< Joni 16 >
1 Hagi ama nanekea ru tamentintifinti evuramizanku, menina neramasmue.
I have spoken to you in this way so that you may not falter.
2 Jiu vahe mono nompinti (sinagog) tamahenati atregahaze. Mago kna ne-eankino, tamahe frisu'za zamagesa antahisazana Anumzamofo eri'za e'nerune hu'za antahigahaze.
They will expel you from their Synagogues; indeed the time is coming when any one who kills you will think that he is making an offering to God.
3 E'ina hu'za zamagra hurmantegahaze, na'ankure Nenfane Nagri enena ontahi'nagu anara hurmantegahaze.
They will do this, because they have not learned to know the Father, or even me.
4 Hianagi ama zanku Nagra nermasmuankino, ana zagegna (aua) efore'ma hina, Nagrama tamasmi'noa kegu tamagra antahigahaze. Ese agafare Nagra ontamasami'noe, na'ankure Nagra tamagrane mani'nogu ontamasmi'noe.
But I have spoken to you of these things that, when the time for them comes, you may remember that I told you about them myself.
5 Hianagi menina Agra hunantege'na e'nomofonte, Nagra vunaku nehugeta mago'moka nantahigenka, iga vunaku nehane? hunka nantahi nonkane.
I did not tell you all this at first, because I was with you. But now I am to return to him who sent me; and yet not one of you asks me — ‘Where are you going?’
6 Hianagi vugahue hu'na Nagrama tamasmua kemo, tamagri tamagu'a erigna nehie.
Although your hearts are full of sorrow at all that I have been saying to you.
7 Hianagi Nagra tamage neramasmue, tamagrima eme tamaza hanigu vugahue, na'ankure Nagrama tamatre'na ovanugeno'a, tamaza hu'zana tamagritera omegahie. Hianagi Nagrama vanuna, huntanena, Agra tamagritega egahie.
Yet I am only telling you the truth; it is for your good that I should go away. For otherwise the Helper will never come to you, but, if I leave you, I will send him to you.
8 Hankino Agra esuno'a, mopafi vahe'mokizmi kumi'ene, Anumzamofo fatgo avu'ava zane, henkama refko huno keaga huzmantesiaza zameri nehuno,
And he, when he comes, will bring conviction to the world as to Sin, and as to Righteousness, and as to Judgment;
9 kumi zamimofonku zamasmigahie. Na'ankure zamagra Nagritera zamentintia osu'naze.
as to Sin, for men do not believe in me;
10 Na'ankure fatgo navu'navama hanuana, Nenfantega vanugeta, tamagra Nagrira onagegahaze.
as to Righteousness, for I am going to the Father, and you will see me no longer;
11 Hagi kema refko haniaza eme huramerigahie. Na'ankure ama mopa kva hu'nemofona hago keaga hunte'noe.
as to Judgment, for the Spirit that is ruling this world has been condemned.
12 Nagra mago'a rama'a naneke tamasmusine, hianagi menina tamagra antahise osugahaze.
I have still much to say to you, but you cannot bear it now.
13 Hianagi Tamage Avamu'ma esuno'a, antahi antahimofona eri ama hina tamage nanekea keta antahita hugahaze. Na'ankure Agra'a antahintahi'ane, hanave'arera ana nanekea osugahie, hianagi na'ano Agrama antahisia kege nehuno, henkama esia zamofonku tamasmigahie.
Yet when he — The Spirit of Truth — comes, he will guide you into all Truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but he will speak of all that he hears; and he will tell you of the things that are to come.
14 Avamumo'a, Nagri nagi erisaga hugahie, na'ankure Nagripi me'neazana erino tamagrira tamasmigahie.
He will honour me; because he will take of what is mine, and will tell it to you.
15 Maka'zama Nenfa'ma ante'neana Nagri'zane hu'na hu'noe, e'ina hu'negu Avamumo'a Nagripinti ana nanekea erino tamagrira tamasmigahie.
Everything that the Father has is mine; that is why I said that he takes of what is mine, and will tell it to you.
16 Hagi Osi'a knafi omani'nanena tamagra onagegahaze, hagi ete osia knafi tamagra nagegahaze.
In a little while you will no longer see me; and then in a little while you will see me indeed.”
17 Mago'a amage' nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za zamagra zamagra ohumi ahumi nehu'za anage hu'naze, Ama'i nankna naneke tasmino, osi'a knafi tamagra onagegahaze nehuno, ete osi'a knafi nagegahaze nehie. Na'ankure Nagra Nenfante vugahue nehie?
At this some of his disciples said to one another: “What does he mean by saying to us ‘In a little while you will not see me, and then in a little while you will see me indeed’; and by saying ‘Because I am going to the Father’?
18 Amage' nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za anage hu'naze, Ama'i na'anku Agra anage huno, osi'a knafine nehie? Tagra ontahi'none, na'anku Agra nehifi ontahi'none hu'za hu'naze.
What does he mean by ‘In a little while’?” they said; “we do not know what he is speaking about.”
19 Zamagra antahigenaku Jisasina nehazageno nentahino, anage huno zamasmi'ne, Nagra hu'na, osi'a knafi onageta, ete osi'a knafi nagegahaze hua kegu, tamagra antahintahi hakare nehazo?
Jesus saw that they were wanting to ask him a question, and said: “Are you trying to find out from one another what I meant by saying ‘In a little while you will not see me; and then in a little while you will see me indeed’?
20 Tamagerfa hu'na neramasmue. Tamagra tamavunu nehina ranke huta zavira ategahaze, hianagi ama mopafi vahe'mo'za muse hugahaze. Tamagra tamarimpa kna hugahazanagi ete tmarimpa knamo'a eri rukrahe hanigeta, muse hugahaze.
In truth I tell you that you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will suffer pain, but your pain shall turn to joy.
21 A'mo mofavrema nenteno'a atagu nehie, na'ankure mofavrema kasente kna egeno'e, hianagi mofavrema ksentete'no'a, ana atagura agesa nontahie. Na'ankure ama mopafi mofavrema kasentea muse nehie.
A woman in labour is in pain because her time has come; but no sooner is the child born, than she forgets her trouble in her joy that a man has been born into the world.
22 E'i ana hu'negu tamagra menina zavira netaze, hianagi Nagra henka nermagesugeno, tamagu'amo muse nehina, mago'mo ana musezana tamagripintira eri otregahie.
You, in the same way, are sorry now; but I shall see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will rob you of your joy.
23 Ana knarera Nagrira mago'zankura nantahi onkegahaze. Tamagerafa hu'na tamagrira neramasmue, Nenfama mago zanku'ma Nagri nagifima antahigesageno'a, amne tamigahie.
And at that time you will not ask me anything; in truth I tell you, if you ask the Father for anything, he will grant it to you in my Name.
24 Korapara Nagri nagifina mago'zankura antahi onke'naze. Hianagi tamagra antahigetma erigahaze, e'ina hanageno muse zantmimo'a avitegahie.
So far you have not asked for anything, in my Name; ask, and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
25 Nagra amanage hu'na fronka kefinti neramasmue, mago kna ne-eanki'na, ana kna zupa fronka kefintira ontamasmigahue. Hianagi huama hu'na Nenfankura tmasmigahue.
I have spoken to you of all this in figures; a time is coming, however, when I shall not speak any longer to you in figures, but shall tell you about the Father plainly.
26 E'i ana knazupa, Nagri nagifi Nenfana antahigegahaze. Nagra tamagri tamagi eri'na, Nenfana asmigahue hu'na nosue.
You will ask, at that time, in my Name; and I do not say that I will intercede with the Father for you;
27 Hagi Nenfa'a tamagrira Agra'a avesineramante, na'ankure tamagra Nagrira tamavesinenteta Nagrikura Anumzamofonteti e'ne huta tamentinti hu'naze.
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from the Father.
28 Nagra Nenfantegati e'na, ama mopafina e'noe, hianagi ama mopa ete atre'na Nenfa hirega vugahue.
I came out from the Father, and have come into the world; and now I am to leave the world, and go to the Father.”
29 Hige'za Agri amage' nentaza disaipol naga'mo'za anage hu'naze, Ko menina Kagra amate ke huama nehunka, fronka kea osane.
“At last,” exclaimed the disciples, “you are using plain words and not speaking in figures at all.
30 Tagra menina antahi'none, Kagra maka'zana antahi'nane, mago zankura vahe'mo'a kagenoka osugahie. E'ina'ma hanazante tagra tamentinti nehuta, Anumzantegati e'nane huta nehune.
Now we are sure that you know everything, and need not wait for any one to question you. This makes us believe that you did come from God.”
31 Jisasi'a kenona huno, Menina tamagra tamentinti nehazo?
“Do you believe that already?” Jesus answered.
32 Keho, knamo'a (aua) hago eno ama e'ne, mago mago'moka nonkarega nevunka, natresanke'na Nagrake manigahue, ana hugahazanagi Nagrakera omanigahue. Na'ankure Nenfa'a Nagrane mani'ne.
“Listen! a time is coming — indeed it has already come — when you are to be scattered, each going his own way, and to leave me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 Ama'ina nanekema Nagra neramasmuana, Nagripinti tamarimpa fru erigahaze. Ama mopafina hazenke zane, tamasuzamo egahianagi, oti hanavetiho. Na'ankure Nagra ama mopafi hanavea azeri haviza hu'na hago agatere'noe.
I have spoken to you in this way, so that in me you may find peace. In the world you will find trouble; yet, take courage! I have conquered the world.”
