki kaka te kopesa bino Sango Malamu ya Nzambe, kasi tosepelaki mpe kopesa bino bomoi na biso, pamba te bokomaki motuya makasi na miso na biso.
so having a strong affection for you, we were willing to impart to you, not only the gospel of God, but also our own souls, because ye became dear to us.
9 Bandeko na ngai, bokanisa ndenge nini tomonaki pasi mpe tosalaki mosala makasi; butu mpe moyi, tozalaki kosala, pamba te toboyaki kozala mokumba epai ya moto ata moko kati na bino, wana toteyaki bino Sango Malamu ya Nzambe.
For ye remember, brethren, our labor and toil, how laboring night and day, that we might not be burdensome to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.
10 Bino moko bozali batatoli, Nzambe mpe azali Motatoli, ete totambolaki na bosantu, na bosembo mpe na kozanga pamela, na miso na bino oyo bozali kondima.
Ye are witnesses, and so is God, how holily, and righteously, and unblamably we conducted ourselves toward you that believe;
11 Boyebi mpe ete tosalaki, epai ya moko na moko kati na bino, ndenge penza tata asalaka mpo na bana na ye:
as ye know how we exhorted, and encouraged, and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,
12 tozalaki koteya, kolendisa mpe kotindika bino na kotambola na lolenge oyo ebongi liboso ya Nzambe oyo azali kobenga bino ete bokota kati na Bokonzi mpe nkembo na Ye.
that ye should walk in a manner worthy of God, who is calling you to his own kingdom and glory.
13 Mpe tala mpo na nini tozongisaka tango nyonso matondi epai ya Nzambe: tango boyambaki Liloba na Nzambe, oyo toteyaki bino, bondimaki yango te lokola liloba oyo ewuti epai ya bato, kasi lokola penza Liloba na Nzambe, oyo ezali kosala kati na bino oyo bozali na kondima.
And for this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when ye received the word of God which ye heard from us, ye received it not as the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also is powerfully working in you that believe.
14 Bandeko, bino mpe bokomaki kolanda ndakisa ya Mangomba oyo, kati na Yuda, ezali ya Nzambe mpe ezali kati na Yesu-Klisto, pamba te bandeko na bino ya ekolo moko banyokolaki bino ndenge Bayuda banyokolaki Mangomba ya Yuda.
For ye, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judaea in Christ Jesus; for ye also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, as they have from the Jews;
15 Ezali bango Bayuda nde babomaki Nkolo Yesu mpe basakoli; ezali mpe kaka bango nde banyokolaki biso. Basepelisaka Nzambe te mpe bazali banguna ya bato nyonso;
who both killed the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and drove us out, and please not God, and set themselves against all men,
16 bazali kokanga biso nzela mpo ete toteya Bapagano te, noki te bakobika. Na ndenge wana, bazali kaka kofulukisa masumu na bango mpe, suka na suka, kanda ya Nzambe ekokweyela bango.
hindering us from speaking to the gentiles that they may be saved, —to fill up their sins always! But the wrath is come upon them to the end.
17 Bandeko, awa tokabwanaki na bino mpo na mwa tango moke, na nzoto kasi na makanisi te, tosalaki makasi mpo na komona bino, pamba te tozalaki na posa na bino makasi.
But we, brethren, having been bereaved of you for a short time, separated in body, not in heart, used the greater endeavors with much earnestness to see your face.
18 Yango wana, tolukaki koya epai na bino. Ngai Polo, namekaki yango mbala na mbala, kasi Satana akangaki nzela na biso.
Wherefore we purposed to come to you, that is, I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
19 Banani bazali penza elikya na biso, esengo na biso to motole na biso, oyo tokomikumisa mpo na yango na miso ya Yesu-Klisto, Nkolo na biso, na mokolo oyo akoya? Boni, ezali bino te?
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Is it not even ye, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming?
20 Solo, bino nde bozali nkembo mpe esengo na biso.
For ye are our glory and joy.
