quoniam non derelinques animam meam in inferno neque dabis Sanctum tuum videre corruptionem (Hadēs )
that thou wilt not leave my soul in the mansion of the dead, nor permit that Holy One of thine to see corruption.
he, foreseeing this, spake of the resurrection of the Messiah, that his soul should not be left in the mansion of the dead, and that his flesh should not see corruption. (Hadēs )
quem oportet caelum quidem suscipere usque in tempora restitutionis omnium quae locutus est Deus per os sanctorum suorum a saeculo prophetarum (aiōn )
whom the heaven indeed must receive, until the times of restoration of all things, which God hath spoken of by the mouth of all his holy prophets from the beginning of the world. (aiōn )
tunc constanter Paulus et Barnabas dixerunt vobis oportebat primum loqui verbum Dei sed quoniam repellitis illud et indignos vos iudicastis aeternae vitae ecce convertimur ad gentes (aiōnios )
Then Paul and Barnabas speaking with undaunted boldness, said, It was necessary that the word of God should be first spoken unto you: but since ye have thrust it from you, and judged yourselves not worthy of eternal life, lo! we turn to the Gentiles.
Now when the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord: and they believed, even as many as were ordained to life eternal. (aiōnios )
notum a saeculo est Domino opus suum (aiōn )
Known unto God from the beginning are all his works.
For from the creation of the world his invisible perfections, discoverable in the works that are made, are clearly seen, even his eternal power and deity; so that they are inexcusable: (aïdios )
who perverted the truth of God by falsehood, and worshipped and paid divine honours to the thing created instead of the Creator, who is blessed for evermore. Amen.
to those who, in the patient practice of good works, seek glory and honour and immortality―eternal life.
that as sin had reigned by death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto life eternal by Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios )
nunc vero liberati a peccato servi autem facti Deo habetis fructum vestrum in sanctificationem finem vero vitam aeternam (aiōnios )
But now being set at liberty from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and at the end life eternal. (aiōnios )
stipendia enim peccati mors gratia autem Dei vita aeterna in Christo Iesu Domino nostro (aiōnios )
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is life eternal in Jesus Christ our Lord.
of whom are the fathers, and from whom as respecting the flesh Christ sprung, who is over all, the blessed God for evermore. Amen.
or, Who shall descend into the abyss?” (that is, to bring Christ up again from the dead.) (Abyssos )
For God hath shut up all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
Because by him, and through him, and for him, are all things, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renovation of your mind, that you may prove by experience what is the will of God, that is good, acceptable, and perfect.
Now to him that is able to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, agreeable to the revelation of the mystery; which was concealed from all former ages, (aiōnios )
but is now made manifest, and by the prophetical scriptures, according to the commandment of the eternal God, notified to all the Gentiles to bring them to the obedience of faith: (aiōnios )
to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Written to the Romans, and sent by Phoebe, a deaconess of the church in Cenchrea. (aiōn )
ubi sapiens ubi scriba ubi conquisitor huius saeculi nonne stultam fecit Deus sapientiam huius mundi (aiōn )
Where is the sophist? where is the scribe? where is the inquisitive searcher after this world’s wisdom? hath not God turned into folly the wisdom of this world?
But we speak wisdom among the perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are destroying themselves: (aiōn )
but we speak the wisdom of God, which had been hid in mystery, which God predestined before the worlds were, for our glory: (aiōn )
which none of the rulers of this world have known: for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinketh himself a wise man in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. (aiōn )
quapropter si esca scandalizat fratrem meum non manducabo carnem in aeternum ne fratrem meum scandalizem (aiōn )
Wherefore if meat give occasion of offence to my brother, I will in no wise eat meat for ever, that I give no cause of offence to my brother.
Now all these things happened unto them as examples, but they are written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages are come. (aiōn )
ubi est mors victoria tua ubi est mors stimulus tuus (Hadēs )
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
among whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dart its bright beams upon them.
For our momentary light affliction worketh for us a transcendently far more exceeding eternal weight of glory; (aiōnios )
whilst we direct our aim not to the things which are seen, but to the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things that are not seen are eternal.
FOR we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle should be taken down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
as it is written, “He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the poor, his righteousness abideth for ever.”
The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.
who gave himself for our sins, that he might pluck us out of this present wicked world, according to the will of God and our Father: (aiōn )
cui est gloria in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
For he that soweth unto his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption, and he that soweth to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
far above all principality, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; (aiōn )
in quibus aliquando ambulastis secundum saeculum mundi huius secundum principem potestatis aeris huius spiritus qui nunc operatur in filios diffidentiae (aiōn )
wherein in times past ye walked after the fashion of this world, after the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now worketh with energy in the children of disobedience: (aiōn )
ut ostenderet in saeculis supervenientibus abundantes divitias gratiae suae in bonitate super nos in Christo Iesu (aiōn )
That he might shew forth in the ages to come the transcendent riches of his grace, in the kindness shewed to us in Christ Jesus.
and to make all men see what the communication of that mystery means, which was hid from the beginning in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (aiōn )
secundum praefinitionem saeculorum quam fecit in Christo Iesu Domino nostro (aiōn )
according to the purpose from everlasting, which he formed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (aiōn )
ipsi gloria in ecclesia et in Christo Iesu in omnes generationes saeculi saeculorum amen (aiōn )
to him be glory in the church, in Christ Jesus, unto all generations for ever and ever. Amen.
For our conflict is not merely against flesh and blood, but against principalities, and against powers, and against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against wicked spirits in the aerial regions.
Now to God, even our Father, be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
the mystery which was hid from ages and from generations, but is now unveiled to his saints; (aiōn )
qui poenas dabunt in interitu aeternas a facie Domini et a gloria virtutis eius (aiōnios )
who shall receive punishment, even eternal perdition, from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power: (aiōnios )
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God, and Father, who hath loved us, and given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace, (aiōnios )
But for this end obtained I mercy, that in me, the chief, Jesus Christ might shew forth all long-suffering, for a pattern to those who should after believe in him unto eternal life. (aiōnios )
regi autem saeculorum inmortali invisibili soli Deo honor et gloria in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
Now to the king eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
certa bonum certamen fidei adprehende vitam aeternam in qua vocatus es et confessus bonam confessionem coram multis testibus (aiōnios )
Strain every nerve in the noble conflict of faith, lay fast hold on eternal life, unto which also thou hast been called, and hast confessed the good confession before many witnesses.
who alone possesseth immortality, inhabiting light inaccessible, whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and glory eternal. Amen.
Charge the rich in this world not to be lifted up with pride, nor to trust on the stability of wealth, but on the living God, who giveth us richly all things for our enjoyment; (aiōn )
who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before time had a beginning; (aiōnios )
Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Jesus Christ with eternal glory.
for Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is gone unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia; Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn )
liberabit me Dominus ab omni opere malo et salvum faciet in regnum suum caeleste cui gloria in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and preserve me for his celestial kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
in hope of life eternal, which God, who cannot lie, hath promised before time had a being; (aiōnios )
instructing us, that denying ungodliness and worldly affections, we should live soberly and righteously, and godly in the present day; (aiōn )
ut iustificati gratia ipsius heredes simus secundum spem vitae aeternae (aiōnios )
that justified by his grace, we might become heirs in hope of eternal life.
For to this end perhaps was he separated from thee for a season, that thou mightest receive him for ever; (aiōnios )
in these last days hath spoken to us by a Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (aiōn )
But to the Son, “Thy throne, O God, is unto eternity; a sceptre of rectitude is the sceptre of thy kingdom. (aiōn )
quemadmodum et in alio dicit tu es sacerdos in aeternum secundum ordinem Melchisedech (aiōn )
As he saith also in another passage, “Thou art priest forever after the order of Melchisedec;” (aiōn )
and complete himself, he became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey him; (aiōnios )
of the doctrine of ablutions, and of imposition of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios )
gustaverunt nihilominus bonum Dei verbum virtutesque saeculi venturi (aiōn )
and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, (aiōn )
ubi praecursor pro nobis introiit Iesus secundum ordinem Melchisedech pontifex factus in aeternum (aiōn )
into which the forerunner for us is entered, even Jesus, made after the order of Melchisedec an high-priest for ever. (aiōn )
contestatur enim quoniam tu es sacerdos in aeternum secundum ordinem Melchisedech (aiōn )
For the testimony is, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
(for they indeed were made priests without an oath; but he with an oath, by him who said unto him, “The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:”) (aiōn )
but this person, because he abideth for ever, hath a priesthood that passeth not over to another.
For the law constitutes men high-priests, though they have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which is since the law, constitutes the Son, unto eternity completely perfect.
nor by the blood of goats and of calves, but by his own blood, he entered once for all into the holies, having obtained eternal redemption.
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who, by the eternal Spirit, offered up himself in sacrifice without blemish to God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, that we may perform divine service to the living God?
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that, death being suffered for the redemption of transgressions committed against the first testament, they who are called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance.
(for in that case he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world: ) but now once for all at the consummation of the ages hath he been manifested for the abolishing sin by the sacrifice of himself.
By faith we understand that the worlds were exactly formed by the word of God, so that the visible objects were not made out of things which now appear. (aiōn )
Iesus Christus heri et hodie ipse et in saecula (aiōn )
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, to-day, and for ever.
Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great pastor of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting testament, (aiōnios )
make you fit for every good work to do his will, producing in you that which is acceptable in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory unto the everlasting ages. Amen.
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: in such manner is the tongue placed among our members, that it defileth all the body, and setteth on fire the circle of nature; and is set on fire of hell. (Geenna )
born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the quickening word of God, and which abideth for ever.
but the word of the Lord abideth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
If any man speak, let it be agreeably to the oracles of God; if any man act as a deacon, let it be from the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory and might for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Deus autem omnis gratiae qui vocavit nos in aeternam suam gloriam in Christo Iesu modicum passos ipse perficiet confirmabit solidabit (aiōnios )
But the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered a little while, himself perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios )
ipsi imperium in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
To him be glory and might for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
sic enim abundanter ministrabitur vobis introitus in aeternum regnum Domini nostri et salvatoris Iesu Christi (aiōnios )
but an entrance will thus be richly afforded you into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
For if God spared not the angels when they sinned, but casting them bound in chains of darkness into hell, delivered them to be kept fast until the judgment; (Tartaroō )
crescite vero in gratia et in cognitione Domini nostri et salvatoris Iesu Christi ipsi gloria et nunc et in die aeternitatis amen (aiōn )
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and unto the day of eternity. Amen.
(for the life was manifested, and we have beheld it, and bear testimony, and declare unto you that life eternal, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us; ) (aiōnios )
And the world is passing away, and the lust thereof, but he who doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
And this is the promise which he hath promised to us, even life eternal.
Every one who hateth his brother is a murderer; and ye know that no murderer hath life eternal abiding in him.
And this is the testimony, that God hath given life eternal to us; and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios )
haec scripsi vobis ut sciatis quoniam vitam habetis aeternam qui creditis in nomine Filii Dei (aiōnios )
These things have I written to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have life eternal, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
But we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given to us understanding, that we might know the true God; and we are in him that is true, in his Son Jesus the Messiah. HE is the true God, and the life eternal.
because of the truth which abideth in us, and shall be with us for ever: (aiōn )
angelos vero qui non servaverunt suum principatum sed dereliquerunt suum domicilium in iudicium magni diei vinculis aeternis sub caligine reservavit (aïdios )
And the angels who preserved not their own primitive state, but deserted their proper abode, hath he reserved in everlasting chains under darkness, unto the judgment of the great day.
As Sodom and Gomorrha and the surrounding cities, in like manner with them abandoned to whoredom, and going after other flesh, are set forth an example, suffering the judicial punishment of eternal fire. (aiōnios )
fluctus feri maris despumantes suas confusiones sidera errantia quibus procella tenebrarum in aeternum servata est (aiōn )
raging billows of the sea foaming out their own infamies; stars wandering from their courses, for whom the blackness of darkness for ever is reserved. (aiōn )
ipsos vos in dilectione Dei servate (aiōnios )
preserve yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, might and dominion, both now and unto all eternity. Amen. (aiōn )
et fecit nostrum regnum sacerdotes Deo et Patri suo ipsi gloria et imperium in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
and made us kings and priests to his God and Father; to him be glory and might for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
et vivus et fui mortuus et ecce sum vivens in saecula saeculorum et habeo claves mortis et inferni (aiōn , Hadēs )
and I am the living one, though I was dead and lo! I am alive for evermore, Amen; and I hold the keys of hell and of death.
And when these living beings give glory, and honour, and thanksgiving to him that sitteth on the throne, to him who liveth for ever and ever, (aiōn )
procident viginti quattuor seniores ante sedentem in throno et adorabunt viventem in saecula saeculorum et mittent coronas suas ante thronum dicentes (aiōn )
the four and twenty presbyters prostrate themselves before him who is Seated on the throne, and worship him who liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, (aiōn )
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and those who are on the sea, and all things which are therein, heard I, saying, To him who is seated on the throne, and to the lamb, be blessing, and honour, and glory, and might for ever and ever.
And I looked, and lo! a pale coloured horse, and one sat on it, whose name was Death, and the grave followed after him: and power was given to them to kill the fourth part of the earth with the sword, and with famine, and with death, and with the wild beasts of the earth. (Hadēs )
dicentes amen benedictio et claritas et sapientia et gratiarum actio et honor et virtus et fortitudo Deo nostro in saecula saeculorum amen (aiōn )
