And Jesus said to them: The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: (aiōn )
But they that shall be accounted worthy of that world, and of the resurrection from the dead, shall neither be married, nor take wives.
That whosoever believeth in him, may not perish; but may have life everlasting.
For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.
He that believeth in the Son, hath life everlasting; but he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
but he that shall drink of the water that I will give him, shall not thirst for ever: But the water that I will give him, shall become in him a fountain of water, springing up into life everlasting.
And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life everlasting: that both he that soweth, and he that reapeth, may rejoice together. (aiōnios )
Amen, amen dico vobis, quia qui verbum meum audit, et credit ei qui misit me, habet vitam æternam, et in judicium non venit, sed transiit a morte in vitam. (aiōnios )
Amen, amen I say unto you, that he who heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath life everlasting; and cometh not into judgment, but is passed from death to life.
Search the scriptures, for you think in them to have life everlasting; and the same are they that give testimony of me.
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that which endureth unto life everlasting, which the Son of man will give you. For him hath God, the Father, sealed.
And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth in him, may have life everlasting, and I will raise him up in the last day. (aiōnios )
Amen, amen dico vobis: qui credit in me, habet vitam æternam. (aiōnios )
Amen, amen I say unto you: He that believeth in me, hath everlasting life.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, for the life of the world.
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.
This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever. (aiōn )
Respondit ergo ei Simon Petrus: Domine, ad quem ibimus? verba vitæ æternæ habes: (aiōnios )
And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
Now the servant abideth not in the house for ever; but the son abideth for ever. (aiōn )
Amen, amen dico vobis: si quis sermonem meum servaverit, mortem non videbit in æternum. (aiōn )
Amen, amen I say to you: If any man keep my word, he shall not see death for ever.
The Jews therefore said: Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest: If any man keep my word, he shall not taste death for ever. (aiōn )
A sæculo non est auditum quia quis aperuit oculos cæci nati. (aiōn )
From the beginning of the world it hath not been heard, that any man hath opened the eyes of one born blind.
And I give them life everlasting; and they shall not perish for ever, and no man shall pluck them out of my hand.
And every one that liveth, and believeth in me, shall not die for ever. Believest thou this?
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, keepeth it unto life eternal. (aiōnios )
Respondit ei turba: Nos audivimus ex lege, quia Christus manet in æternum: et quomodo tu dicis: Oportet exaltari Filium hominis? quis est iste Filius hominis? (aiōn )
The multitude answered him: We have heard out of the law, that Christ abideth for ever; and how sayest thou: The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man? (aiōn )
Et scio quia mandatum ejus vita æterna est: quæ ergo ego loquor, sicut dixit mihi Pater, sic loquor. (aiōnios )
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting. The things therefore that I speak, even as the Father said unto me, so do I speak. (aiōnios )
Dicit ei Petrus: Non lavabis mihi pedes in æternum. Respondit ei Jesus: Si non lavero te, non habebis partem mecum. (aiōn )
Peter saith to him: Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him: If I wash thee not, thou shalt have no part with me.
And I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever. (aiōn )
sicut dedisti ei potestatem omnis carnis, ut omne, quod dedisti ei, det eis vitam æternam. (aiōnios )
As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all whom thou hast given him.
Now this is eternal life: That they may know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.
Foreseeing this, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ. For neither was he left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs )
quem oportet quidem cælum suscipere usque in tempora restitutionis omnium quæ locutus est Deus per os sanctorum suorum a sæculo prophetarum. (aiōn )
Whom heaven indeed must receive, until the times of the restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets, from the beginning of the world.
Then Paul and Barnabas said boldly: To you it behoved us first to speak the word of God: but because you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold we turn to the Gentiles.
And the Gentiles hearing it, were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to life everlasting, believed. (aiōnios )
Notum a sæculo est Domino opus suum. (aiōn )
To the Lord was his own work known from the beginning of the world.
For the invisible things of him, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made; his eternal power also, and divinity: so that they are inexcusable.
Amen. (aiōn )
Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
To them indeed, who according to patience in good work, seek glory and honour and incorruption, eternal life: (aiōnios )
That as sin hath reigned to death; so also grace might reign by justice unto life everlasting, through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios )
Nunc vero liberati a peccato, servi autem facti Deo, habetis fructum vestrum in sanctificationem, finem vero vitam æternam. (aiōnios )
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end life everlasting. (aiōnios )
Stipendia enim peccati, mors. Gratia autem Dei, vita æterna, in Christo Jesu Domino nostro. (aiōnios )
For the wages of sin is death. But the grace of God, life everlasting, in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen. (aiōn )
Whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ, according to the flesh, who is over all things, God blessed for ever. Amen.
(Abyssos )
Or who shall descend into the deep? that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead. (Abyssos )
For God hath concluded all in unbelief, that he may have mercy on all.
Amen. (aiōn )
For of him, and by him, and in him, are all things: to him be glory for ever. Amen.
And be not conformed to this world; but be reformed in the newness of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect will of God.
Now to him that is able to establish you, according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret from eternity, (aiōnios )
(Which now is made manifest by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the precept of the eternal God, for the obedience of faith, ) known among all nations; (aiōnios )
Amen. (aiōn )
To God the only wise, through Jesus Christ, to whom be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Ubi sapiens? ubi scriba? ubi conquisitor hujus sæculi? Nonne stultam fecit Deus sapientiam hujus mundi? (aiōn )
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
Howbeit we speak wisdom among the perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, neither of the princes of this world that come to nought; (aiōn )
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, a wisdom which is hidden, which God ordained before the world, unto our glory: (aiōn )
Which none of the princes of this world knew; for if they had known it, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.
Let no man deceive himself: if any man among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. (aiōn )
Quapropter si esca scandalizat fratrem meum, non manducabo carnem in æternum, ne fratrem meum scandalizem. (aiōn )
Wherefore, if meat scandalize my brother, I will never eat flesh, lest I should scandalize my brother.
Now all these things happened to them in figure: and they are written for our correction, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (aiōn )
Ubi est mors victoria tua? ubi est mors stimulus tuus? (Hadēs )
O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine unto them.
For that which is at present momentary and light of our tribulation, worketh for us above measure exceedingly an eternal weight of glory.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen, are temporal; but the things which are not seen, are eternal.
For we know, if our earthly house of this habitation be dissolved, that we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in heaven. (aiōnios )
sicut scriptum est: Dispersit, dedit pauperibus: justitia ejus manet in sæculum sæculi. (aiōn )
As it is written: He hath dispersed abroad, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever.
The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed for ever, knoweth that I lie not.
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present wicked world, according to the will of God and our Father: (aiōn )
cui est gloria in sæcula sæculorum. Amen. (aiōn )
To whom is glory for ever and ever. Amen.
For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting.
Above all principality, and power, and virtue, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. (aiōn )
in quibus aliquando ambulastis secundum sæculum mundi hujus, secundum principem potestatis aëris hujus, spiritus, qui nunc operatur in filios diffidentiæ, (aiōn )
Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of this air, of the spirit that now worketh on the children of unbelief: (aiōn )
ut ostenderet in sæculis supervenientibus abundantes divitias gratiæ suæ, in bonitate super nos in Christo Jesu. (aiōn )
That he might shew in the ages to come the abundant riches of his grace, in his bounty towards us in Christ Jesus.
And to enlighten all men, that they may see what is the dispensation of the mystery which hath been hidden from eternity in God, who created all things: (aiōn )
secundum præfinitionem sæculorum, quam fecit in Christo Jesu Domino nostro: (aiōn )
According to the eternal purpose, which he made, in Christ Jesus our Lord: (aiōn )
ipsi gloria in Ecclesia, et in Christo Jesu, in omnes generationes sæculi sæculorum. Amen. (aiōn )
To him be glory in the church, and in Christ Jesus unto all generations, world without end. Amen.
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.
Amen. (aiōn )
Now to God and our Father be glory world without end. Amen.
The mystery which hath been hidden from ages and generations, but now is manifested to his saints, (aiōn )
qui pœnas dabunt in interitu æternas a facie Domini, et a gloria virtutis ejus: (aiōnios )
Who shall suffer eternal punishment in destruction, from the face of the Lord, and from the glory of his power: (aiōnios )
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace, (aiōnios )
But for this cause have I obtained mercy: that in me first Christ Jesus might shew forth all patience, for the information of them that shall believe in him unto life everlasting.
Amen. (aiōn )
Now to the king of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Certa bonum certamen fidei, apprehende vitam æternam, in qua vocatus es, et confessus bonam confessionem coram multis testibus. (aiōnios )
Fight the good fight of faith: lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art called, and hast confessed a good confession before many witnesses.
Amen. (aiōnios )
Who only hath immortality, and inhabiteth light inaccessible, whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and empire everlasting. Amen.
Charge the rich of this world not to be highminded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, (who giveth us abundantly all things to enjoy, ) (aiōn )
Who hath delivered us and called us by his holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the times of the world.
Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with heavenly glory.
For Demas hath left me, loving this world, and is gone to Thessalonica: Crescens into Galatia, Titus into Dalmatia. (aiōn )
Liberavit me Dominus ab omni opere malo: et salvum faciet in regnum suum cæleste, cui gloria in sæcula sæculorum. Amen. (aiōn )
The Lord hath delivered me from every evil work: and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Unto the hope of life everlasting, which God, who lieth not, hath promised before the times of the world: (aiōnios )
Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and justly, and godly in this world, (aiōn )
ut justificati gratia ipsius, hæredes simus secundum spem vitæ æternæ. (aiōnios )
That, being justified by his grace, we may be heirs, according to hope of life everlasting.
For perhaps he therefore departed for a season from thee, that thou mightest receive him again for ever: (aiōnios )
In these days hath spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world. (aiōn )
Ad Filium autem: Thronus tuus Deus in sæculum sæculi: virga æquitatis, virga regni tui. (aiōn )
But to the Son: Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of justice is the sceptre of thy kingdom. (aiōn )
Quemadmodum et in alio loco dicit: Tu es sacerdos in æternum, secundum ordinem Melchisedech. (aiōn )
As he saith also in another place: Thou art a priest for ever, according to the order of Melchisedech.
And being consummated, he became, to all that obey him, the cause of eternal salvation.
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and imposition of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios )
gustaverunt nihilominus bonum Dei verbum, virtutesque sæculi venturi, (aiōn )
Have moreover tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, (aiōn )
ubi præcursor pro nobis introivit Jesus, secundum ordinem Melchisedech pontifex factus in æternum. (aiōn )
Where the forerunner Jesus is entered for us, made a high priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech. (aiōn )
Contestatur enim: Quoniam tu es sacerdos in æternum, secundum ordinem Melchisedech. (aiōn )
For he testifieth: Thou art a priest for ever, according to the order of Melchisedech.
But this with an oath, by him that said unto him: The Lord hath sworn, and he will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever.)
But this, for that he continueth for ever, hath an everlasting priesthood, (aiōn )
For the law maketh men priests, who have infirmity: but the word of the oath, which was since the law, the Son who is perfected for evermore.
Neither by the blood of goats, or of calves, but by his own blood, entered once into the holies, having obtained eternal redemption.
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?
And therefore he is the mediator of the new testament: that by means of his death, for the redemption of those transgressions, which were under the former testament, they that are called may receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
For then he ought to have suffered often from the beginning of the world: but now once at the end of ages, he hath appeared for the destruction of sin, by the sacrifice of himself.
By faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God; that from invisible things visible things might be made. (aiōn )
Jesus Christus heri, et hodie: ipse et in sæcula. (aiōn )
Jesus Christ, yesterday, and today; and the same for ever.
And may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great pastor of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, in the blood of the everlasting testament, (aiōnios )
