1 Mwet kawuk saok luk, kowos in tia lulalfongi mwet nukewa ma sifacna fahk mu oasr Ngun lun God yorolos, a kowos in srikalos ac konauk lah ngun yorolos an ma sin God me ku tia. Tuh mwet palu kikiap puspis fahsrelik tari nu yen nukewa.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits if they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 Pa inge ma ac akkalemye lah ngun sac ma sin God me: kutena mwet su fahkak lah Jesus Christ el tuku in luman mwet uh, Ngun yorol uh ma sin God me.
In this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God:
3 A kutena mwet su tia lulalfongi lah Jesus el tuku in luman mwet, wangin Ngun lun God yorol. Ngun su oan yorol uh ma lun el su Lain Christ; kowos lohng tari lah ac tuku, ac inge tuku tari oasr faclu.
and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, which you have heard that he is coming; and now he is already in the world.
4 Tulik saok nutik, kowos ma lun God, ac kowos kutangla tari mwet palu kikiap uh, mweyen Ngun se su oasr in kowos uh ku liki ngun su oan in elos su ma lun faclu.
You are of God, little children, and you have conquered them; because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
5 Mwet palu kikiap elos kaskaskin ma lun faclu, ac faclu porongelos mweyen elos ma lun faclu.
They are of the world: on this account they speak of the world, and the world hears them.
6 A kut ma lun God. Kutena mwet su etu God elos porongekut; ac mwet su tia ma lun God elos tia lohng kut. Pa inge ma ac akkalemye nu sesr lah pia ngun pwaye, ac pia ngun sutuu.
We are of God: the one knowing God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. From this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Mwet kawuk saok luk, lela kut in lungse sie sin sie, mweyen lungse uh ma sin God me. Kutena mwet su lungse, el tulik nutin God ac el etu God.
Beloved, let us love one another with divine love: because divine love is of God; and the one loving with divine love has been born of God, and knows God.
8 Kutena mwet su tia lungse, el tia etu God, tuh God El lung.
The one not loving with divine love does not know God; because God is divine love.
9 Ac God El akkalemye lungse lal nu sesr ke El supwama Wen sefanna natul nu faclu tuh, kut fah ku in moul kacl.
In this the divine love of God has been made manifest in us, because God has sent his only begotten Son into the world that we may live through him.
10 Pa inge lungse uh: tia tuh kut lungse God, a tuh El lungse kut, ac El supwama Wen natul tuh kut fah ku in eis nunak munas ke ma koluk lasr kacl.
In him is divine love, not because we loved God with divine love, but because he loved us with divine love, and sent his Son an expiation for our sins.
11 Mwet kawuk saok luk, God El fin lungse kut ouinge, kut enenu pac in lungse sie sin sie.
Beloved, if God so loved us with divine love, we ought also to love one another with divine love.
12 Soenna oasr sie mwet nu liye God, a kut fin lungse sie sin sie, God El muta in kut ac lungse lal uh akfalyeyuk in kut.
No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another with divine love, God abides in us, and his divine love has been made perfect in us.
13 Kut etu na lah kut kupasryang nu sin God, ac El oasr in kut, mweyen El ase tari Ngun lal nu sesr.
In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his spirit.
14 Ac kut liye tari ac fahk pac nu sin mwet ngia, lah Papa El supwama Wen natul tuh elan Mwet Lango lun faclu.
And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent forth his Son the Saviour of the world.
15 Kutena mwet fin fahkak tuh Jesus el Wen nutin God, na moul lal kupasryang nu sin God, ac God El oasr in el.
Whosoever may confess that Jesus is the Son of God, in him God abides, and he in God.
16 Ac kut sifacna etu ac lulalfongi ke lungse lun God nu sesr. God El lung, ac kutena mwet su muta in moul in lungse, el muta in God ac God El muta in el.
And we have known and we have believed the divine love which God has in us. God is divine love; and the one abiding in divine love abides in God, and God abides in him.
17 Lungse el akfalyeyukla in kut tuh kut fah akpulaikyeyuk ke Len in Nununku uh. Ac kut ac fah eis ku lasr mweyen moul lasr fin faclu oana moul lun Christ.
In this the divine love has been made perfect in us, that we may have boldness in the day of the judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 Wangin sangeng in lungse. Lungse pwaye uh lusak sangeng nukewa lasr uh. Ke ma inge lungse el tia oan fonla in kutena mwet ma sangeng uh, mweyen sangeng el ma wien akkeok uh.
There is no fear in divine love; but perfect divine love casts out the fear: because the fear has torment; and the one fearing has not been made perfect in the divine love.
19 Kut lungse, mweyen God El lungse kut meet.
Let us love with divine love, because he himself first loved us with divine love.
20 Mwet se fin fahk mu el lungse God, a el srunga mwet lulalfongi wial, el sie mwet kikiap. Tuh el tia ku in lungse God, su el tia liye, el fin tia lungse mwet lulalfongi wial, su el liye.
If any one may say, I love God with divine love, and may hate his brother, he is a liar: for the one not loving his brother whom he has seen, with divine love, is not able to love God, whom he has not seen, with divine love.
21 Ma sap se ma Christ el ase nu sesr uh pa inge: kutena mwet su lungse God, enenu elan lungse pac mwet lulalfongi wial.
And we have this precept from him, that the one loving God with divine love also loves his brother with divine love.
