ಲೂಕನು 19
1 ಯೇಸು ಯೆರಿಕೋ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And, having entered, he was passing through Jericho;
2 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜಕ್ಕಾಯ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಸುಂಕದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖಂಡನೂ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು.
and lo! a man, by name called Zacchaeus, and, he, was a chief tax-collector, and [he] was rich.
3 ಅವನು ಯೇಸು ಯಾರೆಂದು ಕಾಣಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೂ ತಾನು ಕುಳ್ಳನಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದನು.
And he was seeking to see Jesus, what sort of man he was, and could not for the multitude, because, in stature, he was, small.
4 ಆಗ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಅವನು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ, ಒಂದು ಅತ್ತಿಮರವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿಯೇ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And, running forward unto the front, he got up a sycamore-tree, that he might see him; for, by that way, was he about to pass.
5 ಯೇಸು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು, ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಜಕ್ಕಾಯನೇ, ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಇಳಿದು ಬಾ. ನಾನು ಇಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಗಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದರು.
And, as he came up to the place, looking up, Jesus said unto him—Zacchaeus! make haste, and come down; For, to-day, in thy house, I must needs abide.
6 ಜಕ್ಕಾಯನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಇಳಿದುಬಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ, “ಪಾಪಿಷ್ಠನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ,” ಎಂದು ಗೊಣಗುಟ್ಟಿದರು.
And all, when they beheld, began to murmur, saying—With a sinful man, hath he gone in to lodge!
8 ಆದರೆ ಜಕ್ಕಾಯನು ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತದೇವರಿಗೆ, “ಸ್ವಾಮೀ, ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನು ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ಏನಾದರೂ ಮೋಸಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾಲ್ಕರಷ್ಟು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
But, taking his stand, Zacchaeus said unto the Lord—Lo! the half of my possessions, Lord, unto the destitute, I give; and, if, from anyone, I have taken aught by false accusation, I give back fourfold.
9 ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ದಿನವೇ ಈ ಮನೆಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇವನು ಸಹ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಪುತ್ರನಲ್ಲವೇ?
And Jesus said unto him—This day, salvation, unto this house, hath come, —for that, he too, is, a son of Abraham;
10 ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಲ್ಲವೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನು ಬಂದೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
For the Son of Man came, to seek and to save what was lost.
11 ಜನರು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿರಲಾಗಿ, ಯೇಸು ತಾನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಸಮೀಪವಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದಲೂ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ಅವರು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ
And, because they were hearing these things, he added and spake a parable, because of his being near Jerusalem, and their supposing that, instantly, was the kingdom of God to shine forth.
12 ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು: “ಘನವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೂರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
He said, therefore—A certain man, of noble birth, went into a country far away, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತು ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ‘ನಾನು ಬರುವವರೆಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And, calling ten servants of his own, he gave unto them ten minas, and said unto them—Do business, till I come.
14 “ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ನಾಡಿನವರೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ‘ಇವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಅರಸನಾಗುವುದು ಬೇಡ,’ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
But, his citizens, hated him, and sent off an embassy after him, saying—We desire not, this, man, to be made king over us!
15 “ಆದರೂ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದಾಗ, ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಎಷ್ಟು ಲಾಭಗಳಿಸಿದರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ, ತಾನು ಹಣ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಆ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆತರಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
And it came to pass, when he returned, having received the kingdom, that he bade be called unto him these servants, to whom he had given the silver, that he might take note, what business they had done.
16 “ಆಗ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು ಬಂದು, ‘ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಂದು ನಾಣ್ಯದಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹತ್ತು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿದೆ,’ ಎಂದನು.
And the first came near, saying—Lord! thy mina, hath made, ten minas.
17 “ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು, ‘ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದಿ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸೇವಕನೇ. ನೀನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದೀ, ಹತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರು,’ ಎಂದನು.
And he said to him—Well done! good servant. Because, in a very small thing, thou hast been, faithful, have thou authority over, ten cities.
18 “ಎರಡನೆಯವನು ಬಂದು, ‘ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಒಂದು ನಾಣ್ಯದಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಐದು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿದೆ,’ ಎಂದನು.
And the second came, saying—Thy mina, lord, hath made five minas.
19 “ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು, ‘ನೀನು ಐದು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರು,’ ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And he said, to him also, And, thou, be over five cities.
20 “ಆಗ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಬಂದು, ‘ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಕರವಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಾಣ್ಯ ಇದೇ.
And, the other, came, saying—Lord, lo! thy mina, which I kept lying by in a napkin;
21 ನೀವು ಕಠಿಣ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟೆನು. ನೀನು ಕೂಡಿಡದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೂ ಬಿತ್ತದೆ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀ,’ ಎಂದನು.
For I was afraid of thee, because, a harsh man, thou art, —Thou takest up, what thou layedst not down, and reapest, what thou sowedst not!
22 “ಆಗ ಆ ಯಜಮಾನನು, ‘ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸೇವಕನೇ! ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ನಿನಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಕೂಡಿಡದೆ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೂ ಬಿತ್ತದೆ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವನೂ ಆದ ಕಠಿಣ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತಲ್ಲಾ.
He saith to him—Out of thy mouth, do I judge thee, O wicked servant! Thou knewest that, I, a harsh man, am, —taking up, what I laid not down, and reaping, what I did not sow;
23 ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಬಡ್ಡಿ ಅಂಗಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕೆ ಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದಾಗ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಬಡ್ಡಿ ಸಮೇತವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Wherefore, then, didst thou not place my silver upon a [money-changer’s] table, and, I, when I came, with interest might have exacted it?
24 “ಯಜಮಾನನು ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಇವನಿಂದ ಆ ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹತ್ತು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿದ್ದವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದನು.
And, unto the by-standers, he said—Take, from him, the mina, and give unto him that hath, the ten minas; —
25 “ಆಗ ಅವರು, ‘ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹತ್ತು ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಾ!’ ಎಂದರು.
And they said to him, Lord! he hath ten minas; —
26 “ಆಗ ಯಜಮಾನನು, ‘ಇದ್ದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಇಲ್ಲದವರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇದ್ದ ಅಲ್ಪವನ್ನೂ ಕಸಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು.
I tell you—Unto everyone that hath, shall be given, whereas, from him that hath not, even what he hath, shall be taken away.
27 ಆದರೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಆಳಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡದ ಆ ನನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಂಹಾರ ಮಾಡಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದನು.”
But, these mine enemies who desired not that I should be made king over them, bring ye here, and slay them outright before me.
28 ಯೇಸು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ತರುವಾಯ, ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟರು.
And, having said these things, he was moving on in front, going up into Jerusalem.
29 ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಓಲಿವ್ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಇರುವ ಬೇತ್ಫಗೆಗೂ ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದಾಗ, ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು,
And it came to pass, as he drew near unto Bethphage, and Bethany, unto the mount which is called the Mount of Olives, he sent off two of his disciples,
30 “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿಗಿರುವ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ನೀವು ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಯಾರೂ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡದಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುವಿರಿ. ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ.
saying—Go your way unto the opposite village, in which, as ye are entering, ye shall find a colt, bound, whereon, no man, hath, ever sat, —and, having loosed him, bring him.
31 ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನಿಮಗೆ, ‘ಏಕೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುತ್ತೀರಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಇದು ಕರ್ತದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
And, if any one question you—Wherefore are ye loosing him? thus, shall ye say—His Lord, hath, need.
32 ಆ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಸು ತಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಕಂಡರು.
And they who were sent, departing, found as he had said to them.
33 ಅವರು ಆ ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಅದರ ಯಜಮಾನರು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಬಿಚ್ಚುತ್ತೀರಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ,
And, as they were loosing the colt, his lords said unto them—Why are ye loosing the colt?
34 ಅವರು, “ಇದು ಕರ್ತದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
And, they, said—His Lord, hath, need.
35 ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಅದನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೂರಿಸಿದರು.
And they brought him unto Jesus; and, throwing their mantles over the colt, they seated Jesus thereon.
36 ಯೇಸು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸಿದರು.
And, as he moved along, they were spreading their own mantles in the way.
37 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೇಸು ಓಲಿವ್ ಗುಡ್ಡದಿಂದ ಇಳಿಜಾರನ್ನು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದಾಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯ ಸಮೂಹವೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಾವು ಕಂಡ ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತಾ, ಮಹಾ ಸ್ವರದಿಂದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ಕೊಂಡಾಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು:
And, when he was drawing near, already, unto the descent of the Mount of Olives, one-and-all the throng of the disciples began joyfully to be praising God with a loud voice, concerning all the mighty works which they had seen;
38 “ಕರ್ತದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಅರಸನು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದಲಿ!” “ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಾನ, ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಮೆ!”
saying—Blessed is he that cometh… The king! In the name of the Lord! In heaven, peace! And glory in the highest!
39 ಜನಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲವು ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ!” ಎಂದರು.
And, certain of the Pharisees from the multitude, said unto him—Teacher! rebuke thy disciples.
40 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಾದರೆ, ಈ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಕೂಗುವವು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
And he answered and said—I tell you—If, these, shall hold their peace, the stones, will cry out.
41 ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡು, ಅದರ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತು,
And, when he drew near, beholding the city, he wept over it, saying—
42 “ನೀನು ಇಂದಾದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
If thou hadst got to know, in this day, even thou, the conditions of peace… But, now, are they hid from thine eyes:
43 ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅಡ್ಡಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವ ದಿನಗಳು ಬರುವವು.
Because days will have come upon thee, that thine enemies will throw around a rampart against thee, and enclose thee; and hem thee in from every side, —
44 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಗೋಡೆಯೊಳಗಿನ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಡಿಯುವರು. ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕಲ್ಲು ನಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
And will level thee with the ground, and thy children within thee, and will not leave, stone on stone, within thee: because thou didst not get to know the season of thy visitation.
45 ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸು ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಅಂಗಳದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ,
And, entering into the temple, he began to be casting out them who were selling;
46 ಅವರಿಗೆ, “‘ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ಮನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದದೆ. ನೀವೋ ಅದನ್ನು, ‘ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗವಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ’ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
saying unto them—It is written, And, my house, shall be, a house of prayer; but, ye, have made, it, a den of robbers.
47 ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಜನರ ಪ್ರಮುಖರೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹವಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And he was teaching day by day in the temple; but, the High-priests and the Scribes, also the chiefs of the people, were seeking to destroy him, —
48 ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೇಸು ಹೇಳುವ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಮಾತಿಗೂ ಬಹಳ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕೊಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೋ ತೋಚಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and could not find what they might do, for, the people, one and all, were hanging upon him, as they hearkened.
