1 Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Ọma Devid. Ka Onyenwe anyị zaa gị nʼụbọchị nsogbu gị; ka aha Chineke nke Jekọb chebe gị.
“To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” May the Lord answer thee on the day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee;
2 Ya sitekwa nʼebe nsọ ya zitere gị inyeaka, ma site na Zayọn kwagide gị.
May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and support thee from Zion;
3 Ya chetakwa aja niile ị chụrụ, ma nabata aja nsure ọkụ niile ị chụrụ nye ya. (Sela)
May he remember all thy meat-offerings, and accept in favor thy burnt-sacrifice. (Selah)
4 Ya mezukwara gị ihe niile nke obi gị na-achọ, mekwaa ka atụmatụ gị niile gaa nke ọma.
May he grant thee according to thy own heart, and fulfill all thy resolves.
5 Anyị ga-eti mkpu ọṅụ maka mmeri i meriri, buliekwa ọkọlọtọ anyị elu nʼaha Chineke anyị. Ka Onyenwe anyị mezuo arịrịọ gị niile.
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we upraise our banners: may the Lord fulfill all thy petitions.
6 Ugbu a, amaara m na Onyenwe anyị na-azọpụta onye ya o tere mmanụ; ọ na-esite nʼebe nsọ ya nʼeluigwe jiri aka nri ya, zọpụta ma zakwaa ya.
Now I know that the Lord saveth his anointed: he will answer him from his holy heavens, with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Ụfọdụ na-atụkwasị obi ha na ịnyịnya, ndị ọzọ nʼụgbọ agha; ma anyị na-atụkwasị aha Onyenwe anyị, Chineke anyị, obi.
Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; but we will invoke the name of the Lord our God.
8 Ha na-egbu ikpere nʼala ma daa, ma anyị ga-ebili, kwụrụ chịm.
They are prostrate and fallen; but we are risen up and stand erect.
9 O Onyenwe anyị, zọpụta eze! Zakwaa anyị mgbe anyị kpọkuru gị!
O Lord, save [us]: may the king answer us on the day when we call [on him].
