< Isaias 13 >
1 Maysa a pakaammo maipapan iti Babilonia, a naawat ni Isaias a lalaki a putot ni Amos:
The oracle on Babylon, —of which Isaiah, son of Amoz had vision: —
2 Iti tapaw ti awan mulmulana a bantay ket mangikabilkayo iti bandera a pagilasinan, pukkawanyo ida, ipayapayyo ti imayo kadakuada tapno mapanda kadagiti ruangan dagiti natatakneng.
Upon a bare mountain, lift ye up a standard, Raise high the voice to them, Wave the hand, That they may enter the doors of nobles.
3 Binilinko dagiti katalekko, wen, inayabak dagiti maingel a tattaok a mangipalak-am iti pungtotko, kasta met dagiti tattaok a mangipanpannakkel kadagiti inaramidko.
I myself, have given charge to my hallowed ones, —Yea I have called My heroes in showing mine anger, My proudly exulting ones.
4 Adda arimbangaw iti adu a tattao iti kabanbantayan, arimbangaw ti adu unay a tattao! Ti ariwawa dagiti pagarian a kasla adu a nasion a naguummong! Um-ummungen ni Yahweh, a Mannakabalin-amin ti armada para iti gubat.
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, A resemblance of many people, —The noise of a tumult of kingdoms Nations gathered together, Yahweh of hosts, mustering a host for battle!
5 Naggapuda iti adayo a pagilian, manipud iti nakaad-adayo a kasulsulinekan a pungto ti daga. Ni Yahweh ken dagiti aramatenna iti panangukom, a mangdadael iti entero a daga.
They are coming in From a land far away. From the utmost bound of the heavens, —Yahweh—with his weapons of indignation, To destroy the land.
6 Agdung-awkayo, ta asidegen ti aldaw ni Yahweh; dumteng a nabuyugan iti pannakadadael manipud iti Mannakabalin-amin.
Howl ye! for at hand is the day of Yahweh, —As a veritable destruction from the Almighty, shall it come.
7 Ngarud, malpayto amin nga ima ken kumapoy ti tunggal puso;
For this cause—All hands, shall hang down, —and Every mortal heart, melt.
8 Agbutengdanto iti kasta unay; agsagabadanto iti ut-ot ken ladingit, a kas iti babai nga agpaspasikal. Agkikinnitadanto gapu iti siddaaw; lumabbaganto dagiti rupada gapu iti bain.
And they shall be in distress—Writhings and pains, shall lay hold, As a woman in childbirth, shall they be in pangs, —Everyone, at his neighbour, shall look in amazement, Faces of flames, their faces!
9 Kitaenyo, dumteng ti aldaw ni Yahweh ket awan asi iti panangdusana ken nalaus ti ungetna, ket pagbalinenna a langalang ti daga ken dadaelenna dagiti managbasol manipud iti daytoy.
Lo! the day of Yahweh, coming in, Fierce and overflowing, and burning with anger, —To devote the earth to desolation, And her sinners, will he destroy out of it.
10 Dagiti bituen ti langit ket saanto nga agraniag. Agsipngetto ti init uray iti parbangon, ken saanto nga agraniag ti bulan.
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations, shall not flash forth their light, —Obscured shall be the sun in his going forth, And the moon, shall not shed her light.
11 Dusaekto ti lubong gapu iti kinadakesna ken dagiti nadangkes gapu iti kinadakesda. Gibusakto ti kinapalangguad dagiti natangsit ken ipababakto ti kinapalangguad dagiti naulpit.
And I will visit, upon the inhabited earth, calamity!, And upon the lawless, their punishment, And will quiet the arrogance of the proud, And the loftiness of tyrants, will I lay low.
12 Pabassitek ti bilang dagiti lallaki ngem iti bilang iti puro a balitok ken pagbalinek a narigrigat a biruken ti tao ngem iti puro a balitok ti Ophir.
I will cause, a man, to be more precious than fine gold, —Even a son of earth than, the finest gold of Ophir.
13 Ngarud, pagkintayegekto ti langit, ket maiyalisto ti daga iti nakasaadanna, babaen iti pungtot ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, ken iti aldaw ti nakabutbuteng a pungtotna.
For this cause, the heavens, will I disturb, And, the earth, shall tremble out of her place, —In the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, And in the day of the glow of his anger.
14 Kas iti naanupan nga ugsa wenno kas iti maysa a karnero nga awan ti pastorna, tunggal tao ket agsublinto kadagiti kaillianna ken iti bukodna a daga.
And it shall be—Like a gazelle that is chased, And like a sheep with none to lift it up, —Each, to his own people, will they turn, And, each, to his own land, will they flee:
15 Siasinoman a masarakan ket mapapatayto, ken siasinoman a matiliw ket matayto babaen iti kampilan.
Every one found, shall be thrust through, —And, every one taken, shall fall by the sword;
16 Iti imatangda, maibaut-baotto dagiti maladagada agingga nga agsisina dagiti bagida. Matagikuanto dagiti balbalayda ken maagaw ken maramesto dagiti assawada.
And, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, before their eyes, —Plundered shall be, their houses, and their wives ravished.
17 Kitaenyo, dandanikon sugsogan dagiti taga-Media a mangraut kadakuada, a saanto a mangikankano iti pirak, wenno saan a maay-ayo iti balitok.
Behold me! stirring up against them the Medes, —Who of silver, shall take no account, And as for gold, they shall not delight in it;
18 Duyukento dagiti panada dagiti agtutubo a lallaki. Awanto iti asida kadagiti maladaga ken saandanto a bay-an nga agbiag dagiti ubbing.
And, bows, shall dash the young to pieces, —And on the fruit of the womb, will they have no pity, Over children, will their eye throw no shield.
19 Kasta met ti Babilonia, ti kangrunaan a madaydayaw kadagiti pagarian, ti nadaeg a pagpanpannakkel dagiti Caldeo, ket parmekento ti Dios a kas iti Sodoma ken Gomora.
Thus shall Babylon—The most lovely of kingdoms, The majestic beauty of the Chaldees—Become as in the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 Saanton a mapagtaengan wenno mapagnaedan pay dagiti henerasion. Saanto nga ipatakder ti Arab iti toldana sadiay, ken saanto a paginnanaen dagiti agpaspastor dagiti arbanda sadiay.
It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, —Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.
21 Ngem agiddanto sadiay dagiti atap nga ayup iti let-ang. Mapunnonto dagiti balbalayda kadagiti kullaaw; ken aglagtu-lagtonto dagiti abestrus ken atap a kalding sadiay.
Then shall lie down there, wild beasts, And filled shall be their houses with owls, —Then shall inhabit there, the ostrich, And shaggy creatures, shall dance there.
22 Agtaguobto dagiti hyena kadagiti pagsammakedanda, ken agtaulto dagiti atap nga aso kadagiti napipintas a palasio. Asidegen ti tiempona, ken saanen a maitantan dagiti aldawna.
And jackals shall answer, in their citadels, And wild dogs, in their voluptuous palaces, —And near to come is her time, And, her days, shall not be delayed.
