1 Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Nke olu abụ “E bibikwala” Devid. Abụ miktam. Mgbe ọ gbapụrụ ga biri nʼime ọgba nkume nʼihi Sọl. Meere m ebere, O Chineke, meere m ebere, nʼihi na ọ bụ gị ka mkpụrụobi m ji mere ebe mgbaba. Ọ bụ na ndo nke nku gị abụọ ka m ga-agbaba tutuu ihe mbibi ndị a agafesịa.
For the end. Destroy not: by David, for a memorial, when he fled from the presence of Saul to the cave. Have mercy, upon me, O God, have mercy upon me: for my soul has trusted in thee: and in the shadow of thy wings will I hope, until the iniquity have passed away.
2 Aga m akpọku Chineke nke kachasị ihe niile elu, Chineke na-emezuru m ihe niile na-akpa m mkpa.
I will cry to God most high; the God who has benefited me. (Pause)
3 Ọ na-esite nʼeluigwe zidata inyeaka ma zọpụta m na-abara ndị ahụ ji ike na-achụ m mba; (Sela) Chineke na-ezite ịhụnanya ya na ikwesi ntụkwasị obi ya.
He sent from heaven and saved me; he gave to reproach them that trampled on me: God has sent forth his mercy and his truth;
4 Anọ m nʼetiti ọtụtụ ọdụm; amanyere m ka m dina nʼetiti ajọ anụ ọhịa, ụmụ mmadụ ndị eze ha dị nkọ dịka àkụ na ùbe, ire ha dịkwa nkọ dịka mma agha.
and he has delivered my soul from the midst of [lions']whelps: I lay down to sleep, [though] troubled. [As for] the sons of men, their teeth are arms and [missile] weapons, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 O Chineke, ka e bulie gị elu karịa eluigwe niile; ka ebube gị dị nʼelu ụwa niile.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; and thy glory above all the earth.
6 Ha gbasaara ụkwụ m ụgbụ, ihe mgbu nyịturu m. Ha egwuola olulu nʼụzọ m si agafe, ma ha onwe ha adabala nʼime ya. (Sela)
They have prepared snares for my feet, and have bowed down my soul: they have dug a pit before my face, and fallen into it [themselves]. (Pause)
7 Obi m dị njikere, o Chineke, obi m dị njikere sikwaa ike; aga m abụ abụ, kụkwaa egwu.
My heart, O God, [is] ready, my heart [is] ready: I will sing, yea will sing psalms.
8 Teta nʼụra mkpụrụobi m! Teta, ụbọ akwara na une! Aga m akpọte chi ọbụbọ.
Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I will awake early.
9 O Onyenwe anyị, aga m eto gị nʼetiti mba niile; aga m abụ abụ banyere gị nʼetiti ndị niile dị iche iche.
O Lord, I will give thanks to thee among the nations: I will sing to thee among the Gentiles.
10 Nʼihi na ịhụnanya gị dị ukwuu na-eru na mbara eluigwe; ikwesi ntụkwasị obi gị na-erukwa mbara eluigwe.
For thy mercy has been magnified even to the heavens, and thy truth to the clouds.
11 O Chineke, ka e bulie gị elu karịa eluigwe; ka ebube gị dị nʼelu ụwa niile.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; and thy glory above all the earth.
