ಮಾರ್ಕನು 1
1 ದೇವಪುತ್ರರಾದ ಯೇಸುಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಆರಂಭ.
Beginning of the glad-message of Jesus Christ.
2 ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯೆಶಾಯನ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ: “ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವನು.”
According as it is written in Isaiah the prophet—Lo! I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way, —
3 “‘ಕರ್ತದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಅವರ ದಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಾಗಮಾಡಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುವವನ ಸ್ವರವದೆ.”
A voice of one crying aloud—In the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, straight, be making his paths.
4 ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಸ್ನಾನಿಕನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಪಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು, ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದನು.
John the Immerser came, in the wilderness, proclaiming an immersion of repentance for remission of sins;
5 ಯೂದಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ನಗರದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಅವನಿಂದ ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
and there were going out unto him all the Judaea country and all they of Jerusalem, and were being immersed by him in the Jordan river, openly confessing their sins;
6 ಯೋಹಾನನು ಒಂಟೆಯ ಕೂದಲಿನ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಸೊಂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಚರ್ಮದ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಡುಜೇನು ಅವನ ಆಹಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
and John was clothed with camel’s-hair and a leathern girdle about his loins, and was eating locusts and wild honey;
7 ಅವನು, “ನನಗಿಂತ ಶಕ್ತರೊಬ್ಬರು ನನ್ನ ನಂತರ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಅವರ ಪಾದರಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಸನಂತೆ ಬಾಗಿ ಬಿಚ್ಚುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ನಾನು ಅರ್ಹನಲ್ಲ.
and he proclaimed, saying—He that is mightier than I cometh after [me], of whom I am not worthy to stoop and unloose the strap of his sandals:
8 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸುವರು,” ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
I, have immersed you, with water, —He, will immerse you, with the Holy Spirit.
9 ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ, ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಯೇಸು ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತದ ನಜರೇತ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಬಂದು, ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಹಾನನಿಂದ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And it came to pass, in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed into the Jordan by John;
10 ಯೇಸು ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೇ, ಆಕಾಶವು ತೆರೆದು, ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮರು ಪಾರಿವಾಳದಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು.
And, straightway, as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rending asunder, and, the Spirit, as a dove, descending unto him;
11 ಆಗ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಪುತ್ರನು, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪಾರವಾಗಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂಬ ಧ್ವನಿಯು ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿಬಂತು.
and a voice [came] out of the heavens—Thou, art my Son, the Beloved, —In thee, I delight.
12 ಕೂಡಲೇ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ದೇವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
And, straightway, the Spirit urgeth him forth into the wilderness;
13 ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಲವತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳು, ಸೈತಾನನಿಂದ ಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದರು. ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳೊಡನೆ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದು, ದೇವದೂತರಿಂದ ಉಪಚಾರ ಪಡೆದರು.
and he was in the wilderness, forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts, —and, the messengers, were ministering unto him.
14 ಯೋಹಾನನು ಬಂಧಿತನಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಯಾದ ತರುವಾಯ, ಯೇಸು ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ದೇವರ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದರು:
And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the glad-message of God,
15 “ಕಾಲವು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿದೆ, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದೆ, ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಟ್ಟು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
[and saying]—The season is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God hath drawn near, —Repent ye, and have faith in the glad-message.
16 ಯೇಸು ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಸರೋವರದ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಸೀಮೋನನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರ ಅಂದ್ರೆಯನನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡರು. ಬೆಸ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಸರೋವರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲೆ ಬೀಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And, passing by near the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea, —for they were fishers;
17 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿರಿ. ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು, ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸುವವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
and Jesus said unto them—Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men;
18 ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.
and, straightway, leaving the nets, they followed him.
19 ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಜೆಬೆದಾಯನ ಮಗ ಯಾಕೋಬ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ತಮ್ಮ ಯೋಹಾನನನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೋಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And, going forward a little, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, and them who were in the boat putting in order the nets;
20 ಕೂಡಲೇ ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲು, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಜೆಬೆದಾಯನನ್ನು ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ದೋಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.
and, straightway, he called them, —and, leaving their father Zebedee in the boat, with the hired men, they came away after him.
21 ಅವರು ಕಪೆರ್ನೌಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು, ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಂದು ಯೇಸು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬೋಧಿಸತೊಡಗಿದರು.
And they journey into Capernaum. And, straightway, on the Sabbath, entering into the synagogue, he began teaching;
22 ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಜನರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೇಸು ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರಂತೆ ಬೋಧಿಸದೆ, ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿದ್ದವರಂತೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
and they were being struck with astonishment at his teaching, —for he was teaching them as one having authority, and, not as the Scribes.
23 ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದೊಳಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮವಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು.
And, straightway, there was in their synagogue, a man in an impure spirit, —and he cried out aloud,
24 ಅವನು, “ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸುವೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಗೊಡವೆ ನಿನಗೇಕೆ? ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿರುವೆಯೋ? ನೀವು ಯಾರೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ನೀವು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರು,” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
saying—What have we in common with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee, who thou art, The Holy One of God.
25 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು, “ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು, ಅವನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಾ,” ಎಂದು ಗದರಿಸಿದರು.
And Jesus rebuked him, [saying]—Be silenced, and come forth out of him!
26 ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಉಗ್ರವಾಗಿ ಒದ್ದಾಡಿಸಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ, ಅವನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂತು.
And the impure spirit, tearing him, and calling out with a loud voice, came forth out of him;
27 ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಂಡು, “ಇದೇನು? ಅಧಿಕಾರಸಹಿತವಾದ ಹೊಸ ಬೋಧನೆ! ಈತನು ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಅವು ಈತನಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ!” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
and they were amazed, one and all, so that they began to discuss among themselves, saying—What is this? New teaching! With authority, to the impure spirits also, he giveth orders, and they obey him!
28 ಕೂಡಲೇ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂತದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಬ್ಬಿತು.
And forth went the report of him, straightway, on every hand, into the surrounding country of Galilee.
29 ಅವರು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಕೂಡಲೇ, ಯಾಕೋಬ ಯೋಹಾನರೊಡನೆ ಸೀಮೋನ ಅಂದ್ರೆಯರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
And, straightway, out of the synagogue, going forth, he went unto the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀಮೋನನ ಅತ್ತೆಯು ಜ್ವರದಿಂದ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವರು ಆಕೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
Now, the mother-in-law of Simon, was lying in a fever, and, straightway, they speak to him concerning her;
31 ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು. ಜ್ವರವು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಆಕೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉಪಚರಿಸಿದಳು.
and, coming near, he raised her up, grasping her hand, —and the fever left her, and she began ministering unto them.
32 ಆ ಸಂಜೆ ಸೂರ್ಯಾಸ್ತವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಜನರು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾದವರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ದೆವ್ವಪೀಡಿತರನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದರು.
And, evening arriving, when the sun went in, they were bearing unto him all who were sick, and them who were demonized;
33 ಇಡೀ ಊರಿನವರು ಕೂಡಿ ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದರು.
and all the city was gathered unto the door;
34 ಯೇಸು ವಿವಿಧ ರೋಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅನೇಕ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ತಾನು ಯಾರೆಂದು ಆ ದೆವ್ವಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಅನುಮತಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and he cured many that were sick with divers diseases, and, many demons, he cast out, and suffered not the demons to be talking, —because they knew him [to be Christ].
35 ಬೆಳಗಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲೇ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಲಿರುವಾಗ, ಯೇಸು ಎದ್ದು ಏಕಾಂತ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And, very early by night arising, he went out [and departed] into a desert place, and, there, was praying;
36 ಆಗ ಸೀಮೋನನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.
and Simon, and they who were with him, went in quest of him,
37 ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ, “ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎದುರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
and found him, and say unto him—All, are seeking thee;
38 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೇರೆ ಊರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಬೇಕು. ನಾನು ಬಂದಿರುವುದು ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
and he saith unto them—Let us be going elsewhere, into the neighbouring country-towns, in order that, there also, I may be making proclamation, —for, to this end, came I forth;
39 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
and he came, making proclamation, into their synagogues, throughout the whole of Galilee, —and, was casting the demons out.
40 ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ, “ನಿಮಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿದ್ದರೆ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
And there cometh unto him, a leper, beseeching him and [kneeling], —saying unto him—If thou be willing, thou canst cleanse me;
41 ಯೇಸು ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು, ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿ, “ನನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿದೆ, ನೀನು ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗು,” ಎಂದರು.
and, moved with compassion, he stretched forth the hand, and touched him, and saith unto him—I am willing, Be cleansed!
42 ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗವು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನು ಶುದ್ಧನಾದನು.
and, straightway, the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed;
43 ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೋಡು, ಇದನ್ನು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಬೇಡ. ಆದರೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯಾಜಕನಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ, ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧತ್ವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸು ಇದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿ, ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
and, strictly charging him, straightway, he urged him forth;
and saith unto him—Mind! unto no one, say aught, —but withdraw, thyself, show unto the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what things Moses enjoined, for a witness unto them.
45 ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿಸಿದನು. ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಯೇಸು ಯಾವ ಊರೊಳಗೂ ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲಾಗದೆ, ನಿರ್ಜನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೂ ಜನರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
But, he, going forth, began to be proclaiming many things, and blazing abroad the story, so that, no longer, was it possible for him, openly, into a city, to enter, —but, outside, in desert places, [was he], and they were coming unto him from every quarter.
