ヘブル人への手紙 3
1 第二款 キリストはモイゼに優り給ふ 然れば聖なる兄弟等よ、汝等は天よりの召に與りたる者なれば、我等が宣言[する信仰]の使徒に在し大司祭に在すイエズスの、
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, the Messiah Yahushua;
2 恰もモイゼが神の全家に忠義なりし如く、己を立て給ひし者に忠義に在す事を鑑みよ。
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3 蓋イエズスがモイゼに優りて大いなる光榮を受くべき者とせられ給ひしは、家を造りたる者の其家に優りて尊ばるが如し。
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4 家は総て人に造らるれども、萬物を無より造り給ひしは神にて在す。
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is Elohim.
5 而してモイゼが神の全家に忠義なりしは、僕として、後に告げらるべき事を證せん為なるに、
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 キリストは子として、神の家に忠義に在せり。若希望による信頼と誇とを終まで堅く保たば、我等ぞ即ち其家なる。
But the Messiah as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
7 此故に聖霊の曰へる如く、「今日汝等其聲を聞かば、
Wherefore (as the Holy Spirit saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
8 曾て荒野に於て怒の時神を試みし日に在りし如く、心を頑固にすること勿れ、
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 彼處にては、汝等の先祖試みて我を験し、四十年の間我業を見たり、
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 故に我其時代の人に怒りて謂へらく、彼等は何時も心にて彷徨ひ、我道を知らざりき、
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 然れば我怒りて、彼等は我安息に入らじと誓へり」、と。
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 兄弟等よ、汝等の中に、或は不信仰の惡心ありて、活き給へる神に遠ざからんとする事の誰にも之なからん様注意せよ。
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living Elohim.
13 寧今日と稱ふる間に、日々相勧めて、汝等の中に罪の欺によりて頑固になる者なからしめよ。
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 我等若始の信頼を終まで堅固に保たば、キリストに與る者と為られたるなり。
For we are made partakers of the Messiah, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15 即ち「今日汝等其聲を聞かば、彼怒の時の如く心を頑固にすること勿れ」と謂はるればなり。
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 聞きて怒らせし人々は誰なるぞ、是モイゼと共にエジプトより出でし凡ての人ならずや。
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 又四十年の間、神は誰に對ひて怒り給ひしぞ、罪を犯して屍を荒野に横たへられし人々に對してに非ずや。
But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18 又我安息に入らじと誓い給ひしは、誰に對ひてなるぞ、不順なりし人々に對してに非ずや。
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 我等の見る所によれば、彼等は實に不順の為に入る事を得ざりしなり。
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
