< Dagiti Aramid 9 >
1 Ngem ni Saulo, a mangibagbaga latta iti pangta uray pay iti pammapatay, maibusor kadagiti adalan ti Apo, napan iti nangato a padi
Meanwhile Saul, still breathing out threats of murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
2 ket nagkiddaw kenkuana iti sursurat para kadagiti sinagoga idiay Damasco, tapno no adda mabirukanna a kameng iti Dalan, lallaki man wenno babbai, ket ipanna koma ida idiay Jerusalem kas balud.
and begged of him letters addressed to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any that were of the Way, either men or women, he could bind them and bring them to Jerusalem.
3 Kabayatan nga agdaldaliasat isuna, napasamak nga idi asidegen isuna idiay Damasco, kellaat nga adda lawag manipud langit a nanglawag iti aglawlawna;
And as he journeyed, when he was approaching Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed round him.
4 ket natuang isuna iti daga ken nakangngeg iti timek a mangibagbaga kenkuana, “Saulo, Saulo, apay a parparigatennak?”
He fell to the ground, and heard a voice which said to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?"
5 Simmungbat ni Saulo, “Siasinoka, Apo?” Kinuna ti Apo, “Siak ni Jesus nga idaddadanesmo;
And he said, "Who are you Lord?"
6 ngem tumakderka, sumrekka iti siudad, ket maipakaammonto kenka no ania iti rumbeng nga aramidem.”
"I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he said. "Stand up and go into the city, and there you shall be told what you must do."
7 Siuulimek a nakatakder dagiti lallaki a kadua ni Saulo a nagdaliasat, mangmangngegda ti timek ngem awan makitada.
Meanwhile the men who were his fellow travelers stood speechless, hearing indeed the voice, but beholding no one.
8 Timmakder ni Saulo manipud iti daga, ket idi inmulagatna dagiti matana, awan a pulos iti makitana; isu a kinibinda isuna ket impanda isuna idiay Damasco.
And Saul got up from the ground, but although his eyes were open, he continued to perceive nothing; so they took him by the hand and led him into Damascus.
9 Iti tallo nga aldaw ket saan isuna a makakita, ket saan isuna a nangan wenno imminom.
And he remained there three days, seeing nothing, and without eating or drinking.
10 Ita, adda maysa nga adalan idiay Damasco a managan Ananias; ket nagsao ti Apo kenkuana iti maysa a sirmata, “Ananias.” Ket kinunana, “Adtoyak, Apo.”
Now there was in Damascus a disciple named Ananias, and the Lord spoke to him in a vision, saying, "Ananias!" And he answered, "Lo, I am here, Lord."
11 Kinuna ti Apo kenkuana, “Tumakderka, ket mapanka iti kalsada a maawagan Nalinteg, ket iti balay ni Judas, damagem ti agnagan iti Saulo, maysa a lalaki a naggapu idiay Tarso; ta agkarkararag isuna;
And the Lord said to him. "Arise, go into the street named ‘Straight,’ and make inquiries in the house of Judas for a man of Tarsus, one Saul.
12 ken nakitana iti maysa a sirmata a simrek ti tao a managan Ananias ken impatayna ti imana kenkuana, tapno awatenn ti panagkitana.”
He is now praying, and has seen a man named Ananias enter and lay his hands on him to restore his sight."
13 Ngem simmungbat ni Ananias, “Apo, nangngegko manipud iti kaaduan ti maipanggep iti daytoy a tao, no kasano ti panangranggas nga inaramidna kadagiti tattaom idiay Jerusalem.
"But, Lord," said Ananias, "I have heard from many about that man, and how much evil he did to the saints at Jerusalem!
14 Addaan isuna iti karbengan manipud iti panguloen dagiti papadi a mangtiliw iti tunggal maysa ditoy nga umaw-awag iti naganmo.”
"In this city, too, he has authority from the chief priests to arrest all those who call upon thy name."
15 Ngem kinuna ti Apo kenkuana, “Mapanka, ta isuna ket napili nga agbalin nga instrumentok, a mangawit iti naganko kadagiti Hentil ken ar-ari ken kadagiti annak ti Israel;
"Go," answered the Lord, "this man is chosen instrument of mine to bear my name before the nations and their kings, and before the Children of Israel also;
16 ta ipakitakto kenkuana no kasanonto kadagsen ti masapul a sagabaenna maigapu iti naganko.”
"for I am going to show him all he has to suffer for the sake of my name."
17 Pimmanaw ngarud ni Ananias, ket simrek iti balay. Iti panangipatayna iti imana kenkuana, kinunana, “Kabsat Saulo, ni Apo Jesus a nagparang kenka idiay kalsada idi paumayka, ket imbaonnak tapno maawatmo koma ti panagkitam ken mapnoanka iti Espiritu Santo.”
And so Ananias went and entered into the house, and laying his hands on him, said, "Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, who appeared to you on your journey, has sent me that you may receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
18 Dagus nga adda kasla siksik a natinnag manipud iti mata ni Saulo, ket inawatna ti panagkitana; timmakder isuna ken nabautisaran;
Instantly something like scales fell from his eyes, and he received his sight. He arose and was baptized.
19 ken nangan isuna ket napapigsa. Nakipagian isuna kadagiti adalan idiay Damasco iti sumagmamano nga aldaw.
Afterward he took food and was strengthened. And he remained for some time with the disciples at Damascus.
20 Dagus nga inwaragawagna ni Jesus kadagiti sinagoga, imbagbagana a ni Jesus ti Anak ti Dios.
And he began at once to proclaim in the synagogues Jesus as the Son of God.
21 Amin a nakangngeg kenkuana ket nasdaaw ken kinunada, “Saan kadi a daytoy ti lalaki a nangidadanes kadagiti adda idiay Jerusalem nga immawag iti daytoy a nagan? Ken immay isuna ditoy tapno ipanna ida a sibabalud kadagiti panguloen dagiti papadi.
His hearers were all astonished, and began to say. "Is not this the very man who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called upon the Name? Did he not come hither for the express purpose of carrying them all in chains to the high priests?"
22 Ngem napabileg ni Saulo a mangikasaba ken mangriro kadagiti Judio nga agnanaed idiay Damasco babaen iti panangpaneknekna a daytoy a Jesus ket isu ti Cristo.
But Saul gained more and more influence, and kept putting the Jews who lived in Damascus to confusion by his proof that Jesus was the Christ.
23 Kalpasan ti adu nga aldaw, sangsangkamaysa a pinanggep dagiti Judio a papatayen isuna.
And when many days were fulfilled the Jews made a plot to kill Saul;
24 Ngem naamoan ni Saulo ti panggepda. Binantayanda dagiti ruangan iti aldaw ken rabii tapno patayenda isuna.
but information of their plot was given Saul, and although they kept watch day and night on the gates, in order to make away with him,
25 Ngem innala isuna dagiti adalanna iti rabii ket inyulogda iti pader, impababada babaen iti kuribot.
his disciples took him by night, and let him down over the wall, lowering him in a basket.
26 Idi immay isuna idiay Jerusalem, pinadas ni Saulo ti makikadua kadagiti adalan, ngem mabutengda amin kenkuana, saanda a mamati nga isuna ket maysa nga adalan.
So he came to Jerusalem, and attempted to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, because they did not believe that he was a disciple.
27 Ngem innala isuna ni Barnabas ket impanna isuna kadagiti apostol. Ket imbagana kadakuada no kasano a nakita ni Saulo ti Apo iti dalan kalsada ken imbagana a nakisao ti Apo kenkuana, ken no kasano a situtured a nangasaba ni Saulo idiay Damasco iti nagan ni Jesus.
But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, and told them how Saul had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him; and also how he had preached the Name of the Lord Jesus boldly at Damascus.
28 Nakisinnarak isuna kadagiti apostol ken kadagiti dadduma pay a namati nga adda idiay Jerusalem. Situtured isuna a nagsao iti nagan ni Apo Jesus
Henceforth Saul was one of them, going in and out of the city, and speaking fearlessly in the Name of the Lord.
29 ken nakilinnawag isuna kadagiti Judio a taga-Grecia; ngem kanayonda a padpadasen a papatayen isuna.
He also used to hold conversations and debates with the Grecian Jews, but they kept trying to kill him.
30 Idi naammoan dagiti kakabsat daytoy, insalogda isuna idiay Cesarea ket kalpasanna, imbaonda isuna idiay Tarso.
When they learned this the brothers took him down to Caesarea, and then sent him forth to Tarsus.
31 Ket idin, dagiti iglesia iti amin a Judea, Galilea, ken Samaria ket naaddaan iti talna ken napadakkel; ken, agbibiagda nga addaan panagbuteng iti Apo ken panangliwliwa ti Espiritu Santo, ket immadu ti iglesia.
Now throughout the whole of Judea, Galilee, and Samaria the Church continued to enjoy peace and to be spiritually built up. It was increasing in members also, as it kept walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
32 Ita, napasamak nga iti ipapan ni Pedro iti entero a rehion, napan met isuna kadagiti tao ti Dios nga agnanaed iti ili ti Lidda.
Now Peter, as he was going from town to town, came down also to the saints who lived in Lydda.
33 Sadiay, adda nasarakanna a maysa a tao a managan Eneas, a tallo a tawenen nga adda iti iddana, ta isuna ket paralisado.
Here he found a man named Aeneas, bedridden for eight years, a paralytic.
34 Kinuna ni Pedro kenkuana, “Eneas, pinaimbagnaka ni Jesu-Cristo. Tumakderka ket isimpam ta nagiddaam.” Ket dagus a timmakder isuna.
Peter said to him. "Aeneas, Jesus Christ cures you! Rise and make your own bed!"
35 Isu nga amin dagiti agnanaed idiay Lidda ken Sarona ket nakitada ti lalaki ket namatida iti Apo.
At once he rose to his feet. All the people of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.
36 Ita, adda maysa nga adalan idiay Joppa a managan Tabita, a naipatarus a kas “Dorcas.” Daytoy a babai ket napnoan iti naimbag ken addaan asi nga ar-aramid nga inaramidna kadagiti marigrigat.
Among the disciples at Joppa was a woman named Tabitha - which may be translated Dorcas or "Gazelle" - a woman whose life was full of good works and almsgiving, which she was doing continually.
37 Immay ti kanito kadagidi nga al-aldaw a nagsakit isuna ket natay; idi nabugoandan isuna, impaiddada isuna iti akin-ngato a siled.
She, as it happened, was taken ill just at that time, and died. After washing her body, they laid it in an upper room.
38 Gapu ta asideg ti Lidda iti Joppa, ken nangngeg dagiti adalan nga adda ni Pedro sadiay, nangibaonda iti dua a lallaki kenkuana, a nagpakpakaasi kenkuana, “Umayka kadakami a dagus.”
And as Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, when they heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him with the entreaty, "Delay not to come to us."
39 Timmakder ni Pedro ket nakikuyog kadakuada. Idi simmangpetdan, impanda isuna iti akin-ngato a siled. Ket amin dagiti balo, nakatakderda iti abayna nga agsangsangit, impakpakitada kenkuana dagiti kagay ken luplupot nga inaramid ni Dorcas idi adda paylaeng isuna kadakuada.
So Peter arose and went with them. On his arrival they took him up- stairs, and all the widows stood near him, weeping, and showing him the cloaks and garments which Dorcas used to make, while she was still with them.
40 Pinarruar ida amin ni Pedro manipud iti siled, nagparintumeng, ket nagkararag; tinalliawna ti bagi ket kinunana, “Tabita, bumangonka.” Nagmulagat isuna, ket idi nakitana ni Pedro, nagtugaw isuna.
But Peter put them all out, and kneeled down, and prayed; and then turning to the body, he said, "Tabitha, rise!" She opened her eyes, and on seeing Peter she sat up.
41 Inyawat ni Pedro ti imana kenkuana ket pinatakderna isuna; ket idi inayabanna dagiti namati ken dagiti balo, imparangna isuna a sibibiag kadakuada.
Then he gave her his hand and raised her up, and after calling the saints and the widows, he gave her back to them alive.
42 Daytoy a banag ket naammoan iti entero a Joppa, ket adu a tattao ti namati iti Apo.
This incident became known throughout Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
43 Napasamak ngarud a nakipagian ni Pedro iti adu nga aldaw idiay Joppa iti tao a managan Simon, maysa nga agkurkurti iti lalat.
Peter stayed for some time in Joppa, lodging in the house of Simon, the tanner.
