1 Siak ni Pedro, maysa nga apostol ni Jesu-Cristo, kadagiti napili a gangannaet iti pannakaiwarwara iti entero a Ponto, Galacia, Capadocia, Asia ken Bitinia,
PETROS, an apostle of Jeshu Meshiha, to the chosen-ones and sojourners who are scattered in Pontos and in Galatia, and in Kapadukia, and in Asia, and in Bithunia:
2 sigun iti pannakaammoda iti Dios nga Ama, babaen iti panangpasanto ti Espiritu Santo, para iti panagtulnog kenni Jesu -Cristo, ken para iti pannakaiwarsi iti darana. Umadu koma kadakayo ti parabur ken talna.
them who are elected by the foreknowledge of Aloha the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, that they might be unto obedience, and unto the sprinkling of the blood of Jeshu Meshiha: grace and peace be multiplied with you.
3 Madaydayaw koma ti Dios nga Ama ni Apotayo a Jesu-Cristo. Gapu iti dakkel nga asina, binaliwannatayo nga inyanak a para iti namnama iti maysa a tawid babaen iti panagungar ni Jesu-Cristo manipud ken patay—
Blessed be Aloha, the Father of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, who by his abundant grace hath begotten us anew through the resurrection of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha unto the hope of salvation,
4 para iti maysa a tawid a saanto a mapukaw, saanto nga aglati, ken saanto nga agkupas. Naidulin idiay langit para kadakayo.
and to the inheritance which is not corruptible, and not defiled, and not to be consumed, which is prepared for you in heaven,
5 Nasalaknibankayo babaen iti pannakabalin ti Dios babaen iti pammati para iti pannakaisalakan a nakasagana a maiparangarang iti maud-udi nga al-aldaw.
while you are kept by the power of Aloha and through faith, unto the salvation which is prepared to be revealed in the last times;
6 Agragsakkayo iti daytoy, uray pay ita ket kasapulanyo ti makarikna iti panagliday gapu iti kaadu dagiti nadumaduma a pannubok.
wherein you will rejoice for ever, though in this little time you are afflicted by manifold temptations which pass over you;
7 Tapno mapadas ti pammatiyo, pammati a napatpateg pay ngem balitok, a mapukaw iti apuy a mangpadas iti pammatiyo. Agparang daytoy tapno agbanag ti pammatiyo a pakaidayawan, dayag ken tan-ok iti pannakaiparangarang ni Jesu Cristo.
that the proof of your faith may be seen, which is more precious than gold refined which is proved in fire, unto praise and unto honour and unto glory, at the revelation of Jeshu Meshiha;
8 Saanyo isuna a nakita, ngem ay-ayatenyo isuna. Saanyo isuna a makita ita, ngem mamatikayo kenkuana ket maragsakankayo unay nga addaan ti saan a maiyebkas a rag-o a napno iti dayag.
whom you have not seen and (yet) love, and in whose faith you exult with glorious joy that is not spoken:
9 Aw-awatenyo itan ti pagbanagan ti pammatiyo, ti pannakaisalakan dagiti kararuayo.
that you may receive the recompence of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
10 Siaannad a sinuksukimat ken sinapsapul dagiti profeta iti maipapan daytoy a pannakaisalakan, maipanggep iti parabur a kukuayonto.
That salvation which the prophets investigated when they prophesied concerning the grace which was to be given unto you,
11 Nagsukimatda tapno maammoanda no ania a kita ti pannakaisalakan ti umay. Nagsukimatda met tapno maamoanda no ania ti tiempo ti imbaga ti Espiritu ni Cristo nga adda idi kadakuada. Mapaspasamak dagitoy kas ipakpakaunanan kadakuada maipanggep iti panagsagaba ni Cristo ken kadagiti daydayag a sumarunonto kenkuana.
and searched into, what time the Spirit of the Meshiha who dwelt in them showed and testified of the future sufferings of the Meshiha, and his glory which (should be) after them.
12 Naiparangarang daytoy kadagiti profeta a pagserbiandanto dagitoy a banbanag, saan a para iti bagbagida —ngem para kadakayo—ti panangibaga kadagitoy a banbanag babaen kadagiti mangyeg iti ebanghelio kadakayo babaen iti Espiritu Santo a naibaon manipud langit, banbanag nga uray dagiti anghel ket tartarigagayanda a maiparangarang.
And all that they searched was revealed to them; for not for themselves they inquired, but to us (and) of us they prophesied those (blessings) which now are revealed to you by them who have preached to you by the Spirit of Holiness which is sent from heaven; for into these themselves the angels also desire to look.
13 Isu a sisasagana ti nakemyo. Ken annadanyo ti panagpanpanunotyo. Maaddaankayo iti naan-anay a namnama iti parabur a maitedto kadakayo iti pannakaiparangarang ni Jesu- Cristo.
Wherefore gird up the loins of your minds, and be fully wakeful, and hope for the joy that cometh to you at the revelation of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha;
14 Kas natulnog nga annak, saanyo a suroten dagiti tarigagayyo a sinurotyo idi awan pay pannakaammoyo.
as obedient children, and not partaking again of the former desires which you desired when ignorant.
15 Ngem kas iti nangayab kadakayo ket nasantoan, agsantokayo met iti amin a kababalinyo iti biag.
But be holy in all your conversations, as he is holy who calleth you;
16 Ta naisurat, ''Agsantokayo, gapu ta siak santoak.''
because it is written, Be ye holy, as I also am holy.
17 Ket no awaganyo nga ''Ama'' ti awan idumdumana a mangukom segun iti aramid ti tunggal maysa, busbusenyo ti tiempo iti panagdaliasatyo nga addaan iti panagraem.
And if you call him Father before whom there is no respect of persons, and who judgeth every man according to his works, with fear conduct you in this time of your sojourn;
18 Ammoyo a saan a babaen iti pirak wenno balitok—banbanag nga agpukaw—a nasubbotkayo manipud iti minamaaag a kababalin a naadalyo kadagiti ammayo.
while you know that not with silver which wasteth away, nor with gold, you have been redeemed from your vain works which you received from your fathers,
19 Ngem nasubbotkayo babaen iti napateg a dara ni Cristo, kas maysa a kordero nga awan pakapilawanna ken awan mulitna.
but with the precious blood of the Lamb spotless and unblemished, who is the Meshiha;
20 Napilin ni Cristo sakbay ti pannakaparsua ti lubong, ngem ita kadagitoy maud-udi a tiempo, naiparangarang isuna kadakayo.
who was afore-separated for this from before the foundations of the world, and hath been manifested in these last times for you,
21 Namatikayo iti Dios babaen kenkuana, a pinagungar ti Dios manipud iti patay ken nangtedanna iti dayag tapno iti pammati ken talekyo ket addada iti Dios.
who by him believe in Aloha, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and your hope may be in Aloha.
22 Inaramidyo a nasin-aw dagiti kararuayo babaen iti panagtulnogyo iti kinapudno para iti napudno a nainkabsatan nga ayat, isu nga ayatenyo ti tunggal maysa a sipapasnek.
Let your souls be sanctified in obedience to the truth, and be filled with the charity which respecteth not persons, that with a pure heart and perfect you may love one another,
23 Naiyanakkayo manen, saan a manipud iti bukel nga agrupsa, ngem manipud iti bukel a saan nga agrupsa, babaen iti sibibiag ken agtaltalinaed a sao ti Dios. (aiōn g165)
as men who are regenerated, not by a perishable seed, but by that which is imperishable, by the living word of Aloha which abideth for ever. (aiōn g165)
24 Ta ''isu-amin a lasag ket kasla ruot, ket ti amin a dayagna ket kasla sabong ti ruot. Malaylay ti ruot ken agtinnag ti sabong,
Because all flesh is grass, and all its beauty as the flower of the field. The grass withereth and the flower drieth up,
